Dota 2 hacked account email
Dota 2 hacked account email
Guys, i’m really desperate at this moment. this just happen 2 weeks ago.
At the very 1st email i received from Steam, that’s in Russian and i have no idea what going to happen. I’m actually set phone authentication long time ago, but i never know that’s another way to login steam account which call “Steam Guard Mobile Authenticatoin backup code used”.
I received this email from steam everyday since 4th Dec 2017 till 8th Dec 2017, i keep wondering what’s the problem of steam keep sending me this, as i never online this week due to my work.
Today i received the same email again, and i login my Dota 2, password never change, but i found all my valuable items GONE!! ALL GONE. I’m so shock and 1st thing i do is change my steam login password, and send thread to steam help, then i check my item transaction history, i found nothing, my last transaction history is 8th Aug 2017, so my item just DISAPPEAR??
I’m wondering how is this happen, all transaction should go through my phone Steam Guard Mobile Authentication but i never allow any access for any transaction in pass 2 weeks. Is steam still possible protect us from hacker? I’m totally losing my confidence now.
What i lost is few thousands dollar item, since i have 1k+ level at 2015 TI event, 3k+ level at 2016 TI event and 2k+ level in 2017 Ti event, and some extra item as 4 or 5 arcana which i cannot remember already.
My last hope is steam can find them for me, and to who saw this post go to check your email, if you received email from steam and the topic is “Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator backup code used” , you may need to change your password immediately else you will face the same problem like me. I’m going pray for now, pray for me too thankyou T. T
items can leave your inventory in 2 ways
-traded away as gifts (expecting nothing in return and requiring YOUR confirmation in the mobile app) if this is the case, you can easily find who got your items in your trade history (warning, according to steam trading rules, trades cannot be reverted, as you are suposed to have confirmed it personally in your phone, so if you lost your items this way, there odds are 99.99% you are not getting a **** back)
-sent as gifts, can only be sent to 30+ days old friends, these items are locked in the account that received them as gifts, and cannot be traded, listed on the market or re-gifted for at least 15 days
In this case, you can take a look at the whole inventories of your 30+days old friends and find out who has your stuff, if you cant find them which means the account that received the items unfriended you, well, sorry it was not your friend, it was still your fault for whatever you did to get these results
remember to go and read the support info about being scammed/robbed
your items and account are YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY
valve already provides enough security measures to protect your valuables
if you have the mobile authenticator enabled, nobody can access your steam account unless you stupidly provide them the 5digit steam guard code, which means nobody can access your account and freely gift your stuff to other people + only you can accept and confirm (in your mobile app) any trade involving items leaving your account
if you don’t have the mobile app, your account can only send gifts to 1year old friends (by this long time, they are suposed to be people you can trust, or you would have unfriended them months ago) + any trade involving items leaving your account is held by steam for 15 DAYS, which is a long enough period of time for you to know something is happening without your consent
there is no way you can lose a single item without it being 100% YOUR FAULT
so better remember if you forgot your account session opened in a “cafe cyber”, if you clicked that ****ty link your “friend” keeps spamming and dowloaded a virus/spyware/malware, if you logged in in a shady gambling/scamming ♥♥♥♥♥ite with your steam account or if you stupidly gave your 5digit steam guard code to a random scammer in a chat
in any of those cases, it was your fault and nobody will help you
in the extremely rare (almost impossible) case it was not your fault, go and contact steam support for help, but if they ever find out you are lying and you did some of the above stupidity, they wont help you at all, the only reply you will get is the generic “we are sorry (no we don’t, actually we don’t give a s) but steam support cannot grant or modify items”
and posting your rants and your “i’m losing my conf >I got scammed I gave away my items, and now want to revert the trade, please help me” posts every week
