Introduction

Earthshock: In my opinion, this move is not that good and there is not really any point in upgrading it early if you want those kills. The casting time and damage isn’t worth the levels.

Overpower: This is Ursa’s “bread and butter” skill. It is extremely powerful and has a low cooldown and mana cost. This move is what gets you most of your kills (especially in the early game).

Fury Swipes: This skill is also very good and is key to a successful game with Ursa. Dota 2 lina guide dota fire ursa It stacks damage per attack and just imagine how much more damage that is when you have your late game items.

Enrage: Ursa’s ultimate is probably the cheesiest in the all of Dota. Dota 2 lina guide dota fire ursa It is extremely powerful, has a low cooldown time and does so much damage when you have your vlads.

Disruptor: Glimpse gets you early kills and you have to dive less towers

Huskar: At times, Huskar is annoying piece of **** and is so hard to kill.

All these times are estimated after what I have done in each game, time may change due to a few early kills or a few early deaths (or bad farming).

Early Game

Early game for Ursa is all the way until he gets his Vlads (then proceeds to slay roshan). In your lane you should be either top or bottom (hardly ever mid unless they decide to put a melee hero mid). You should NEVER EVER be with another carry in the lane because this just limits the last hits you can get. When you spawn ask one of your teammates to buy a courier. Next, buy your starting items which are:
– Two tangos
– 1 Salve
-2 Iron branches

Basically now you want to start farming, wait to get all the last hits. If for some reason your low on health, you should use a tango or slave and stay close to the creeps, don’t last hit but make sure to be within xp range. As soon as you can afford your boots of speed make sure you buy them (obviously using the courier). At this point if you are against another melee hero you can alternate between harassing with Fury Swipes and sometimes Overpower whilst farming. During this point of the game you should be leveling up at least once every minute and you should have your vlads by 10 minutes in. If you know you can get any sure kills, then go for them but you should not die at all during this stage in the game.

As soon as you have your vlads, go to Roshan and using Overpower and Enrage kill him. Pick up the Aegis and get out of the area as fast as you can so you don’t get ganked. Now, the M >

Middle Game

This is your main ganking/pushing phase of the game. At this point you can almost kill any hero. So all you need to do is activate Overpower go up to the hero start attacking and activate Enrage. If they manage to escape with very low life, use your Phase Boots and chase them down. However, be careful as there might be other heroes waiting for you. You can participate in team fights but usually, Ursa is just the clean-up crew. This is when the item build becomes very flexible. If you are missing a lot of kills due to escaping heroes or your team needs more map control, go for a Blink Dagger. If you are taking quite a bit of damage or are against heroes like: Phantom Assassain, Huskar, Anti-Mage or Faceless Void, you may want to get Blademail as its added damage and armor are great not to mention that Damage Return is great to have when soloing a high damage hero or when in team fights.

The next items you should go for are Black King Bar (BKB) and Skull Basher. These two items will help you just dominate the other team giving you magic immunity and a stun. This stun will prevent heroes from getting away from you and the BKB will almost guarantee you will not die in team fights. Remember, Roshan spawns every 10 minutes so keep an eye on the time. By level 16 Ursa should be able to almost solo towers. It is important to destroy the towers using Overpower and Enrage, as the money earned by destroying towers is invaluable.

Late Game

At this point in the game you should be very hard to kill even in a 5 or 4 v 1 situation. If you get your HoT stacked with high armor you hardly lose any health. One thing that is worth mentioning (learned this from experience) don’t forget to push. At times you can be so obsessed with just watching that other heroes health bar go down that you forget about winning. If you play Ursa correctly and reach the item goals, you and your team should win. If you do end up being beaten, you should just tip your hat to the other team and acknowledge they were just better.
