Dota 2 literally no damage
Dota 2 literally no damage
I have been playing dragon knight for the past couple of days and I am finding him to be a low average carry at best. He has no real dps that compares with other carries coupled with very slow mooving speed while not in dragon form. He has one stun and it doesnt really help him kill anyone 1v1 since his Q barely does enough dmg for me to finish him off.
Maybe he is not mean to solo at all but I find him to just be a support dps instead of a carry which really sucks due to his awesome transformation.
The dragon form is strong but not enough imo to really make him an effective carry, maybe I am playing him wrong and wont mind suggestions.

He’s a powerful carry. He’s naturally very tanky and his autoattack buffs from dragon form are great. He’s easily outcarried by quite a few others.
Don’t forget Dragon knight isn’t really the dps kinda carry like Void or so. He just gets incredibly tanky lategame.
top pick in the eastern pro scene
Thanks for the positive input Super mega and Valzeras, I agree that he is a support dps and can be easily outcarried, that’s a shame. That means I will rarely if ever see my dragon knight carry pub games unlike sniper, riki, ursa etc.
He is very tanky but it does not compensate in my opinion. I would rather play Axe and Brewmaster for these roles which I will for certain gain more kills and have a stronger game at all levels.
DK is a very balanced hero who can fit into many roles, but because of the same reason there will always be heroes which are more suited for any particular role. This guy is in a good shape during every stage of game.
Q – I wouldn’t call 300 magic damage something that “barely is enough” and it’s an aoe spell, there are not many better non-ultimate abilities similar to this;
W – 3.25 seconds stun with a 9 seconds cooldown which becomes ranged while in dragon form, nothing more to add here – you will disable enemies for an eternity;
E – gives him very nice bonus to survivability during every stage of game (regen for early game, armor for the rest);
R – that’s the main reason why he can be considered as carry – thanks to splash damage he will usually affect more than one enemy during teamfght, on the third level there also comes movement and attack slow;
Items for DK should be also pretty straight forward – you stack on even more +armor, add to it +str and +attack speed (carry version) and you are going to melt down enemy team without a problem. He may not be the best 1 vs 1 hero, but a huge contribution to a team fight for sure. And Dota is a team game after all.
I have heard he is mostly an Anti-carry.
I think his stun goes through bkb too.
Edit:
I checked and his stun doesn’t go through bkb.

♥♥♥♥ the DOTA 2 community. Yes, Dragon Tail is a good stun. However, it scales ♥♥♥♥ing terribly. It should not start at 2.5 and go up by .25 ( also damage, 25 damage? Svens is RANGED and does way more than that. Also a 2 second stun.). There’s literally no point in upgrading the skill past 1 until everything else is full level. His dragon form is good and all, but he’s still slow as ♥♥♥♥. When I imagine a dragon soaring through the sky, it shouldn’t be as slow as Sky Fortress.
Dragon Knight doesn’t suck, but you guys know he needs at least some type of buff. So stop denying it just to be an ♥♥♥.

Fire Breath is one of the best AoE nukes in the game, it deals high damage with a low cooldown and even reduces damage. Dragon Tail is the longest garuanteed non-untimate stun in the game, so yes, It has lower damage. His passive is ridiculously good, it makes him super tanky, especially early on, he practically impossible to kill with physical daamge due to his Q and E, and his ult is admittedly pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at level 1, but becomes the only ranged cleave in the game and a free Skadi. Dragon Knight is a great hero, some people play him wrong. You are likely one of these, angry you didn’t stomp with DK, and now belive he needs a buff. He really doesn’t.
So stop denying it just to be an ♥♥♥.
dk is one of my fav char and i want to say that u play wrong only. even wiki wont deny that dk is a hard carry which turning him into one of the most dangerous beasts in late game, capable of eliminating multiple enemies at once. :3
