First i would like to thank you for your reply, secondly here are the answers to your questions:
2- I never had a problem installing any updates and i just opened it again now and it downloaded a windows defender update and now it says your pc is up to date.
I only have W10 on a 2nd disk with dual boot so the issue is not critical for me but anyway i switched to W10 to follow the steps you gave me first i had an extremely slow startup and couldn’t even open my start menu so i checked my resource monitor and the disk usage was on 100% constantly and it went back to normal after ending a system process(unfortunately i forgot the name) and i launched Dota more time before creating a 2nd account and it worked with no crashes, i don’t know what it was but i can tell you it wasn’t a 1 time thing here are the steps i tried with no success:
– Turned off all other background applications.
– Ran the game with W8 compatibility.
But it worked now, i will update this again if i run into the issue again.
EDIT: The game just crashed twice not on launch though it just randomly crashes with no error. How do i specifically get the event log for dota 2? i opened the event viewer by cant find any entries with the name dota. Dota 2 startup errors
