General DiscussionIs dota the most high skill game there is?

I think so. Maybe fighting games are close in terms of execution but dota is deeper in the other gameplay.
Thoughts?

Also sure the game can be cancer from the matchmaking and report system but holy fuck I love this retarded ass game since I played my first dota 1 matches. There is nothing like a good match of dota .

Mechnically? Hell no. Starcraft 1 > Warcraft 3 > Starcraft 2 > Dota 1 > Dota 2.

Other games requiere the same amount of “big brain time”, just with different aspects. Football isn’t more skill based than basketball. You need different skills, but the overall requirment to perform at the toplvl is just equally high aka can’t be compared.

Rocket league requires more skill for sure. Anyone can click an ability button on dota or league.

Dota would be a more complex and more interesting game if you could play as the five heros at the same time, that’d be somewhat complex

Almost everyone ran CC script that detected anyone using scripts at high levels because we didn’t have time to waste on retards. As a player who hit A – semi pro and also had an EAPM of 189 Average and played against Pros that’s extremely false. I played like 150 games a month and would only run into 5 Scripters on average and only 1 being on iccup which would get banned shortly after due to their strict rules. #2 Saynig pros don’t micro much? once again a player that only plays vs dumpster tier players. Every game above C+ was full of casting and Micro. You fail ur goon micro vs the first Vulture rush WHICH THEY MICRO you lose. Clearly you never played BW at a high Level. “Fighting games you cant plan more then 2 or 3 moves ahead.” once again a player who didn’t play at high skill. You have to plan several moves in head from looking for the TOD combo to every block sequence if applicable to what fighters have abilities that miss simply from body design. FighterZ for example.
