Dota Asia Championships (DAC)
The Dota2 Asia Championships holds the number 1 spot among the best eSports tournaments in the world in 2019. Perfect World and MarsTV arranged this competition known as The Oriental. Several great teams had their direct invitations to the qualifiers. The thematic format of the tournament received huge praise over the globe. This tournament also made sensations for the unusual difference of the location of the LAN finals being in Shanghai, China, a city in the East. Not so much as Seattle, Washington, USA or Cologne, Germany, cities in the West, the DAC 2015 has since been referred to as The International of the East.
The Manila Major
At number 2 in our list, the Manila Major is the third event of Valve’s Dota Major Championships. The main event venue is at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. The Manila Major 2016 is the third seasonal Valve-sponsored Major to be arranged, after the Shanghai Major 2016. The event would be organized by Romanian gaming company PGL eSports, and take place between June 7th – 12th at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Like previous Majors, it had featured 16 teams competing for a total prize pool of $3 million USD. Promotional item information was on full throttle. The main event took place at the Mall of Asia Arena from June 7–12, 2016.
The DOTA 2 International
At number 3 of the best eSports tournaments in 2019, The International Dota 2 Championships 2015 was the fifth annual edition of The International. The tournament was organized in Seattle for its fourth consecutive year, and the second consecutive year that the Main Event venue was at KeyArena, a multi-purpose arena in Seattle Center with a total seating capacity of over 17,000.
This tournament created a buzz way before it started as it acclaimed as the biggest event of one of the most popular online games. The tournament was formally announced on January 7, 2015. Notably, the Main Event at KeyArena had featured 16 teams, an increase from the 8 of The International 2014.
The Annual International
Seattle, Washington, hosted the International Dota 2 Championships. The city hosted the fourth edition of The International for the third consecutive year. Unlike the previous two years though, the tournament was held at the KeyArena, which is a multi-purpose arena in Seattle Center with a total seating capacity of over 17,000 people.
A grand total of 16 teams had competed in the main event of the tournament. 11 of these players received a direct invite, while 4 teams had to qualify through separate regional qualifiers. Besides, the runners-up in those qualifiers achieved one last shot at competing for the final spot in the main tournament.
