Dota 2 Compendium: Deserts And Wizard Hats

1st May 2015 / 12:00PM

Settle ye down, for ’tis time for some Dota 2 Compendium talk.

In case you’ve missed the now-yearly “You people spent *how much* on a digital sticker book?” articles, the Compendium is Valve’s way of sourcing a community contribution towards its annual International Dota tournament prize pool, increasing #engagement and, obv, making money. In return for contributing, players get treasure chests, loading screens, item effects, in-game pets and so on. More money in the pot unlocks stretch goals like a new type of terrain, emoticons etc etc. You can see the reawards and unlockables in full after the jump.

25% of the profits from the Compendium go towards the prize pool. Last year that same setup pushed an initial $1.6m to a ridiculous $10.9m – three times the size of the next largest prize pool in eSports.

Here are this year’s level rewards (you need 100 points per level):

2 – International Teleport Effect I
3 – Portfolio of Heroes Envisioned
4 – Emoticon Pack
5 – Manual of Fearsome Moves
6 – International Fountain Effect I
7 – Emoticon Pack
8 – Portfolio of Heroes Envisioned
10 – Immortal Treasure I
11 – Portfolio of Heroes Envisioned
14 – Portfolio of Heroes Envisioned
15 – Portfolio of Heroes Envisioned
20 – Immortal Treasure II
24 – International Blink Effect I
25 – 125% Coin Rate + Coin Charm + Fire Wyvern Style
30 – Immortal Treasure I
35 – Manual of Fearsome Moves

45 – International Dagon Effect I
50 – Almond the Frondillo Pet
55 – Manual of Fearsome Moves
60 – Immortal Treasure I
65 – International Bottle Effect 1
70 – Immortal Treasure II + Manual of Fearsome Moves
75 – 200% Coin Rate + Coin Charm + International Chat Color II + International Eul’s Effect

130 – Immortal Treasure II
135 – Effigy Reforger Pack + Axe Immortal Additional Style
140 – Immortal Treasure III
145 – International Dagon Effect II
150 – Immortal Treasure I + Immortal Treasure II + Immortal Treasure III
160 – Immortal Treasure I (repeats every 30 levels)
170 – Immortal Treasure II (repeats every 30 levels)
175 – Enigma Artifact Item + Coin Charm (repeats every 50 levels)
180 – Immortal Treasure III (repeats every 30 levels)
185 – Effigy Reforger Pack (repeats every 50 levels)
200 – 300% Coin Rate + Gold Wyvern Style
250 – Solid Gold Effigy Block

And this year’s stretch goals:

$1,600,000 Compendium coins
$2,000,000 – Cursor pack
$2,500,000 – Vote for the All-Star match lineup
$3,000,000 – Immortal Treasure I

$13,000,000 – Announcer pack
$14,000,000 – New weather effects
$15,000,000 – Special Axe immortal and longform comic

These are the thoughts I’ve had:

1. HOLY SHIT A DESERT TERRAIN OPTION I MUST HAVE THIS WAIT CAN YOU STILL HAVE A RIVER IN A DESERT WOULD IT BE LIKE THE NILE WITH FERTILE GROUND ON EACH SIDE RECEDING AS YOU MOVE AWAY ARE THERE GOING TO BE CROCODILES.

2. Do you think it will actually get to $11m to unlock the desert stretch goal? Because sure, last year’s Compendium did crazy money, but so many other tournaments do Compendiums now and perhaps Dota fans will be a bit tapped out by this point, or at least not willing to chuck quite as much into the International prize pool?

3. Hold. The. Phone. There is an armadillo pet – no wait! A Frondillo. Is that better or worse than Viva Pinata’s Parmadillo?

4. Dillo Jean break:

5. I also really like the idea of completing challenges where you can earn extra points by doing things like de-warding or assisting with kills or earning certain kill streaks. That’s in there this time around.

6. COMPENDIUM FEARS AND DOUBTS:

Firstly, the Compendium started life a couple of years back as a kind of Jack-of-all-trades. It was a sticker collection and a fantasy league and a prediction game and a present package and so on. Last year that stuff was present but the whole thing felt far more obviously geared towards items and rewards and paying rather than the other aspects. You could buy points to level up faster and gain treasure drops and, I remember at the time, I sometimes felt I was missing out by choosing to try and level naturally. That’s also to do with being part of a group which was happy to put money in, I think, but it felt uncomfortable at times.

This year the cool items element is even more prominent. There might be other aspects which get added in after the teams are announced – I assume there will be prediction games and collectible cards since there’s already a prediction game for which teams will be invited – but they’re not mentioned in the blog entry at all. Don’t get me wrong – the Compendium has ALWAYS been about making money and getting digital presents but the money-making element feels closer to what I associate more with a subset of pushy free-to-play titles. This might just be to do with the change in my relationship with the game and the money I’m willing to spend. I know a lot of people are really excited about the cosmetics and that I’m probably in the minority with this particular doubt. That said, when you buy this year’s Compendium your first action is to make a choice between spending $9.99 on a basic book or $26.99 on one which starts you at level 50 with a bunch of rewards already in-hand so it’s more clearly transactional.

The other element which seems to be either missing or needs a bit of clarification is who benefits from the stretch goals being reached. Obviously the Compendium owners, the prize pool recipients and Valve, BUT last year a selection of the rewards would be unlocked through Compendium sales but would then be available to all players, regardless of whether they had bought in or not. Valve made that clear on the stretch goal info. I’m looking down the list and it doesn’t explicitly state that this is the case with any of this year’s stretch goals.

It’s such a little thing really, but I liked that some of the Compendium/International goodwill filtered into the game for everyone – this year feels more like a straight pre-ordering system for fancy stuff.

LEC coaches: Internet in Berlin is “terrible,” Vodafone and infrastructure to blame

The internet in Berlin has been bad for years and could stop teams from preparing for Worlds.

The League of Legends World Championship returns to Europe this year. The play-in stage kicks off on Oct. 2 in the Riot LEC studios in Berlin, Germany. After that, the action will move to Spain for the quarterfinals before culminating in Paris, France for the final.

But the road to Paris could be rocky for teams competing in the tournament, according to some LEC coaches, and it’s not just because of the competition. The internet in Berlin has been terrible for years, making scrims and practice difficult.

The issues have been especially prevalent this summer, with another round of outages happening this week right as LEC teams are preparing for the regional gauntlet to determine the final Worlds seeding for the region. With multiple international teams expected to bootcamp in Berlin to prepare for Worlds, the city’s shaky connections could stop those practices before they even begin.

Terrible, Awful

The controversy was first brought to the public eye this week when Spylce coach Hadrien “Duke” Forestier tweeted about his team’s connection during their practice for the LEC gauntlet. Despite the Splyce team house having two internet lines and a backup mobile connection, his team had no connection for days. That meant no scrims, no solo queue—nothing.

Duke on Twitter

Day 5: still no internet, we don’t know if we will still be alive for Gauntlet. Jokes aside, I don’t understand how one of the biggest esport league in the world stays in fucking Berlin. This split we lost more than 2 full weeks of practice because of internet being down.

This sounds pretty bad, but according to Duke, it’s nothing new for Berlin. In a text interview with Dot Esports, Duke explained just how long and how bad the situation has become.

“Internet has always been terrible in Berlin for as long as I have been coaching (3 years),” Duke said. “[There’s] very low speed and bandwidth compared to what I am used to in France. Internet [becoming] fully down happens now and then, at least multiple days a split.”

And this isn’t just an issue that has affected Spylce. In response to Duke’s original tweet, Schalke 04 top laner Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu said that his team “[doesn’t] have internet half the time” either. In the same thread, Misfits coach Hussain “Moose” Moosvi asked if the connection was through Vodafone, one of the dominant carriers in Berlin, before calling their service “fucking awful.”

Fnatic’s coaches expressed to Dot Esports that their scrims have also been affected by internet issues. Additionally, Schalke team manager Nicolas Farnir said that he had called his provider over 10 times in the last four months to resolve issues.

“It’s a big issue here in Berlin,” Farnir said. “We suddenly started getting constant DC’s, high ping, even entire days without internet. I know almost every single team—Splyce, Rogue, Misfits, us—has the same issue with this provider (Vodafone). The problem is known by them for months, but they are unable to solve it. To be honest, it is getting ridiculous and it’s not that easy to cancel a contract in Germany.”

Duke told Dot Esports that his team is moving gaming houses next year which he hopes will resolve their issues. But Berlin’s internet problems may go deeper than that.

The problem is infrastructure

Duke compared the situation to his home country of France, which he said sports faster speeds and more reliable connections. It’s strange that Berlin, a city with a strong tech presence, would face such struggles compared to other European cities which compete for talent and business.

According to an NPR report from earlier in 2019, the problem with Berlin is not the service providers, but the very lines that carry internet connections. The article highlights complaints from professionals from a variety of industries who are all hamstrung by the city’s low speeds and limited bandwidth. The issue doesn’t just affect League esports.

The problem is caused by old copper lines that still carry data, according to Claudio Engfeld of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce. Even cell phone connections are slow with 3G being the common speed.

“In Germany, you will find almost everywhere copper cable that’s not capable to go faster than 250 megabits per second,” she said. “The average reality is about 50 megabits per second. That’s quite poor.”

This compares to cities with faster fiber optic connections. Fiber provides speeds that are exponentially higher than those achievable by copper, and has much greater bandwidth as well, which allows it to carry signals from more sources. As more devices are connected to the internet, fiber is less likely than copper to be overwhelmed by the increased signal load.

But Germany’s former state telecom provider, Deutsche Telecom, declined to install fiber in Berlin, citing high costs. German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s cabinet has promised to help subsidize the rollout of fiber-optic broadband, but that won’t fully occur until 2025.

That’s good for the long-term future of the LEC, but it won’t help teams scrimming in Germany for Worlds 2019.

Faceless Void

BIO

4 Tips On How To Increase Your MMR

You love the game but losings got you down. You want to win but your teammates suck and the matchmaking system is unfair and broken. You want to level up your rank but the mandated 50% win schedule won’t allow it.

I used to feel the same way and the thought of becoming Ancient seemed impossible, let alone Divine. Then I got to Ancient but no way could I reach Divine. Then I reached Divine 1 last season, the highest MMR achievement I got in years.

In this article, I’m going to share with you tips on how to increase your MMR for fame, clout, and something to brag about.

Research what’s strong in your bracket

Some people believe drafting in Dota is at least 50% of the game. If you win the draft, chances are you’ll win the game. Of course, you still have to play well and execute in your game but with a favorable draft, playing well and executing is a lot easier.

Gain that competitive draft advantage by researching what heroes do well in your bracket.

By checking out the Dotabuff hero meta tab you can easily find out what’s strong in your bracket. For example, if you’re a Legend, you can see that Drow Ranger, Lycan, Visage, Clinkz, and Underlord have the highest win rates. You can go down the list to find some heroes you’re good at and try picking those heroes, you might have a good time.

To take that step further, you can look through each hero that does well in your bracket and find their counters. For example, if you look at Drow Ranger’s hero page, you can see that she does the worst against Mars, Sniper, Axe, Centaur Warrunner, and Broodmother. Then if you see your enemy pick Drow Ranger in your game you can counter them.

Play team fights better

Team fights are a crucial part of the game. One team fight win after losing five can be the start of an epic come back. One team fight loss can be the start of a tilt that doesn’t stop until you lose. Playing your role in an ideal way can be the difference between winning and losing a team fight.

To understand how to play your role properly let’s look at how the pro players play. One playstyle that seems to be a winning strategy is to counter initiate rather than initiate. You can see this strategy at work during the ESL One Hamburg 2019 finals.

TNC. kpii and his team won the tournament and his itemization prioritized tanky items. This allowed him to initiate or get initiated on and survive the initial burst. His team would then follow up while the enemy used all their spells.

This coincides with the rise of Abaddon as a position 3. Abaddon’s playstyle revolves around this strategy thanks to his ultimate ability. The enemy has to spend their fighting resources bringing him low only for him to become immune to damage once he’s low. After the enemy used all their spells and good position to bring him low, Abaddon’s team can jump in and use their spells to counter initiate.

Another important tip is positioning yourself if you’re a spell caster. If your role is to use spells in a fight then you don’t want to be initiated on. As a Rubick or Lion or Oracle, if you get caught then you get blown up and then you’re useless in the fight.

If you watch the pro players play spell-casting heroes, they’re usually out of sight in team fights. They don’t hang around where all the action is happening as they can get caught and blown up. They hang out outside where the action is happening and then wait until their spells are ready to use at an optimal time, and then they enter the fight.

So don’t hang around in the main fight, right-clicking and doing 50 damage and risk getting blown up. Stay positioned on the outskirts of the fight and only enter when your spells are ready. Ideally, wait until you have an optimal opening.

Play heroes you’re good at

This seems like an obvious tip but it’s relevant. The way I reached Divine was by playing my best heroes over and over again. This can get boring but if your goal is to reach a high MMR, then it can be your best strategy.

I was playing exclusively position 4 as Mirana, Lina, Riki, Clockwerk and rarely picked other heroes. By doing this I was able to maximize my impact in the game and influenced the outcome more than if I were feeding as a hero I wasn’t good at.

It’s frustrating to be on a team with someone who doesn’t know how to play their hero, especially in a ranked game. Don’t be this person, play your best heroes.

When you reach your highest MMR potential, you play in high-level games. In high-level games, the average player is more skilled, more capable, and has more game knowledge than in lower-tier games. As you play in these games, you are more likely to be outplayed and it’s through those moments of being outplayed you can really learn where your weaknesses are as a player. KawaiiSocks talks about this in an article he wrote about climbing the MMR leaderboards and what he learned after reaching Immortal.

Watch pro games, streams, and player perspectives

One of the main ways I leveled up my play style and Dota knowledge was by watching pro games, streams, and player perspectives.

These pro players are the best at the game and if you watch them play, chances are they play the game differently than you. A great thing about Dota is you can see exactly how a player like Liquid. Miracle – or BananaSlamJamma plays the game.

One thing I’ve noticed is how the pros play carry and support. Carry players spend a lot of time in the jungle. The carry’s job is to farm and get big, and farming in lane isn’t always the best idea. Dota 2 level 1 push on bushing When I watched pro carrys, they would farm the jungle every chance they got. I started farming the jungle as much as I could when I played carry and my GPM improved. Farming the jungle is safer than farming in lane and you want to spend as much time as possible killing creeps when you’re carrying.

For pro supports one thing I noticed was the way they participate in team fights. As touched on earlier, they aren’t in the middle of the action as its happening. They stay out of range of the fight until their spells are ready or there is a great opening for their spell. For example, as an Earthshaker, they don’t jump in the fight and start right-clicking even though he’s a melee hero. They wait until the enemy groups up on one of their teammates and when they’re all lined up they use Fissure to stun multiple enemies, save their teammate, counter initiate, and stop the gank all at once.

It can be tempting to jump in the fight as its happening but as a support spell-caster, it’s important to exercise patience. You’re no use in a fight if you die or get blown up so wait until there’s a good opening and then strike.

To read more about support tips, check out these articles: Dissecting the Meta: Supports in 7.21, Supporting in 7.20 or visit this page to see all the support related articles.

Final thoughts

All in all, it comes down to practice and game knowledge if you want to improve your MMR. You gain knowledge by watching pro players and watching tournaments and listening to analysts. You gain practice simply by playing more and trying out different heroes and strategies.

Research and meta-knowledge are also important. If you’re only playing a hero that is extremely low in win rate percentage you can stop the losses by simply picking another hero. By researching what heroes are strong and what their counters are can help you win games by out drafting your enemy.

And remember, your MMR is not a reflection of your worth as a player. How much you enjoy the game is the most important statistic so enjoy it! Keep a positive mental attitude and use the mute function if your teammates are being toxic.

GAMERS DECIDE

New Season New Teams

The Dota 2 Pro scene is forever a changing landscape and now that the post-TI lineup changes have concluded, and the teams have had their chance to play in a full Major and the Qualifier for another, it is time to speculate on which teams could be the top of the new season.

10. TNC Predator

TNC Predator tied with PSG. LGD at the Kuala Lumpur Major, and finished in 2nd place for the Southeast Asia Qualifier for Chongqing behind Fnatic. Their Chongqing Qualifier performance, however, could’ve been negatively impacted by a Valve mandated banning of Kuku from the tournament and losing a Captain is no minor inconvenience. Clearly they have the skill and teamwork to Qualify for the Major, but as their down a Captain in Kuku it will be hard to judge their true potential regardless of their Chongqing standings – but a full powered TNC Predator could be a force.

Playing for TNC Predator:

9. NIP

Ninjas in Pyjamas, can never get over that name, finished 4th place in the Kuala Lumpur Major and holds the 4th most DPC points for this year. The team is only 3 months old and already had a high standing in a Major – clearly the talent is present, but will they have the teamwork to last the entire year?

8. VG

VG tied with Fnatic at the Kuala Lumpur Major and had a solid showing in last year’s Circuit. The team has had a 3 player roster change of picking up Yang, Fade, and Dy dropping eLeVeN, LaNm, and Fenrir. VG is set to play in DPL Season 6 and if their performance picks up then they could be a promising team to follow into the year.

7. Forward Gaming

Time to get into the grey areas, Forward have finished 2nd place in two Major Qualifiers but have overcome their problems with EG, losing 0-2 in Kuala Qualifier and 1-2 in the Kuala Major only to turn around with a 2-0 in the Chongqing Qualifier. This rising team shows great potential for the upcoming season and the Chongqing Major will be a testing ground for them to hopefully triumph upon.

6. Fnatic

The 4th place TI finishers have changed their roster and still finished 2nd in the PVP Esports Championship, ahead of PSG. LGD but losing 2-3 to Secret. Clearly the potential of this team can be seen.

5. EG

3rd place Kuala Lumpur finishers and 3rd place 2018-2019 DPC standing team EG shows no roster changes and no chance of slowing down.

4. Liquid

Team Liquid proved they still have what it takes during the Chongqing Major Qualifiers by completely clowning around in style and still making 2nd. These previous TI winners show they still got it and half of Dota is actually enjoying the game and this team surely does.

Same as ever, Liquid’s players are:

3. PSG. LGD

The 2nd place team out of TI, PSG. LGD showed great consistency last year. This team roster has been together since January 2018 and their 3rd place DPC ranking last year feels very earned, making up for their Kuala Lumpur performance. For all we know PSG. LGD will have their shot at TI again this year.

The players on PSG. LGD are:

2. Secret

Secret finished in 4th place for the DPC rankings last year and suffered during the TI event. They have since dropped Ace and Fata for Nisha and Zai and finished 2nd place in the Kuala Lumpur Major. Their early strength for the new Circuit has been further shown in the Chongqing Major finishing 1st in their Qualifier over Liquid – however, Liquid may have not been trying as hard as expected.

Secret’s roster consists of:

1. Virtus Pro

VP have been a powerhouse since last year’s circuit and continue to show a strong dominance early in 2019. VP are currently leading the DPC charts for this year which shows major stability for this team as they also finished last year with the highest DPC. VP took 1st place in the Kuala Lumpur Major, continuing their trend of early Major dominance. With the stability this team shows maybe this year will be their Aegis.

How to check your skill bracket dota 2

Where can I check which difficulty bracket I’m in?

Supposedly DOTA 2 matchmaking is divided into brackets.

I want to know which difficulty bracket I’m in. How can I find this information?

8 Answers 8

The best way to currently check your difficulty bracket:

  1. Run Dota2 and open watch tab
  2. Select Recent games
  3. Press Filter button
  4. Write your nickname
  5. Select skill level (low, mid or high)

This way you can see which of your recent games have been in low, mid or high skill bracket.

Keep in mind that the high bracket still varies in skill greatly, so that might not be a a very accurate indication of your current ladder standing.

Valve has integrated a ranking system now

You can see your ranking after 1 match played in those categories (solo/team).

Getting the information: (This no longer works)

After you have played 1 match you can open the ingame console and type the following:

The console will give you all your profile information including:

Furthermore there is information how stable your ranking is:

Those get lower the more matches you play. It increases the accuracy of the rank.

Comparing:

How to read: 95% means that you are better/have a better ranking then 95% of all other players. Basically it tells you that you are in the top 5% of all players.

However, this table is based on normal matchmaking for now. Valve expects that this table will adjust with more data from ranking match (thx for pointing that out decency)

To check your current “ranking” you must first enable the console (which you should either know how to do or know how to google). Then then launch game, open console and type these commands

i think that’s the proper way to check your MMR atm. dont forget to disable developer after you check it, since the developer mode will make u see red text in-game

However, this has been patched out, apparently. Therefore it’s no longer possible. 😦

Rank = mmr If you picked veteran, you start at 3000 MMR. It seems if you picked something else you start lower. Rank uncertainty = some kind of K factor used in determining your new MMR’s after games.

Dota 2 uses an MMR(Matchmaking Rating) system to match players. Each player is assigned a number to represent their skill level and players are matched to people with similar MMRs. While these were previously grouped into brackets for spectating, there are any real brackets in Dota 2.

Normally, your MMR is hidden, but in December 2013, Valve added a ranked mode. After reaching level 13, you can play Ranked Mode to get a separate, visible MMR after 10 calibration games. You can then view this MMR on your profile:

Currently, the average MMR is about 2250, with pro players around 5000, but this is likely to change somewhat.

You can’t. Valve is iteratively taking out all of the possible ways people have used in the past to judge a person’s skill. Currently I’m not aware of any ways and if there are any new ways discovered they will presumably be quickly removed, just as those in the past have been.

If and when Valve decides to add a public skill ranking system, you’ll know.

It’s been removed to stop people being elitist over their “skill” level.

I think the only way to do it now is is through the Dota2 Web Api, you’ll need some programming skills to do it.

You can also look at www. Pubstats. me – this will show you your % of games above the normal bracket, but you’ll not be able to see the bracket of individual games.

go to dota buff then go click on the website then sign in through steam. after that it will show you the win rate you have plus your matchmaking so then you can know what is your matchmaking rating.

Go to DOTABUFF and type in your nickname, you will see your skill bracket under recent games info.

Introduction

Since ancient times it has been prophesized by the Tauren elders that a Chieftain will come, strong as the mightiest warriors and wise as the eldest shamans. After many years of wandering the sacred lands, seeking wisdom from his forefathers, Cairne Bloodhoof has proven himself as the long awaited hero. Cairne carries with him the spirit of his mightiest ancestor, and now the ground shakes with the combined strength of the Chieftain and his guardian spirit. No physical nor magical barrier can reduce the power of his enchanted halberd, the weapon used by his guardian in ancient times. Such is the power of this axe that it can split the very earth itself. Seeking revenge for the ravaging of his homeland, Cairne will soon bring his wrath upon the Scourge

Elder Titan is a hero who brings presence to team fights. He can fill a variety of roles, but his talent lies in initiating and team fighting. The Worldsmith revels in teaming up with heavy hitters and crowd controllers. His flexible playstyle and independance of items makes him a fearsome opponent that is hard to put down.

Brief Build Reasoning

Reason: This is a guide which I have discovered from my own experience playing as Elder Titan, I knew this hero had a lot more potential hidden behind the regular semi-carry / Support-Initiator builds I see all the time.

The items I have shown are for maximum damage output. This is achieved by the build giving you early game speed boost ( Mask of Madness with Armlet of Mordiggian ) and abilities focusing on damage output. (Maxing Ancestral Spirit / Natural Order early-game)

Your Urn of Shadows will help you stay full hit points so you do not need to waste time teleporting back and forth from base and also to use as damage over time in early-game to get any faster opponent running away. You run speed should not be a weakness for you with Mask of Madness and Ancestral Spirit aiding it most if not in all fights.

Once you approach m >Skullbasher to keep your foes at your feet. You could build Crystalis for extremely high critical damage when mixed with Ancestral Spirit. It’s all a mater of what you would prefer to use, Elder Titan has extremely strong physical damage as well as nice magical damage when using this build type.

Going into late game I would say you need to experiment, chose an item from my luxury list and build towards it. Some if not most will work for you but others will work best against certain heroes. (Choose Wisely)

Go now hero and unleash the secret wrath of Elder Titan! 1 Shot-Honcho!

Runes

Illusion: NO Unless no one else is nearby.

Double Damage: ALWAYS With Double Damage you can kill the opponent with the slightest of ease and boosted with Ancestral Spirit no one will be able to go toe to toe with you.

Haste: SITUATIONAL , allows for you to get into position.

Top 10 most expensive Dota items on the market – September 2018

The top 10 most expensive Dota 2 items available on the Steam market. I explored the market to find out the skins sold fairly at a high price during September 2018.

In the market there are thousands of items sold at an inaccurate cost, often in an attempt to scam the buyers. To give credibility to this list, I included only the items that have been already traded in the past and the recent average price range.

Unusual Golden Baby Roshan

Item currently not available. From the April 2018 list.

Average price: $1,800

Last sold on January 31 for $1,800

An immortal courier awarded to players that made it in the Sugar Rush Hall of Fame during Diretide 2012.

It utilizes the same model of the standard Baby Roshan courier – listed for $2-3 – but has golden textures and effects.

In the game, there are Baby Roshans available with different effects, and they are all very expensive: Platinum, Ice, Lava, Dark Moon, Desert Sand, and Jade.

Legacy Enduring War Dog

Average price: around $1,000 – very variable cost depending on the effect

Last sold on August 6 for $806

A Mythical courier, originally released on May 31, 2012. Legacy couriers are old but expensive couriers which were given an unique random color and a Prismatic: Legacy gem.

Platinum Baby Roshan

Average price: $1,700

Last sold on September 10 for $1,725

An immortal courier awarded to players that made it in the Sugar Rush Hall of Fame during Diretide 2013.

It utilizes the same model of the standard Baby Roshan courier – listed for $2-3 – but has platinum textures and effects.

The color of the textures isn’t the only distinction among the various Baby Roshans, but also the gems are different.

For example, the Golden Roshan has Ethereal: Touch of Midas and Prismatic: Midas Gold, the Platinum one has Ethereal: Ionic Vapor and Prismatic: Pristine Platinum. They create custom effects and change the color of the particles.

Genuine Axe of Phractos

Average price: $1,500

Last sold on August 10 for $1,380

A mythical weapon for Axe obtained in genuine quality by buying the Axe figurine from the WETA workshop. It is no longer available.

Later on, Valve included this item in the Trust of the Benefactor 2016 treasure as an ultra rare drop. Three copies of the treasure were given to all players with The International 2017 Battle Pass. Only 25 copies of this item could be unboxed worldwide.

Genuine Monarch Bow
