Wyvernguard axe dota 2

Axe.
Duel .

How to choose the best mouse for Dota 2?

When choosing a mouse for Dota 2, you need to consider a few things. First of all, you should choose a wired gaming mouse for the best responsiveness. There are some nice wireless gaming mice out there but they are a bit expensive. So my advice, you should pick a wired one. If you hate wires, you can use a mouse bungee to prevent cord problems.

Another thing you need to pay attention is DPI which is the indicator of mouse speed and precision. When playing Dota 2, using a high DPI mouse will improve the responsiveness of your movements. You don’t need to go higher than 5.000 – 6.000 for Dota 2 but if you will play FPS games too, you should buy a mouse with higher DPI numbers.

Programmable buttons are the best way to bind your hero’s skills or item slots for fast access in Dota 2. In my opinion, 3-4 extra buttons will be enough for Dota 2. If you play MMO games too, i recommend to pick a mouse with lots of extra buttons.

If you are a hardcore gamer, you know how your hand feels after hours of gaming. Because of that, your new gaming mouse should have an ergonomic design. You should read user reviews before buying a mouse to learn if it will feel comfortable in your hand. * Money. A lot of people have brought up the issue of money, saying that Chinese players get a larger amount of money playing public games with/for their fans, than they do practicing for professional tournaments. I’d believe this, but for the fact that Chinese players don’t actually play a lot of public games, and only a few of them get large audiences when they play. In fact, the Chinese players who do this best are players not on professional teams, such as YYF, so it doesn’t explain why players would choose to be on professional teams in the first place, unless what they were after is a break out, which would require them to actually have results. Further, were they after that, then they’d surely understand the value of being at the top of the MMR list: http://www. dota2.com/leaderboards/#china. Dota 2 shanghai major tournaments in pga Yet we don’t see them at the top of this list. Instead we see Koreans and people who don’t play on professional teams.

* They’re always slow at adapting to game changes. The last big change to the game was over three months ago. You cannot argue that the Chinese are so slow at adapting to the changes that they still don’t know how to play the game three months later. The top strategies and heroes changing among top professional teams does not equate to the game itself changing and it’s not though the years during which the Chinese were successful saw no changes to the top strategies and heroes. No, it’s just that in 2014, the Chinese teams were actually motivated because they weren’t full of players who’ve played the game for so long that they’ve lost all desire to play, and their management wasn’t as bad as it has become today. The details we don’t know, but I’m pretty sure that back then, they actually had standards for themselves, and that’s why they were able to win.

After that I would definitely be rooting for MVP and Liquid to make it to the finals.

or they’re too busy playing LoL and HOTS

seriously valve needs to whip PW into shape and step up their game, at this rate HOTS is going to over take dota2 in China in no time

valve is way too hands-off and it is stagnating dota2 as a whole. People in general wants new heroes being released periodically, hence why LoL is so popular. Riot releases 2-3 new champs in the time it takes Valve to port 1 old hero from dota1.

I don’t know if Icefrog is working on new heroes or not but if we’re stuck with these heroes, dota2 won’t grow, will stagnate, and die off.

Best Support Heroes in Dota 2

Yet another episode of Dota 2 heroes by Kill Ping gives you insight for some of the best support heroes in the current META. Previously after covering the most neglected heroes in Dota 2 now we are covering the most picked supports that are seen very commonly in competitive matches. This in any sense does not mean that they are only limited to the current META. The heroes selected are only chosen based over their versatility and in game effectiveness that they provide to the team and carry. This means that even with patch updates the heroes would still have a great impact over a game regardless of any changes unless a particular Dota 2 hero gets completely nerfed.

Anyways, let’s hope that support players don’t see that day when their favorite Dota 2 hero gets nerfed for no good reason and without any delay we bring you the best Dota 2 support heroes of all time.

Chen

Chen is a jungling support who is one of the heroes who does not heavily rely over items to create emphasis in game. His potential can be seen from the very start of the game when Chen converts a neutral creep and goes first blood over the enemy who’s unaware of Chen’s capabilities.

Overall Chen is a very good support hero that can heal the entire team in difficult situations and if you go for Mekansm as Chen you will have your teammates at full HP in no time. Chen at the same time can be a good initiator with his converted creeps. Chen’s versatility comes from his abilities in which he also provides a decent amount of damage to the enemy with Test of Faith and gives damage amplification through Penitence. However, Chen needs times to master as controlling Chen and his max 4 converted creeps along with their powers is somewhat difficult. Even so, Chen is one of the most picked support heroes even with patch updates and changes. A hero that keeps everyone happy with his abilities Chen is a must play hero and is recommended to be mastered by all support heroes.

Dazzle

Another support Dota 2 hero that is good in lane pushing, healing, damage amplification and literally calling a hero back from the grave. With Shallow grave effect over a dying carry you can turn tides of the match with him having 5 more seconds of physical, magical invulnerability. Dazzle provides both passive and aggressive support game play and allows the carry of the team to be a more ease when farming. Dazzle with his abilities just does not allow a teammate to die. He is an easy to master hero with just timing a main factor when casting shallow grave. Dazzle’s ultimate can create huge impact in team fights being used both in aggressive and defensive manners.

Overall a very versatile hero that does not rely heavily over items, Dazzle is in the list of top support heroes that helps greatly in team fights and supporting the carry.

Disruptor

Heavy spamming abilities make disruptor and tough job for the opponent to handle. His ultimate provides him with an AOE silence and burst damage that is effective when the enemy heroes have crucial spells. Imagine a team fight broke at the mid lane and the enemy team’s tide is just ready to ravage the crap out of your team, suddenly you/ Disruptor come out of nowhere and cast your ultimate in the middle of the fight. Result? The enemy team with their crucial heroes stuck in your ultimate and kinetic field combo doing next to nothing being silenced and taking huge damage with 0.25 sec intervals.

Disruptor’s Glimpse can be a game changer if used at the correct moment by targeting on a flanking carry or a hero who bought back and teleported to be in a fight. This spell is all about timing and if you cast it at the right time you may even be the man of the match

Earthshaker

Earth Shaker is one of those Dota 2 heroes that have huge impact over the game even at level one. Proper positioning of earth shaker allows him to get early kills with the help of spamming abilities or just right click damage of another hero. With earth shaker on the side the enemy mid hero has constant pressure of ganking and has to position himself in such a manner that he is away safe from potential ganks. With a proper positioned fissure ES can just disjoint the enemy hero from his lane making him unable to fall and face ultimate death. Support players can utilizing the roaming abilities of ES to position themselves for ganks and have fissure at the right moment can seal a kill easily for the team.

ES is also a good pick since he is able to provide chain stuns with constant spamming of his abilities and is not item dependant except for just a Blink Dagger to have good initiation and damage through his ultimate. Overall mana pool is low and since fissure is mostly a spamming ability so support players may opt for a soul ring or arcane boots depending on the situation.

Lion

Lion is literally a pain in the ass. Being able to harass enemy teams from the start Lion is a Dota 2 hero that can be a baby sitter for the team carry and at the same time harass the hell out of a lane. Lion also being an item independent hero has good disables and heavy burst damage. His spell Mana Drain is at many times neglected by players but it’s not a spell that has to be neglected.

Mana drain can dehydrate core enemy players that don’t have much mana pool making them ineffective in team fights and also providing lion with extra mana that he needs to spam his abilities and his high mana cost ultimate.

Lion can create nuisance in almost any lane and his abilities allow him to be a roaming support which can duo with another support and create deadly roaming combinations in almost any lane they tend to. Being item independent Lion in many ways have great impact on the overall game and at times can solely burst down enemy heroes with proper timing.

Tell us what you think with the list of the top support Dota 2 Heroes. Also tell what you would like to read next for your favorite MOBA game.

When To Get Aghanim’s Scepter On Carries

Aghanim’s Scepter is a peculiar item. It currently improves abilities or ultimates of 96 out of 115 heroes, however it is rarely picked up by anyone but the intelligence cores or utility offlaners. For most supports it is out of reach in terms of gold until the very late game and for most carries there are simply better alternatives which provide specific attributes or necessary answers to enemy items.

While the item has a decent stats-to-cost ratio, they are spread out equally across all three attributes, making Aghanim’s very suboptimal in terms of increasing you right-click DPS or survivability. Yet there are situations where this item on your right-clicking core might be the best solution to what the enemy has and this blog will be dedicated to highlighting and explaining potentially game-winning situational Aghanim’s upgrades for your carries.

Luna is often thought of as a strong position one carry with a great flash-farming ability that is coupled with insane movement speed, which allows her to accelerate her farm, take ancients early and potentially snowball out of control, while the enemy team is playing catch-up. She has a strong lane presence, high teamfight potential from level seven onwards, good wave and tower pushing abilities and it is understandable how she is currently one of the most popular and successful heroes in the game, with 13% pick rate and almost 53% win rate across all skill brackets.

Aghanim’s Scepter on such a hero really seems redundant—it doesn’t solve her survivability problems, offers very situational DPS that is easily countered with a BKB and generally feels like a wasted item slot. 7.07 addressed these issues with two rather strong talents: +100 Lucent Beam damage on level 20 along with a level 25 Eclipse 0.25s ministun and it jumped the Aghanim’s upgrade for the hero from “situationally mediocre” to “situationally good”.

Latest meta developments have shown that professional teams often prefer to have two flexible heroes on mid and safelane positions, who can be interchangeable in terms of who actually gets farm priority and ultimately carries the game. Luna might have a bad carry matchup developed during the draft, she might be picked for her early game tempo or she can be shut down during the laning stage. In this scenario her strengths of a flash-farming hard carry can be severely mitigated, but Aghanim’s can be a way for her to have a big impact on the game regardless.

A 400 damage long-range nuke and a very strong ultimate can make her a threat without her having to engage in the fight and frontline for her team. It can wipe out supports, force the enemy cores away and add the extra necessary damage to a frontlining ally. Late game Dota is frequently about a single good fight and even with an Aghanim’s build Luna will still be excellent at taking objectives, if she gets to them and is uninterrupted. Aghanim’s can give you this necessary fight, while Refresher Shard can allow her to counter the enemy buybacks as well. It is also an amazing counter to heroes who sit on their highground and stall the game, like Tinker or Sniper, especially when coupled with a high mobility core ally.

Medusa

The latest patch has nerfed Medusa, but she still remains one of the strongest carries of the meta and essentially tells the enemy team they either have to win in 40 minutes or less, or they will have a very bad game. The effect is two-fold: the enemy can be often forced into making mistakes from the pressure alone, but can’t afford not to take risks in trying to shut Medusa down. However, despite her apparent strengths, the hero is not unbeatable—she might be approaching 57% win rate in 5k+ games, but there are heroes who are definitely good matchups against her even in the late game.

Get manaburn is essentially what Medusa-countering strategy boils down to. Weaver, Anti-Mage and Mirana have natural manaburn talents and often back it up with extra Manta Style, while many illusions heroes go for Diffusal Blade. This is when Medusa’s Aghanim’s Scepter can start doing a lot of work, since Mystic Snake becomes a one-host ability against illusions.

It rarely is a good pick up against “low value” illusions of Phantom Lancer, where it is almost always better to go for a BKB+Mjolnir combo, but against Chaos Knight or even an Anti-Mage, it can ensure a quick wipe of the mana burning targets, which can potentially save an ally or Medusa herself.

It also has an added benefit or a downside of “petrified” status effect, which increases physical damage on the enemy, but completely shields them from magic one, so use the upgraded Mystic Snake with caution.

Drow Ranger

Drow Ranger in the professional scene is often picked as a safelane position two or even three, in terms of farm priority. Her main goal is not necessarily to deal damage herself, but rather enable her team in the fights and then start taking down buildings, while fully concentrating on her own safety. She works well with heroes like Puck, Storm Spirit, Queen of Pain etc., who can completely take over the map by midgame with a little help from their teammates.

Drow’s job in this scenario is to get very farmed and not to die, so that the lanes are always pushed in and there is a lot of space on the map for her other cores to farm. Aghanim’s Scepter is a great transitory item in this regard, since it substantially increases her survivability, while increasing her farm and wave-clear speeds, so that she can get to her Agility items much faster.

It is still a stalling item, for when a Drow strat goes wrong and early game doesn’t look too good for your team, and you don’t think you will be able to close the game early. Most of the time, with a good start, you can push directly into more proactive itemization.

It is also a great anti-illusion item, especially coupled with Mjolnir. Drow has certain vulnerabilities against multiple in-her-face targets, so it can be a very natural progression even when she is a position one carry against certain heroes.

Shadow Fiend

Magic Damage Shadow Fiend is becoming more and more viable—the changes to the Shadowraze significantly increased their potential, while the reworked talent tree really pushes player to explore this possibility. But is Aghanim’s Scepter a natural progression for a full on magic damage SF by Arteezy or is it in fact better suited for a hybrid or even regular right-clicking Shadow Fiend?

There is an argument in favor of the latter—Shadow Fiend’s level 25 talents are either 40% cooldown reduction or +3 damage per Necromastery stack. And the Aghanim’s Scepter increases your maximum soul count by 10. This has a two-fold effect, increasing the effectiveness of the ultimate as well as increasing the right-click damage of the hero by at least 20. As such, it is actually a very decent value proposition for this hero, since the stats-to-cost ratio is not only decent, but a lot more focused.

So to get a full effect from Aghanim’s Scepter, SF wants to go for the +3 Necromastery damage talent, forgoing the 40% cooldown reduction of Magic Damage SF. Does the hero really want it in general or what situations it can be good in is up for debate still, since the vast majority of high level players still generally prefer 40% cooldown reduction talent for their Black King Bars, Manta Styles, Hurricane Pikes, Shiva’s Guards and many more active items.

Meet The 4 M’sians Now Competing In The Biggest Dota 2 Tourney With RM100 Mil Up For Grabs

Justin Lee
  • The International 2018 is currently ongoing now until August 25, with a prize pool of over RM100 million.
  • This year there will be 4 Malaysians in 3 different teams, including the legendary Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung who will be leading the Southeast Asian favourites, Mineski.

The International 2018 or TI8 has begun. An annual Dota 2 e-sports championship tournament, hosted by Valve Corporation—the game’s developer—TI8 followed a year-long series of tournaments awarding qualifying points, known as the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), with the top eight ranking teams being directly invited to the tournament.

In addition, ten more teams earned invites through qualifiers that were held in June 2018, with the main event being played at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver right now.

As with every International, the prize pool was crowdfunded by the Dota 2 community via its battle pass feature, with the total being over US$24 million. It currently has a total prize pool $24,791,176 (as of writing), which has surpassed the previous year’s prize pool, making it the biggest prize pool for an e-sports tournament.

To get a sense of the scale, even the team in last place walks away with US$61,982 (around RM254,312).

There is still less than a week to go before the crowdfunding for TI8 ends, so the pool will most likely hit $25 million (RM102 million).

Malaysia has been present since the first Internationals and we are the second most represented country in total for all Internationals, sitting at 55 players (even narrowly beating USA). Malaysia boleh!

This year we have a total of 4 players in 3 different teams, and here’s a quick introduction to all of them.

Kam “Moon” Boon Seng

Kam “Moon” Boon Seng, previously known as NaNa, is the mid lane player for Mineski. He began his journey in Dota a few years ago as a little-known player in the Invasion e-sports roster. His first major LAN event was the 2015 Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament in his own homeground, Kuala Lumpur where they finished fifth in the tournament.

Things started to pick up for the 22-year-old when WarriorsGaming. Unity (WG. Unity) was founded. Moon created waves in the scene and made a name for himself as one of the most stable mid laners of the region. WG. Unity peaked at the 2016 Boston Majors, finishing in the shared fifth placing.

Since 2017, he has now joined Mineski, one of Southeast Asia’s top teams, partnering up with Malaysia’s Dota 2 legend, Mushi. Together they form a deadly team that has overcame every challenge thrown against them and will be one of the teams to look out for this tournament.

Jian Wei “xNova” Yap

Jian Wei “xNova” Yap has been seeing some spotlight in the recent days, especially after having assisted the Chinese region to secure their first Major of the 2017/2018 Dota Pro Circuit season.

He was already playing in local tournaments at a young age of 16 but in September 2016 his big break came when he joined WarriorsGaming. Unity. Teaming up with the likes of Jay Son “ahjit” Lai, Moon (mentioned earlier) and Soon Chuan “ahfu” Tue, the team took Southeast Asia by storm, finishing in podium places in multiple tournaments.

At the beginning of this year, he flew to China to join the LGD Dota 2 unit where xNova truly shone. He won multiple podium finishes under the LGD banner and was within arms reach of several Major championships but failed to go past the final hurdle. However, all the hard work finally paid off when the team claimed victory at EPICENTER XL, becoming the first Chinese team to win a Major.

Yeik “M > Image Credit: Redbull

Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng learned Dota from his brother and he kept on playing against him and his cousins in 1v1 matches. Despite losing, he had a competitive mindset and wanted to improve and beat professional players.

When he was 13, he joined a tournament and came second place and a few years later he joined small tournaments around Malaysia to further obtain knowledge and experience as a Dota 2 player.

After gaining a reputation in the local Dota scene, he received an offer from the manager of Fnatic (one of the top Dota teams at that time). After a number of negotiations he decided to seize the opportunity and join Fnatic. On April 29, 2016, he became the first player to hit 8000 MMR on the Southeast Asia servers.

Dictionary Time: MMR (Matchmaking Rating) is a value that shows the skill level of a player. MMR is used in ranked matchmaking to find similarly skilled players. Winning a match can increase your MMR, losing will decrease it. Players earn seasonal medals based on their MMR and each season will last for 6 months until everything is reset.

After coming within grasp of winning The International 2016, his nine month stint at Fnatic came to an end when he joined Team Secret on August 2016.

Over the past year and a half, MidOne has won multiple tournaments with Team Secret, such as the FACEIT Invitational and ROG Masters, made it to the final of the ESL One Hamburg Major and has developed into one of the most feared mid laners in the world.

Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung

Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung is one of Malaysia’s most well-known professional Dota 2 players, currently playing for Mineski. He most famously played for Team DK and for Orange as solo mid or carry, depending on which heroes the team picked.

During The International 2013, his team was close to reaching to the finals until they lost to Natus Vincere, finishing at 3rd place. Mushi moved on from Orange e-sports to join Team DK during the post International 2013 roster shuffling.

After a year and no success with one of the strongest Chinese teams, Mushi moved back to Malaysia and created Team Malaysia with a full Malaysian team.

Team Malaysia went on a large winning streak, winning 16 games in a row and qualifying for many premium tournaments as well as earning them Southeast Asia’s only direct invite to The International 2015. Due to their good run, they were later picked up by Fnatic. After a short stint with Fnatic, he is now in Mineski with a Southeast Asian team and is looking to finally make it big this year.

League of Legends: LCS Summer Finals Recap | Team Liquid Vs. Cloud 9

Game One

Team Liquid (“TL”) started off the series with a crushing victory. The game began with a massive play in the river. Xmithie caught out a flash-less Svenskeren for a 3v3 fight where TL got two unanswered kills. Soon after, Doublelift and CoreJJ found a 2v2 outplay and picked up another kill. Despite Cloud9 (“C9”) keeping up their aggressive mid-jungle 2v2, TL neutralized their aggression with deep jungle ward and capitalized with a Cloud Drake. Both teams converged on the mid lane with C9 going up 3 for 2, but TL answered with the first turret in the bot lane.

TL kept their stranglehold on the map, taking the Rift Herald, the Infernal Drake, and the top tower without any kills, but C9 managed to find an opening. As TL went in for the mid tower, C9 picked off two to the side. Both sides continued to fight with TL picking up three while C9 picked up two and the Infernal Drake in return. CoreJJ engaged on Svenskeren, but Zeyzal’s Dark Passage kept him safe and allowed C9 to get a kill. As the game appeared to slow down, TL found a huge engage in the mid lane and took three and the Baron for free. It wasn’t long until they closed the game, taking all three inhibitors and finishing with a 2-1 team fight.

  • Time: 29:52
  • Kills: 13-9
  • Turrets: 11-0
  • Gold: 59.4k-47.0k
  • Dragons: 3-1
  • Barons: 1-0

Game Two

C9 struck back and kept the series even. They refused to let TL make the first play and made an early gank bot for first blood. Svenskeren then found a countergank for a kill on Xmithie. They continued to crush TL and made a tower dive bot for a four for two play. TL fought back and got a two for one in a 3v3 bot lane. C9 kept the tempo however and took the Mountain Drake and two more kills. They proceeded to take the Rift Herald, the first two towers top side and another fight resulting in 2-1

Nisqy found a solo kill onto Jensen soon after. Through several more picks and skirmishes, C9 broke the base without the Baron. They found a team fight in the enemy jungle that resulted in a four for one and took the Baron. Just when all look lost, TL found a team fight that resulted in a three for three. They found a 4-3 miracle fight and continued to stall out the game. Despite the attempts by TL, C9 forced the Baron and took the game with a finishing 5-1 fight.

  • Time: 29:05
  • Kills: 30-16
  • Turrets: 9-1
  • Gold: 63.9k-49.9k
  • Dragons: 3-1
  • Barons: 2-0

Game Three

C9 continued to take the game to the current champions. Jensen found a solo kill onto Nisqy for first blood, but Svenskeren showed up to keep it even. Both teams fought to keep the game even with an extended one for one occurring the bot lane. With one team finally taking an advantage, TL countered a fight started by C9 for a 3-1 fight advantage. C9 shot back with a four for two and the Mountain Drake. TL committed to the Rift Herald and took it, but C9 found an opening and engaged for three free kills.

Making the situation direr, C9 countered a TL engage for another unanswered kill and then did it again for a 2-1 trade. C9 kept a solid grasp on the game by picking Doublelift in the top lane. C9 finally took the mid tower soon after without contest. Both teams traded a tower. After a period without any action, C9 found a massive engage for three kills and the Baron. TL picked off Zeyzal, but C9 kept moving forward and took a kill with the bot lane inhibitor. C9 refused to leave the base and kept fighting until they closed the game with a final three for one team fight.

  • Time: 25:25
  • Kills: 10-22
  • Turrets: 3-8
  • Gold: 41.6k-52.4k
  • Dragons: 0-3
  • Barons: 0-1

Game Four

TL kept the hope alive and took the series to a game five. The game started in explosive fashion, with Licorice diving the top turret for a solo kill outplay on Impact. C9 returned to the top with Svenskeren and got another kill. TL and C9 traded the Rift Herald for the Mountain Drake. Soon after C9 got the top tower with the Herald, but TL managed to barely get a return kill on Licorice with a three-man dive in the bot. C9 went for a dive bot lane, but the extended play resulted in an even one for one trade.

TL took a hold on the game with a following 3-1 trade. C9 kept TL from capitalizing by trading junglers. C9 picked Xmithie again and gained 3 kills after baiting the Baron. Then C9 set a trap for the dragon, but TL caught on and changed the pace of the game with four free kills and the Baron buff. TL broke through the bot lane inhibitor with two quick kills. They finally managed to close out the game with a final one for three-team fight.

  • Time: 33:01
  • Kills: 10-15
  • Turrets: 2-9
  • Gold: 52.4k-60.3k
  • Dragons: 0-4
  • Barons: 0-1

Game Five

TL finished the series with the most dominating performance of the series. First blood came from a TL countergank in the bot lane. Jensen made a huge outplay in the mid lane and got a kill by taking advantage of Akali’s ultimate in a 2v1 fight. TL used these early advantages to take the pivotal early Ocean Drake. Svenskeren saw an opportunity in the bot lane, but TL collapsed first and picked up another unanswered call. TL continued their dominance of the game and took another dragon and the Rift Herald. The game began to stall out, but TL struck in the mid lane, picking up two more free kills and the first tower.

C9 found their first kill in the top lane, but Jensen wouldn’t let them take an advantage. He came in with an amazing play and made sure C9 lost out in the fight with the total coming out to four for two in TL’s favor. TL didn’t let up and picked Licorice in a bot lane dive, pushing the advantage for the bot lane inhibitor tower. C9 attempted to pick Xmithie, but TL refused to give anything up for free and picked up a return kill. TL started the Baron, but C9 contested and managed to push them off, despite taking massive losses in a 4-1 team fight. CoreJJ found a pick in the mid lane, resulting in a Baron bait that won TL 5 kills for nothing. TL finally closed out the game with another full team sweep without losing a player.

  • Time: 30:54
  • Kills: 24-4
  • Turrets: 11-1
  • Gold: 62.1k-46.3k
  • Dragons: 4-0
  • Barons: 1-0

Introduction

Mortred in my opinion is in the top 3 best gankers in Dota. Mordred item guide play dota 2 He is easy to play with just 2 button skills (Q and W), has an escape blink, passive evasion and radar stealth. This gu >

Pros/Cons

+Insane DPS
+Very long range harassment
+Escape mechanism
+Best chaser in Dota
+Easy to master (just 2 skills with buttons)
+Very low mana cost for skills

-Squishy
-Mediocre Stat gain
-Enemies focus on you 1st during team battles

Early game

At the start you buy a tango , a stout shield and a quelling blade in order to become effective in last hitting and avoid getting ganked. You can chose any lane but prefer one with a melee partner like Ursa, Riki or any other strong DPS hero. The reason is that at level 3 you will start getting very aggressive in the lane.

Before hitting level 3 DO NOT USE any skills as you do not want to drain your mana. Mordred item guide play dota 2

You need to buy Poor Man’s shield first before boots boots since it will help you kill the creeps and avoid using the tangos too often. Buy boots after poor man’s shield because you have blink to chase or initiate an attack.

Don’t forget that you can use dagger to last hit creeps. This is very useful in case your lane opponents are more skilled than you and they have long range. You can just hug the tower and throw daggers to last hit creeps.

As soon as you hit level 3 and get 2nd level dagger, you will start harassing the enemy hero with the lowest HP. If you see a chance you could even try killing him. At worst case he will retreat having very few HP. When you get your 3rd level dagger you will have to spam it on your enemies since it has a very low mana cost.

Next item is the ring of health . When you buy this head immediately for the jungle and farm, farm farm.

Mid-Late

Now you have Battle Fury and you kill creep waves and clear the jungle in seconds. You have to participate in team fights and when not ganking, chose to jungle as more as you can. Don’t forget that you are the best chaser/finisher in the game because you have a perma slow with insane range (Q) and a blink (W). When you get Skull Basher very few opponents can fight you 1vs1. After Skull Basher get immediately Black King Bar

Fighting Tactics/Tips

-I always start the fight throwing a dagger. Right after I throw it, I W-blink and I am hitting my opponent. Usually after 2 seconds they try to retreat and that is when the dagger reaches it’s target (because it travels slow) and I finish him.

-When you need to run for your life you can easily W-blink on a creep that is far away or even a teammate.

-Prefer not to initiate a fight but jump after the battle has started and blink on the squishier opponent. If you are lucky with the crits you can kill someone in 4-5 hits. (which btw the first 4 hits come very fast after the blink)

-You can use W-Blink many times even after you jump on an opponent even on the same opponent or you can even swap targets in the battlefield. You have spam this as well when jungling since it helps you cover distances faster but mainly because the 4 quick hits after the blink kill creeps instantly.

Item Comments

My Item build is very straight forward. I chose Skull Basher instead of Monkey King Bar because the stun is amazing. It is very nice to get 2 1k crits on a stunned opponent. If the enemy has very high DPS melee heroes like Ursa and Riki pick Blade Mail instead of Assault Cuirass and you can kill Ursa 1 vs 1. Also if they have a lot of magic damage (Lina, Leshrac) get Hood and replace Poor Man’s shield. BKB is also core item and get it after Skull Basher and before Assault Cuirass.

Leave Assault Cuirass as the last core item. You need Cuirass because it helps you a lot to survive and also you get Basher stuns more frequently due to the attack speed bonus.

If you get extra rich upgrade Helm to Satanic and Skull Basher to Abyssal Blade

Skills Comments

Your 1st skill you max is the dagger because you can harass, last hit creeps, chase and finish off opponents. Worst skill for Mortred is Blur in my opinion. After the huge 20% passive evasion, the rest skill gain is awful and not worth investing to. I prefer to get stats instead of 5% evasion.
