This guide will explain how to create a stylized banner for your team in Dota 2.

Before we get started you are going to need a few tools so you can follow along with the guide.

You will need some form of image editor. In this guide I will be using Adobe Photoshop CS5 but other versions of the program should work just fine. You can use GIMP or PAINT. NET as a free alternative to Photoshop as well.

Additionally you are going to need the Dota 2 Banner Templates. You can create everything yourself from scratch but the Dota 2 team have created some pretty great starting points which we will be using in this tutorial.

You can find links to all of the necessary stuff below.

You have four separate spots for branding when you create a team. To edit your team logos navigate to the Community tab on the main menu within Dota 2. Once you are there you will be able to click on the My Teams tab and then choose Edit Logo located at the bottom of the pane.

Below is an explanation of each logo and where they will be placed within the game, along with their corresponding size requirements.

Team Interface Logo: This image will be used on the HUD, lobbies and so on. This image will be re-sized to 250 x 150 pixels. Below is where you will see this image in the game.

Team Sponsors: This image will be used to display team sponsorship on a Team Profile panel. It will be re-sized to 250 x 150 pixels. Below is where you will see this image in the game.

Team Base Logo: This logo will be used to decorate your in-game base. It will be re-sized to 256 x 256 pixels. Below is where you will see this image in the game.

Team Banner Logo: This logo will be placed on your in-game banners. It will be re-sized to 256 x 256 pixels. Below is where you will see this image in the game.

The primary focus of this gu >

Before we begin you will need to figure out what it is you want to use for your banners. In this tutorial I will be creating a fake team called “Tiny Cat”. I will be using images of my cat called Matilda, she’s cute.

If you’d like to follow along with this tutorial using the same images I use you can find them below.

Unlike other Source games, Dota 2 handles transparent images in a more native way. Instead of relying on Alpha Channels, Dota 2 is able to import a transparent PNG and have it read it in a way you would expect.

The Interface, Sponsor and Base Logo areas handle transparency normally. The only exception is the Banner Logo. Try to imagine that the banners have no background to them at all. If you imported a transparent image in to the game, the only areas that will render will be the visible parts of the image. In other words the image you are importing is not being layered on to something else, it just floats there.

When I import this image in to Dota 2 without any transparency all I get is a basic rectangle shape for my banner.

If I erase some areas of the image I start to form a different shape, notice that nothing is rendered in the transparent areas.

You’ll also probably notice that only half of the image is being shown. This is because when the image is imported in the game it is draped over a pole. The left side will be displayed from the front and the right side will be displayed from the back. With the default game camera you will primarily see the front side of the pole only. In other words you have 256 x 128 of usable space for the front, and 256 x 128 usable space for the back.

The Dota 2 team has provided some excellent starting points for creating team banners. They have included some basic shapes along with some nice textures which you can use to improve your banner and to make it look good within the game. If you don’t already have the team banner templates you can grab them here.

For this tutorial I will be using the template titled border_invertedarrow_00. Open up the image in Photoshop by going to File > Open and selecting the template.

With the template open the first thing we are going to do is create a new layer. You can do this by going to the Layers panel and selecting the Create New Layer option. I’ve highlighted this selection below.

Once you have created a new layer the next thing we are going to do is move it so it’s underneath the template. You can do this by selecting the layer on the panel and dragging it underneath the existing layer.

Any image imported on this layer will now show up underneath the template.

Open up the image you want to use for your banner and copy it so it’s on your clipboard. Go back to Photoshop and paste it in, you can do this by tapping Control + V or by going to Edit > Paste. You should now have something which looks similar to what I have below.

If you’re using the same images as I am the scale will be way off when you first import it. Click on the Move Tool and make sure you have Show Transform Controls checked at the top. Once this is turned on you will see some areas around the image that you can use to resize it. Grab one of the corners and hold down Shift on your keyboard. This will keep the image constrained perfectly so it’s impossible to make it look squished or deformed.

When you’re done you should have something which looks like this.

You can repeat this process until you have completed making your banner. In my example I didn’t cover the back area of the banner so I created another new layer underneath the template one and imported a second image to fill up all of the white space.

The next part in the process is to remove the excess areas which are outside of the banner template. Because the templates have a thick border this is very easy to do. Make sure you are happy with your banner design before proceeding as it will not be as easy to edit it past this point.

Hold down Shift and select every layer besides the one which has the banner template on it. With everything selected, right click and choose Merge Layers.

Your Layers panel should now look something like this. Both the front and back are all on one layer and the template is on another.

Select the Polygon Lasso tool by right clicking the Lasso tool on the Tools Menu. This will bring up a sub-menu where the Polygon Lasso tool will be an option.

Select the layer which has your design on it and trace around the areas which fall outside of the template. Because the border of the template is thick it doesn’t have to be precise, so long as it doesn’t go inside of the banner. You should have something which looks like this.

Hit Delete on your keyboard and you’re done! If you followed along with this guide exactly you should now have something which looks like this.

All you need to do now is save your work. Go to File > Save As and choose PNG on the drop down menu.

All you need to do now is test it out in Dota 2 to see how it looks. Navigate to your team profile by going to Community > My Teams > Edit Team Info. Import the banner we just created under the Team Banner Logo section.

To test it out on the map create a Private Lobby by going to Play > Create Lobby. When you join a team a drop-down menu will appear at the top which will allow you to select your team. This will activate your team logos on the map.

And there we have it! You have successfully created a stylized team banner to show off your team in-game. Have fun and be creative. See if you can come up with some unique shapes and ideas, think outside the box!

These Dota 2 Tattoos We Invoked Will Leave You Silenced

Get ready to Roshan, because these Dota 2 tattoos are the Aegis of body art.

On average, around 1 million players login to play Dota 2 per night, staring at their avatar marching into battle across the screen until their eyes bleed and muscles atrophy. I’m one of these hopeless addicts, having roughly 2,000 hours clocked on my main profile and a couple hundred more on my smurf account. I’ll be the first to admit that it’s embarrassing, but in my defense, playing the game so much has made me an authority on the subject. Now, I can explain with certainty what sporting a tattoo tribute to the game is all about, which — to get right to the divine rapier’s point — is crushing your enemies, aka point-and-click combat at its finest.

Of all the multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBAs) at gamers’ fingertips today, Dota 2 is by far the most popular and commercially successful. League of Legends and Heroes of the Storm have their appeal, but they’ve never beat out the OG game of the genre. Dota 2’s most recent premiere annual tournament — The International — had a $20 million prize pool, dwarfing its contenders by an insanely large margin. Its devoted fan-base and bustling marketplace, where people spend exorbitant amounts of money buying items to trick out their units, have made it into the most lucrative ventures to ever disrupt the gaming industry.

Dota 2’s predecessor — the prototype for the entire MOBA genre, Defenders of the Ancients — was built on the backs of passionate gamers, who first conceptualized the game style as a custom mod in Blizzard’s Warcraft III. The design was an instant hit, and its popularity prompted Value to purchase the intellectual property of the game, shaping it into the more refined stand-alone version that so many players are hooked on today. Since being released in 2013, Dota 2 has reshaped the video game industry, spawning numerous imitators and even providing the conceptual basis for recent sensations like Overwatch. In short, it is one of the most influential games of the new millennium.

Given its massive following, it was really only a matter of time before Dota 2 devotees got tributes to the game. Depending on whether they like soaking damage up, dishing it out, or just supporting teammates with some well placed wards, tons of fans have commemorated their love of the different units’ play-styles by getting tattoos of them. In the battleground of body art, nearly all of the current 113 heroes have appeared as homages. Everyone from Abaddon to Zeus has blinked their way onto people’s skin. To my surprise, even my main — the hugely reviled Meepo — poofed into a portrait. Just like in the MOBA, there are a lot of characters to choose from, but having a tattoo of any of them, hints you have an outrageously high MMR.

To see more nerdy body art, make sure to hit up these tattooists Instagrams. If you’re a Dota 2 nut, consider commissioning one of them give you a tattoo of your favorite hero.

In-game changes in Dota 2’s patch 7.07 you absolutely need to know

The Dueling Fates Update brought pretty big changes to mechanics and map.

Share All sharing options for: In-game changes in Dota 2’s patch 7.07 you absolutely need to know

Happy Halloween, by the way! Diretide Official Art/Valve

Dota 2’s 7.07 patch dropped a lot of pretty big changes: five new items, two new heroes, a wave of crazy talents and a bunch of hero reworks. These all are certainly going to require a bit of training as you re-learn these heroes.

But what about the map? Indeed, with many of Icefrog’s recent patches, he’s been giving some major tweaks to how the map functions, whether physically or mechanically.

So there’s no exaggeration when we say there are some pretty major changes that you need to know going into this

New attribute bonuses

The primary attribute of heroes have been a central feature of Dota 2, but 7.07 cements this concept further by giving new perks to such characters. We think they speak for themselves, so we’ll just lay out the attribute changes here.

  • Strength: If strength is a hero’s primary attribute, every point in strength increases their status resistance by 0.15.
  • Agility: If agility is a hero’s primary attribute, every point in agility increases their movement speed by 0.06.
  • Intelligence: If intelligence is a hero’s primary attribute, every point in intelligence increases their magic resistance by 0.15.

Basically, every hero can do their job just a little bit better: The tanks can tank better, the agility heroes can chase for a kill, and supports won’t get pummeled by an enemy support in the early game. These changes will certainly make for more interesting builds in both public and professional games as players decide how they want their heroes to impact the game.

Armor and HP/Mana have been rescaled

It seems like Armor has become a little too powerful of a mechanic, so the formula has scaled down: From 0.06 * [Armor Modifier]/(1 + 0.06 * [Armor Modifier]), to 0.05 * [Armor Modifier]/(1 + 0.05 * [Armor Modifier]) Buildings and Roshan have been rescaled accordingly so they have similar finally Armor values after the calculations.

Health and Mana have also been tweaked significantly. In short, attributes (Str/Int) are taken out of the flat-regeneration formula, and instead, a “percentage” modifier by the attributes are taken from a total created by the Base and “Flat,” or extra, regeneration bonuses.

It rewards heroes with plenty of Health and Mana regeneration items, and they’ve taken care to adjust such item, talent and heroes values as well to match.

Laning has been more-than-mildly reworked

Some of it seems very small, but it’ll make a difference in your early game. For the safelane and offlanes, creeps meet by default a little bit closer to the corresponding offlane. Safelane blockers will have a little less work to do now, and they’ll be a bit less prone to early-game blocks. Mid laners will also be thrilled (or disappointed) to know that the extra Melee creep has been pulled.

Meanwhile, solo-laners and supports will need to keep an eye on their waves. While XP and XP range have gone up plenty, denying has been dramatically buffed: enemies whose creeps you deny will only get 25%, instead of last patch’s 70%. The denier now only gets 25% instead of 30%, but the payoff is immense for players looking to win their lane.

Note, though: Denies by neutral creeps don’t count anymore.

Jungle creeps go to sleep at night

No, this isn’t satire. There are some smaller changes to neutral creeps and jungling, but the one that’s got everyone talking is the nighttime sleep mechanic for Neutrals.

What “sleeping” means is that they have zero aggro range. Basically, instead of walking into their camp, you actually need to physically attack.

It’s also worth studying up the physical changes to the jungle. A few trees have been removed from the Radiant safelane, and some jungles have been moved around on both sides of the map.

Roshan drops a one-time Refresher Orb

Once again, we’re not joking. It seems like teams needed some motivation to go for the third Roshan, since Cheese has been dropped the second Roshan since 7.06, so the antes have been upped.

This Refresher Orb is its own item, separate from any other Refresher Orb you may have already picked up, but it’s locked exclusively to refreshing abilities. In other words, you’re getting a one-time Refresher Orb in case you blow your ult right before the post-Roshan teamfight.

Fountain diving is less effective

. and fountains are much more generous about their healing.

Anyone looking to enter the enemy fountain is going to get hit much harder, as the damage has been amped up by 30 minimum and 40 tops: from 190-199 to its new 220-240 base damage. In other words, even the tankiest heroes are going to feel the Fountain’s pummeling a bit harder.

And heroes inside are going to survive easier, as HP regeneration has gone up from 4% per tick to 5% per tick. Mana regeneration has been rescaled, from 4% + 14 mana to a flat 6%. It’s not great for early-game restoration, but late-game, it’ll feel much better.

What else?

That was a lot already! But there’s still plenty left to uncover this patch. Here are more quick pointers that will help you going into the updated game:

  • EVERYONE gets a free Teleport scroll! It starts on cooldown, but still! Free TP scroll!
  • Couriers are 200 gold, but they automatically upgrade now. Couriers have a Shield now instead of Haste, and bottle crowing has been taken out.
  • Captain’s Mode has an extra first ban, bringing the total bans up to six.
  • The All-Pick Order has been changed from A-B-A-B-etc to A-BB-AA-BB-A-B.
  • The Tier 4 towers don’t have HP regen anymore.
  • Shrines have been nerfed and moved around; the in-base shrines have been removed.
  • Ten random heroes per day will be “bonus” heroes and gifted a free unsellable mango if chosen.
  • There’s no Random Gold anymore. Randoming will default to one of the “bonus heroes” and gifted an extra Iron Branch.
  • Glyph makes your creeps invulnerable.
  • Hero respawn times have been rescaled; you spawn a bit quicker in levels 1-5.

If you’re still itching to know what else has been changed (which is plenty, trust us), you can find the 7.07 patch notes on the Dueling Fates Update site.

Top Games Updates: (DotA 2) – Update 7.21 is here! Part 2

DotA 2 is one of the top games in the world right now. If you are reading this to learn more about it. You have come to the right place.

Today, we’re still going to discuss some of the major patch changes that have taken effect right after Update 7.21. It’s very important to learn about these major updates because not only does it balance out the gameplay for one of Valve’s top games for this year and beyond, but to ensure that the game also works properly.

Second Batch Of Major Changes/Updates

I know you are ready for the latest updates in one of the top games in the world.

  • Animal Courier: Flying movement speed increased from 460 to 470
  • Aeon Disk: Active status resistance increased from 50% to 75%
  • The Aeon Disk: Recipe cost reduced from 1350 to 1250
  • Battle Fury: Percentage damage bonus against non-hero units changed to be a fixed amount matching Quelling Blade
  • Bloodstone: Bloodpact changed from 60% of current mana to 30% of max mana
  • Bloodthorn: Cooldown reduced from 18 to 15
  • Boots of Travel: Level 2 movement speed increased from +32% to +35%
  • Buckler: Activated armor bonus duration on heroes reduced from 25 to 15 (carries through to Mek)
  • Crimson Guard: Recipe cost increased from 600 to 750
  • Drums of Endurance: Passive changed from a 6% movement speed aura to +20 movement speed to yourself only
  • Ethereal Blade: Enemy debuff duration increased from 3 to 4 (matching duration when cast on allies)

More Item Updates

  • Eul’s Scepter of Divinity: Movement speed bonus changed from +6% percentage to +20 flat
  • Holy Locket: Now uses Energy Booster instead of a Void Stone (provides +325 Mana)
  • Iron Branch: Cast range increased from 200 to 400
  • Manta Style: Movement speed bonus reduced from +25 to +20
  • Mask of Madness: Lifesteal increased from 15% to 20%
  • Mekansm: Stack limit is now tied to cooldown on cast (like Greaves and Crimson stack mechanics)
  • Meteor Hammer: Radius increased from 300 to 315
  • Necronomicon: Last Will damage increased from 550/675/800 to 600/700/800
  • Nullifier: Duration increased from 5 to 6
  • The Phase Boots: Recipe changed from Gloves of Haste to Blades of Attack

Why Is It Important To Learn These?

The notes above describe the changes made for the items that are being sold inside the game. It is important to learn and note about these changes because with every meta change in top games comes game-changing stat increase and decrease for every item in the game. Remember when I said that itemization in DotA 2 is the key to victory? Then this is your chance to read, learn and then apply what you’ve learned with the patch notes and you should be winning ranked matches in no time at all.

My Final Thoughts

So which of the item changes in the list seem game-changing?

I’d say the changes done for Phase Boots seem fitting for discussion. In the past, Phase Boots is the item favored for heroes who have slow movement speed. With Phase Boots, you can simply walk through creeps in order to escape an incoming gank. With the new stats for the Phase Boots, however, it would seem that the new update aims to make the boots more dangerous when used by melee heroes. The + 18 to damage for melee heroes seem like a nice buff while the +12 to attack for range heroes give balance to this awesome game.

Well known for his solo mid skills, he is regarded as one of the most creative players in the scene today, and is renowned for his unorthodox play style and unconventional skill and item builds. After having played for Natus Vincere for the entirety of his professional Dota 2 career, he finally departed the active roster for the first time in September 2018. He currently plays for The Pango.

Biography [ edit ]

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Dendi got an early start with competitive gaming in net cafes when his elder brother married, moved out and took the family’s PC with him. Dabbling with Counter-Strike first, he soon found Warcraft 3 where he played in local tournaments and built a love for the competition and a thirst to be the best. Though he was quite successful in Warcraft 3 and even won a few local championships in Lviv, he knew he had found his calling when he stumbled upon DotA. He picked up the game quickly and played it almost exclusively over the next few months.

Beginning with learning only supports, he practiced heavily and was quickly vouched to the IHCS1 league and soon created his own team for tournaments in Lviv. After he led his team to a championship in Kiev, he was drafted by a team called “Wolker. Gaming” and began his professional career at 17.

DotA [ edit ]

Dendi started playing professionally with WG in 2006. [1] He was a part of the Ukrainian squad that finished third in MYM Prime Nations the same year. Only a few months later WG made it to the grand final of one of the most prestigious tournaments at the time; MYM Prime Defending. [2] When Kingsurf. international merged with WG the next year he became a full-time member of Ks. int. [1] In late 2008 he joined DTS, only to return to Ks. int in March 2009. [3] Three months later though, Dendi returned to DTS. [4] The team would end up finishing 2nd at ESWC 2010. At the end of 2010, Dendi and DTS finished 3rd at the prestigious WDC 2010. [5] Dendi joined Natus Vincere at the end of 2010. [6]

Dota 2 [ edit ]

Dendi started his Dota 2 career with Na’Vi, who quickly established themselves as one of the best teams in the world by winning The International 2011. Na’Vi continued to dominate and won many tournaments in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. Dendi was the center of Na’Vi’s consistent stable and skilled rosters, with his performance greatly contributing to their success.

The Natus Vincere Dota 2 team achieved significant success with Dendi as their midlaner during the first few years of the game; they finished as the runners-up for both The International 2012 and The International 2013, losing out to Invictus Gaming and Alliance, respectively. 2013 would mark the last year of Na’Vi and Dendi’s dominance in the Dota 2 scene, as they only recorded two LAN victories since January 2014. The International 2014 saw Na’Vi and Dendi finishing the tournament outside of the top 2 for the first time and the following two Internationals, TI 5 and TI 6, they would finish in last place. The results would deteriorate further, as they would fail to even qualify for The International 2017, they failed to advance out of the group stage of the regional qualifiers. This marked the first year of The International tournaments without Dendi attending as a player. The 2017/18 season started of promising for Dendi and Na’Vi, who dominated the CIS scene in the early months, crowning their improving results with their second LAN victory since 2014. However, the second half of the season saw the roster break apart and finally the team would fail to even reach the regional qualifiers for The International 2018, after losing in the open qualifier.

Four years of roster instability and poor results finally took their toll on the reputation of the Na’Vi organization and on Dendi’s status as a legendary player and a top tier midlaner. After 8 years playing mid on Na’Vi, Dendi was finally removed from the active roster in September 2018. However, Dendi vowed to continue playing professionally. After a brief stint on Tigers, Dendi joined The Pango.

New Ward Spots And Terrain Changes in 6.86

6.86 brought a variety of changes that not only affected heroes and items, but also the map as we know it. While the Dire jungle remained largely the same, the Radiant has experienced changes that redefine how a team should ward and control the map. We’ll take a look at these changes and break them down for you.

Note: Click on any image to enlarge it

Wards

Before we address any of the old ward spots, there is one brand new spot. Right on top of the new camp next to the Radiant Secret shop, a new cliff has emerged that wants you to ward it. From up there, you have full vision over the Secret Shop area, as well as the Ancients and the stairs leading up to them. Unlike its counter part, the Ward above the Roshan pit, it may not be as useful for both sides.

Valve has changed some of the very iconic and significant ward spots of the Radiant part of the map. Take this one Ward spot for example. A usually very Dire favored Ward spot at the Radiant Ancient camp used to give vision to both the camp, as well as to the midlane highground of the Radiant. Now however, it only provides you with reliable vision over the Ancient camp. It becomes a tradeoff, whether you want to control the ancients (something you’ll need during the midgame) or if you want the highground vision (a key factor for the laning stage).

However, there is a small trick to play around that. By cutting/eating one of the trees, you still get a little bit of highground vision. Obviously, cutting/eating more trees would provide you with even more vision, but it would also be more obvious.

Another very popular ward spot is the one above the Radiant hard camp. It used to be the go-to ward for the Dire when infiltrating the jungle and trying to find pickoffs, or the ultimate defensive ward for the Radiant. It may still very much serve these purposes, but placing the Ward, or dewarding it, has become a bit more difficult.

Looking at the image, the hill/cliff used to be where Anti-Mage is standing. Now, you’d have to walk even further to plant the ward. In fact, before you could even do it from the treeline on the left from the lowground, putting you in even less danger. As Dire, this means it’s easier to plant and deward it, because not only is it further away from the Radiant base, but there’s also an additional path right next to it. Because of that additional path leading to the hard camp, this Ward spot becomes even more important. On top of that, it now provides clear vision over the camp above it, something it didn’t do to a degree it does now.

There is another significant Ward spot on the Radiant side, one that used to be popular among Dire offlaners. One that allowed you to see both the Rune, as well as the movement by the supports if they ganked you. Now, the new hard camp and the new ramp occupy that Ward spot. Technically, it’s still possible to have a Ward see both the Rune and some of the support movement, but placing it puts you in a bit more danger and it may not provide you with all the possible movements.

When talking about Wards, one has to talk about the Rune spots. The bottom Rune spot has moved up a bit, which has only little meaning in the grand scheme of things. The top Rune spot may have not moved, but due to the ramps being changed, it appears to be a bit further down. In general, looking at the water is always a good way to see where exactly the Rune will spawn.

Terrain Changes

Again, it is mostly the Radiant jungle that has experiences changes. As mentioned above, the Radiant hard camp has now gotten a pathway to the right of it. In addition, a path in the treeline has been added to make it even more accessible. That opened up treline actually allows for an additional Ward spot to be even better.

The Dire offlane now has a hard camp to pull to. To make it resemble the Radiant Offlane/Dire Safelane, this camp is also the designated double pull camp. Much like before, you’ll have to eat through a tree and can then double pull.

The cliffs at the top rune have both now gotten walkable paths, meaning that if you somehow end up on top of one, you can easily walk down. The same applies to one of the cliffs at the bottom rune (Radiant Side).

Thew two new camps at both Secret Shops fit well into the terrain and can both be scouted by adjacent Ward spots.

Another change on the Radiant side now allows the Dire to infiltrate the enemy jungle easier. The Tier1 tower is now further away from the river, meaning that there is a line at which you would not have vision. This can be especially useful during the nighttime.

What do these changes mean?

The Radiant jungle has more openings now and it is rather difficult to keep full control over it for both sides. Sometimes it even seems as if two Wards are necessary to keep your carry in the jungle safe, as numerous amounts of entrances and pathways make it easier for gank attemps. This lack of safety becomes apparent when there are early roamers present, such as Spirit Breaker or Bounty Hunter, who have an easier time chasing junglers now.

Contesting Runes has also become a bit more difficult for the Radiant now, something that used to be much in their favor, for both Runes.

Overall, these changes are supposed to bring balance to both factions, as the Dire jungle was considered to be easier to invade. These changes certainly go into the right direction, but it may also have given the Dire a slight edge. Some time will be needed to properly judge and adjust to these changes, but they certainly have made the game more challenging – for both sides.

Update: Spawn Boxes

Upon popular request, we’ve taken a look at the spawn boxes as well – and we’re glad we did that! Spawn boxes are important in order to block any camps in the early game, be it to annoy the jungler or to prevent the opponent from pulling. Let’s take a look at the new camps first.

The new camps have quite large spawn boxes. Depending on what the meta may look like, this could become important when attempting to block one of these camps. While you can cleverly hide your Ward on the Radiant side, the Dire has less options to do so. For the Dire camp though, an aggressive Ward from the Radiant in front of the Secret Shop was not unusual and a blocked camp could give that one away.

Before we talk about the Radiant camps, here are all of their spawn boxes.

The hard camp to the left and the small camp have changed notably. They have become smaller, most likely due to the terrain changes. You used to be able to block off the small camp from the right side with a Ward placed in the treeline, forcing the enemy to cut their way through to deward. You can still block the camp from the right side, but it’s not as hidden anymore.

As for the hard camp on the right side, which acts as both the double pull camp for the Radiant, as well as offlane pull camp for the Dire: This camp could potentially see some Warding shennanigans between both sides. The Radiant could potentially block it to prevent any offlane pulls, while still gaining vision over the enemy offlaner (see below), and vice versa, where the offlaner prevents the double pull while still getting good vision out of the jungle.

For both sides, these changes to the spawn boxes don’t seem broken or game changing just yet, but through playing around with it and some tinkering, one may find that one Ward spot that will be.

If you want to play around with these spawn boxes yourself, you should check out the custom map “Neutral Camp Spawn Boxes by devilesk”, which has been updated for 6.86 already and was used to take these screenshots.

Have you found a Ward spot yet that could be the Ward spot of 6.86?

Today’s update adds Warlock, a master of the Dark Arts and the only hero capable of summoning a mighty flaming golem.

Among a variety of other fixes and additions, today’s update also adds another step in our ongoing work to tackle community health. A couple of updates ago we released a report and commendation system. This has given us a bunch of data about the various ways that some players are helping or hurting the fun of other players. One theme we noticed was that there are some players out there who reduce other people’s fun through the communication channels, but at the same time receive commendations in other games for being good players to play with or against. So with this update we’re adding a system that detects players who are clearly reducing the fun of other players specifically through text and voice chat – and temporarily removes their ability to use those chat systems. Once they return to being additive to the community, they can re-earn that functionality. As usual, we’ll be paying careful attention to whether this makes the Dota world a better place, and you can send us your thoughts after seeing it in action.

You can read Today’s changelog here.

The crusade continues

It’s Knight time!

In addition to Omniknight and Dragon Knight, today’s update includes another step in our process of tackling the problem of players abandoning games repeatedly. This is the first time we’ll be moving beyond just gathering data, and into the realm of taking action: players who have been identified as repeatedly leaving games will be moved into a separate matchmaking pool for a period of time. As usual, there’s a variety of other smaller additions and fixes.

We’d also like to welcome the new folks who received Dota 2 invites yesterday. If you weren’t one of the lucky folks, you’ll be happy to know we’ll be pushing out new invites every couple of days.

Finally, we’d like to give a shout out to Dreamhack’s Dota 2 tournament. If your team is in the area, sign up fast – there’s a limited number of slots.

You can read today’s changelog here.

Your time has come

Check your email, because the first batch of invites are going out!

The sleeping dragon wakes

We’ve just finished our first significant expansion of Dota 2 server capacity around the world, and that means it’s time to kick this thing up a notch. Starting this week, we’ll be handing out Dota 2 in increasing volumes. To celebrate, we’re releasing the first part of the official Dota 2 comic, Tales from the Secret Shop.

Once you’ve read today’s part, make sure you fill out the Dota 2 Survey in Steam to secure your place in the upcoming invitations. The extra data the survey provides will allow us to ensure we invite a wide spread of players and hardware. UPDATE: If the link above doesn’t work, in the Steam client click the ”Steam” menu in the upper left, then “Check for Steam Client Updates…” to get the latest version of the Steam Client.

Once you have Dota 2 installed, keep an eye on this blog. We update the game every Thursday with extra heroes, features, and bug fixes, and we’ll cover interesting elements of those updates right here. We’ll also be giving you some more insight into the development of Dota 2 over the coming months, as we roll through the rest of Dota’s many heroes.

Heat wave coming!

Today’s update adds Huskar, Batrider, and everyone’s favorite Twin-Headed Dragon, Jakiro.

We’re continuing to experiment with community management features, so today we’re adding a commendation system, which allows you to commend players who made your game a happier experience, and report anyone being hostile. As always, we’ll be gathering a bunch of data on the usage of the feature to see how it’ll fit into our overall system. Also, since we’ve received a bunch of positive feedback about the Player Perspective view in spectator mode, we’ve been working on putting the finishing touches on it – in this update it now shows you the shop, so you can see exactly how the pros buy their items. As usual, there’s a variety of other gameplay additions and fixes, and some improvements to the practice bots.

The folks over at joindota. Dota 2 beta key area 11l com, in partnership with own3D, have announced an online tournament featuring 24 teams that will compete for $14,000 dollars. The tournament will start on November 7th, so head over to the-defense. com for coverage.

Update notes are available here.

Misery loves company

Now that you’ve got some practice against Riki, you’re ready to carry a gem against Broodmother. Who better to carry it than Skeleton King? And if you have a King, you need to have a Queen.

We’ve also added the ability to Pause the game. Each player can currently pause the game 3 times, and as always we’ll iterate over the ruleset as you guys test the feature and get us feedback.

With ESWC coming up on Sunday, we’ve kept most other changes in the game to a minimum. These new heroes will be enabled in Captains Mode after the tournament is over but are available for regular use in Matchmaking. You can root for your favorite team over at Gosugamers for a chance to win a beta key.

Habilidades [ editar ]

  • Refraction interrupts Templar Assassin’s channeling spells upon cast.
  • Places 2 buffs on Templar Assassin, named “Damage” and “Absorb”. One buff grants instances of damage block and the other instances of bonus attack damage.
  • The numbers of left instances are visible on the buff icons. The buffs and the visual effects of the ability are visible to everyone.
  • The bonus damage is added as regular attack damage bonus, which is visible in the HUD.
    • Loses a bonus damage instance when the attack projectile successfully lands on the target. Missed or disjointed attacks do not count.
    • Does not lose instances upon attacking allies, but the damage is still applied.
    • When casting Refraction while an attack projectile is traveling, the projectile does not get the bonus damage, but still uses up one instance upon landing.
  • The damage absorb fully negates damage, causing several on-damage effects to not trigger.
    • Has a higher priority than Escudo Afótico and Armadura Viva , but lower than Falsa Promessa . However, it still loses a charge when combined with the latter.
    • Damage below 5 (after reductions) is completely ignored. It is neither blocked, nor wastes any block instances.
    • Refraction negates all 3 damage types. It does not negate damage flagged as HP Removal.
  • When the talent is chosen, applies a basic dispel on Templar Assassin upon cast.
  • Meld interrupts Templar Assassin’s channeling spells upon cast.
  • Turns Templar Assassin instantly invisible and orders her to stop.
  • Invisibility is lost upon reaching the cast point of spells or items, upon landing an attack, or upon moving.
    • Forced movement also counts, and cancels Meld if moved horizontally. Vertical movement, and Teleporting effects do not cancel it.
    • After an attack projectile has been launched, Templar Assassin can perform any action without losing the invisibility.
    • However, when the projectile misses (evasion, blind or disjoint), the invisibility is lost at the moment it misses.
  • Turns Templar Assassin phased, so that other units may pass through her.
  • Templar Assassin can pick up, drop or attack items without breaking the invisibility, cons >Lâminas Psíquicas .
  • This also means that it fully works with spell damage amplification and spell lifesteal.
  • Meld first applies Templar Assassin’s actual attack damage, then the armor debuff and then the Meld damage.
    • This means the leading attack’s damage is not increased by the armor reduction, but the spell’s own damage is.
  • Psi Blades increases Templar Assassin’s total attack range to Erro Lua: Erro de expressão: Carácter de pontuação “<" não reconhecido. .
  • With no points in Psi Blades, Templar Assassin has an attack range of only 140, but still counts as a ranged hero.
  • The spill range is based on the attack target’s position, not on Templar Assassin’s. So from max attack range, she can hit units up to Erro Lua: Erro de expressão: Carácter de pontuação ” <" não reconhecido. range away.
  • The affected area has a rectangular shape, with a width of <> and with the spill range as length.
  • Spill damage is based on her attack damage after all reductions.
    • This means the spill damage can be increased by reducing the armor of the primary target.
    • It can also be increased by increasing Templar Assassin’s attack damage with attack modifiers like crits or bashes.
  • Attack modifiers are only applied to the primary target.
  • Templar Assassin’s position is checked as the projectile hits the target, not upon launching.
  • Despite the visual effects, Psi Blades do not spill damage when attacking illusions or buildings.
  • Psi Blades spill damage when attacking allies or wards.
  • Spill damage hits invisible units, but does not hit wards or buildings.
  • When the talent is chosen, slows the movement speed of all enemies hit by the spill damage. The primary attack target is not slowed.
    • Psi Blades first apply the damage, then the debuff.
