Basically i love how ironwood branches are really cost effective stats but they are only used in making mek and wand.

What about being able to combine 4 ironwood branches into an IronWood Bark, which gives +3 to all stats (losing out on 1 to all stat because they are so good! and it simulates lost efficiency).

Then you can combine 4 of these to give an IronWood Tree which in total gives +10 to all stats (again losing out on +1 to all stats).

Branch = 50 Gold = +1 ALL STATS

4 Branches = Bark = 200 Gold = +3 ALL STATS

4 Bark = Tree = 800 Gold = +10 ALL STATS

Maybe a recipe could be added in because 800 gold to all stats is insanely cost effective, as an ultimate orb is +10 to all stats and is 2100 Gold.

Recipe would cost maybe 100 gold for the first stages (Branch to Bark) and 200 for the second stage (Bark to Tree) bringing the grand total to 1400 Gold!

They would be only early game items. Idea is good, but then volvo has to release more items(which wont happen) so the Bark and Tree can be built into something more.

Ironwood tree? Sounds nice. Do i plant it? It gives stats to everyone around it? Do i need to water it so it’ll grow up?
Does it stack? Can i plant 10 of em on hg so everyone will have +100 stats? Yeah it sounds pretty op but you can take em down with quelling blade..

So you want people to leave a 2100 gold item, the Ultimate Orb, which gives +10 all stats and choose the 800 gold item that gives the same stats?

I mean, you must realize how this would turn some stats based carries, which need a tonne of farm to be effective, to killing machines from minute 10.

There are carries that chose late game items just because they have an Ultimate Orb in it. So if you give a 10+ all stats in 800 gold. that would mean they get 6 slotted with 4000 gold + a boot. Things are going to get out of control there.

this would just ruin the already in place items that provide these stats. (with Magic Wand that gives +3)

Well there’s the fact that the orb is used to be built into other things, linkens, skadi, sheep, manta. Ironwood branch tree dota 2

Like with ags, it costs 3000 for the ogre club, staff of wizardry and blade of alactrity, and that gives +10 all stats basically. So 900 gold is entirely wasted but you need the 3 for ags.

And before you start whining, did you even read the rest of my post?

I suggested a recipe to make it more balanced, it would be 1400 instead of 800. If you still think its crazy it isnt hard to adjust the recipe costs even more until it seems right.

It was just an idea i had, you dont have to cry that your precious dota would be completely turned upside down.

Maybe next time leave constructive criticism rather than blatently pointing out the flaws, thanks

Dota 2 FPS Gu >

Everything you need to know about FPS in Dota 2!

How can I see my FPS in Dota 2?

To see your FPS and other network information in Dota 2 follow these simple steps:

  • Run Dota 2 and click on Settings.
  • Now click on Options and then “Advanced Options”.
  • On the right side of the screen, you will find the “Miscellaneous” column.
  • Select the fourth check box of the column called “Network Information”.
  • The above steps will activate your Dota 2 FPS feature.
  • Now play Dota2 and during the game, on the top right corner, you will see the new given data:
FPS, Ping, Packet In, and Out.

What is FPS and why is it
Important for Dota 2?

FPS stands for Frames Per Second and it defines the rendering speed of your system. In short, it shows how fast your system is adjusting the graphics of the game.

To play a smooth game, it is necessary to have high FPS. With low FPS, you will face a lot of delay during the game. Even if you have a good internet connection, it will not help in removing the delay because the network has no link with FPS. There is a myth that if you have high PING, you will face low FPS – that’s just WRONG! The ping has no relation with FPS.

As you can see on the image, 15 FPS is quite low, 30 is ok but 60 is required to see a fluent movement of objects on your screen. Everything under 30 FPS is looking laggy or wrong for the human eye, so always try to get FPS rates above 30. 😉

How can I Reach High FPS in Dota 2?

Also in Dota 2 frames per second (in short FPS) is mandatory for smooth gameplay and skillful matches. The higher the FPS is, the smoother the game will run.
With the perfect set up the gameplay does not hang and does not get slow on high graphics. The performance of FPS depends on CPU, GPU, and RAM.
If you want to play Dota 2 on a laptop, focus on all of its dependencies – I will guide you through the exact settings.

Step by Step Guide How to Reach Higher FPS in Dota 2:

High FPS is a dream for every average level system owner. Follow these steps to simply imrove your FPS:

  • Run Dota 2 and go to settings.
  • Click on the Videos option.
  • A new page will appear on the right side of the page and you will see a rendering column.
  • Select the second radio button in that column called “Use Advanced Settings” and uncheck all the checkboxes.
  • Set all the “quality” radio boxes to the value “low”.
  • Keep the “Game Screen Random Quality Slider” at 70%.
  • Keep the “Maximum Frame Per Second Slider” at 60% – 24-%.

That’s it! 😉 These steps will give a massive boost to your FPS, if you still have 20-30 FPS afterwards then you need to change your system, for example by replacing single elements.

How to get a minimum of 60 FPS with good graphics in Dota 2?

To get a minimum of 60 FPS, it requires a combination of multiple system specifications. First of all, start with the processor, it is better to get an Intel Pentium G5400/ G5500 with a graphics card of Nvidia GTX 1050 2GB/ AMD RX 550 2GB. 8GB DDR 3/ 4GB DDR 4 RAM is the best combination. This combination will give 80-100 FPS. However, it is only possible at ultra-low graphics. If you want good graphics, then the FPS will get low to 60-70.

How to get 100+ FPS with high graphics in Dota 2?

It is an expensive task to get the Dota 2 FPS above 100 with high-quality graphics. 😉

But it’s possible, here’s how: A high-quality processor is required, such as i5 8th generation/i7 8th generation. It will help in increasing the FPS and reducing the delay.

The Graphic Card has a significant role in 100+ FPS because it is the only hardware asset that will boost your gaming experience. Nvidia 1060 4Gb or above is preferred. It would not let your system heat up as well as it will give you a high-quality gaming experience with 100-144 FPS. It is crucial to have 12 GB DDR4 or more. To play Dota 2 on a laptop with 100+ FPS you should make sure to match all of the requirements above.
Note: If you do not have a good quality Graphics card, then it does not matter if you have an i9 processor or 32 GB RAM in your system. The increase in FPS is 80% based on the Graphic Card.

Why is my FPS low in Dota 2?

FPS can be low because of many reasons:

  • The most common reason is a low-quality graphics card or a card that is not compatible with your system or you do not have the correct driver for it.
  • RAM less than the minimum requirements of Dota 2 can reduce the FPS extremely.
  • Check all the graphics option of the game even if the graphics card can not handle it.
  • The performance settings of the game are too focused on good looking.

What is the Average FPS in Dota 2?

Average FPS varies according to the quality of the system. If your system qualifies the minimum standards of Dota2 (set by a Valve), then you will get an average of 50-60 FPS in Dota 2.

However, if you will keep the graphics quality at low, then your FPS will increase for sure. The FPS rate will increase from 50-60 to 60-80. You can choose for yourself what is more important for yourself, an extremely fluent FPS rate or higher graphic effects – it depends on your personal requirements how you want to play Dota 2!

Conclusion

Graphics are also necessary for good gaming experience if you are getting 50-60 FPS at moderate graphics then it is efficient to play on those settings. If your game stucks or delays then you can lower the graphics otherwise keep them at a moderate level! Have you been able to increase your FPS? Did the article help you? Let me know! рџ™‚

General DiscussionWraith Night Strategies.

I think Omni Knight is a must in your team.

Items I got on him:

Arcane Boots II
Channelled Heal Boots
Shiva’s Guard
Mekanism
Vladimir’s
Halberd

Then I beat the game with my team.

Anyone think Legion’s Q works really well in this mode?
Which team combination do you think works best?
Items?

Just finished a pub match actually, and you are right in saying Omni is an essential.
This was my team set-up:
.Sven
.Omni
.Axe
.Magnus
.Juggernaut

Sadly, when we beat the game the screen cut back to the menu in a split second, so I’m not sure if we got any extra Shards. Really fustrating bug. But my misery aside, this was my team’s winning set-up.

omni is fucking shit

axe+drow+wr+sf+1 ezpz completed newgame++ multiple times with it

Its possible for really excellent players to win without Omni, but most people will not do well because they will die too much. Omni allows you to correct a lot of mistakes.

Axe is the best hero for the early levels. Drow and Sven are the best for the later levels when you need some serious dps. Shadow Shaman makes the Pudge level a lot easier but is almost a liability the rest of the time.

Magic stick is great for the slardar level. Also your game will be a lot easier if someone picks up a medallion to take out the big monsters a lot faster.

I always pick Omni to keep everyone alive. His Ult is a nifty little panic button. If the team is all DPSers, how would each person stay alive? Stack on salves. Kite? Any more tactics suggestions?

Basically they just kite more skillfully. Shadow Fiend in particular is a dramatically different hero for WK games if you are very good at it. A bad SF will just feed, while a good SF is very powerful.

how they all survive ? 11 second windrun son u get that at level 7 it has 14 second cooldown so its only 3 seconds downtime from physical immunity

what item is better for omni.. usually i go for arcane boot 2 > meka > refresher > aghanim / vlad

I think Arcane 2 and Vlads are very important. Besides that idk if it matters much, I’ve seen a lot of things work. I like to get medallion, AC, and Shivas. Armor is very important when the creeps do nearly all physical dmg. Any magic dmg they do can be dodged. Heart is also convenient so you can repel and stand to resurrect anyone despite masses of creeps and not worry about getting low.

we tried mag + drow + wr + sf + omni on new game ++.
took only awhile to kill the bosses.
We built ac deso medallion orchid and vlad.
SF is a must for new game ++ for the minus armor, believe me you gonna need that aura of his

farmed up 8000 crystals in wraith knight, open rare gift box, kotl hat, lmao laaaaaame

finished WN with Axe, Omni, Drow, WR and SK. Everyone bitched at SK for not going with Sven, but he did ok and his stun and ulti were helpful. I found bloodstone on drow was really useful for mana and at early stages used the mana boots for team benefit too before disassembling them. Got yasha and daedalus ofc, but went radiance too at the end since I had pots of cash and everything seemed to be chasing me. Interesting build but worked a treat in this mode.

We won with Jakiro, Sven, Drow, Sand King, and Venomancer. It’s really hard to lose if you’re at all competent about kiting.

“There is a major bug that people are using to farm shards that I should probably mention as it has been buried so it can’t get fixed.
When you kill the Wraith King and the screen comes up, if 4 or less players hit yes and then open console and use the “disconnect” command, when the final player hits yes after the rest have left, they will rejoin with their items and levels.” So, you beat normal, then do that, and you start the next round with all your levels and items ready to go.

More “extreme tips” from reddit:

“Have a teammate build a helm of the dominator, then get him to drop it on the floor. Your team should each pick it up once then drop it again. There will be a lifesteal buff on you.

Drow’s Quelling Arrow (split shot) applies attack modifiers if you orb-attack with it (read: press W, click ground) meaning that it can proc lifesteal and MAELSTROM (making slark-dar wave a piece of cake)

The bottom side appears to have three lanes: you can actually make the left side easier by moving further down to just outside the tower where the creeps come out of 2 “holes” next to each other. Best place for axe and omni to lane at for non-kited waves, and has 2 lane’s worth of exp to be fair to the team.

Drow’s quelling shot may stack all on the same target if you hit close enough, use this to your advantage by moving in closer to targets especially bosses – effectively 500%++ damage

You may sell the potions you pick up from the ground for additional gold

Arcane Boots II can be disassembled to cast a second arc due to different cooldowns (credit: http://www. reddit. com/r/DotA2/comments/1sylkh/quick_tip_you_can_disassemble_arcane_boots_ii_to/)

The final boss skills can be blocked by magic immunity, so have omni cast repel on your best damage dealer
Omni’s ultimate heals towers in addition to shielding them (along with heroes)

Omni’s ultimate summons guardian angels ON TOP OF ILLUSIONS AS WELL (manta-stacking is a legit build just for the 350 x 2 more damage from guardian angels for final boss)

Magic sticks gain charges for some mob skills (mini slarks, prophets/giant tree, roshlings, leshracs)

Do not attempt to revive team members who are dead on roshan wave if there are too many around, it’ll hasten your loss. Just kite them as much as you can

Top 10 Best Loading Screens in Dota

Dota 2 have millions of players worldw >

The developers mainly earn their revenue through skins and aesthetics, and they are so good in doing so since they really can’t offer gameplay boosts for money.

With that, you can expect variations after variations of virtual aesthetic products, hence some of these are wallpapers and loading screens.

Now the thing is, it can be very difficult for you to check every single one of them since there’s just hundreds of them, and with that, we feel obliged to compile 10 of the best loading screens in the entire Dota 2 history!

10. Rustic Finery Loading Screen

Rustic Finery is just a simple skin set for Enchantress, though it’s unarguably cute.

You can get it for a very cheap price from the market or from Steam itself, and it comes with a loading screen – which turned out to be one of the best.

Rustic Finery Loading Screen only has a common rarity, but with cute Enchantress winking at you really makes a lot of difference. Remove the price and put this into bargain, for sure many will offer more for this masterpiece.

9. Rightful Heir Loading Screen

Next on our list comes from one of the most favorite among players – Rikimaru.

This stealth assassin is invisible more than 90% of the game, but not on this really badass loading screen.

Rikimaru’s selfie on this loading screen may looked a bit mediocre to some players, but the nice blend of colors in purple shading makes this loading screen really look elegant and badass.

8. Sanguine Royalty Loading Screen

A perfect depiction of the Queen of Pain – Akasha. Dota 2 lina skins for minecraft

Staring at this loading screen would grant you the imagination of how much of a saddist this queen is.

Sitting at her throne being complimented with a red shade background that seems to depict blood – this loading screen may just haunt you down if in a very good way.

7. Sinister Lightning Loading Screen

The next loading screen on our list features Invoker. Invoker is one of the most, if not the most difficult, hero in Dota 2.

This badass wizard have different build variations, and one of the most famous is the quas wex build, hence, you can clearly see on this loading screen that this is something the quas wex community will surely appreciate.

We can never be sure if the designer made this exclusively for the quas wex players, but if so, he really did a great job in doing so.

6. Vehement Plume Loading Screen

Another favorite among players – Lina. Dota 2 lina skins for minecraft

She who burns whichever she wishes, and when she is really serious – she can manipulate lightning and concentrate it to hit her opponents at light speed.

This loading screen however shows the charming s >

And though it is complimented with a flame background she probably painted herself, how it was done just makes this loading screen one of the best, and it is also one of the cheapest you can easily find in the market.

5. Flowersong Tempest Loading Screen

Without a doubt the most beautiful Windranger loading screen of all time. We all know that this very talkative, yet really strong heroine have so many great aesthetics on her arsenal.

She’s definitely one of the heroes who has the most aesthetic products created by Valve, and we can’t blame them because she’s just a very charming individual.

Well, not much to talk about her other aesthetics as they are unarguably great, but what will really get your attention is the Flowersong Tempest Loading Screen.

The loading screen is in the flower theme which literally speaks about her overall personality.

On top of that, the loading screen is also perfected with great green scenery showing her shoot multiple arrows at an unimaginable speed.

4. Flowering Shade Loading Screen

The loading screen that haunted many poor souls as the Spectre does not just stalk her targets, but also serves unimaginable fear that only those who experienced can fathom – if they were still alive.

The loading screen clearly shows how unmerciful she is with a dark background to show that the dark was never safe for anybody.

She’s one with darkness, an entity not of this world, a proof that when there is darkness – there is death – and this loading screen will remind you of that.

3. Hakobi and Tenneko Loading Screen

So much about badass heroes and strong characters, let us talk about pets this time.

This loading screen will make any pet lovers to try on playing Dota 2, hence the Hakobi and Tenneko Loading Screen is definitely one of a kind.

It features a pet dog which is actually a courier in the game.

If you are having too much stress playing the game, which is very common especially when losing, try out using this loading screen for a few hours, and you will realize how much this would make a difference in terms of relieving your stress.

2. Loading Screen of the Onyx Lotus

This loading screen features Lanaya – the Templar Assassin.

If you know her story, she’s more like the Lara Croft in Dota 2, solving mysteries and puzzles as she go along her journey.

She’s known for her deadly critical strikes that pierces the enemy’s armor, and she’s the kind of heroine who will wait patiently for the perfect timing to ambush her prey.

This loading screen however shows more of Lanaya’s bright side, someone who is full of light under the dark skies – just wandering to unravel mysteries that no human could ever comprehend.

1. The International Loading Screen

The main event every year among Dota 2 players; whether to those who will just watch or to those who will participate.

The very image of Dota 2; the aegis of immortal trophy with which only the best of the bests can ever carry – yet at least everyone can have the loading screen.

If you want to have that aesthetic feeling of participating in a TI tournament, then this loading screen might just be able to make you experience that.

Very simple, yet it signifies Dota 2 – a treasure every single Dota 2 player would dream to achieve in their lifetime.

General DiscussionIs DotA 2 dying?

u started an account to see your stats and posted on a forum for dota 2. so nope

if u’r 1k mmr u will feel that

I dont think that it is dead but my higher mmr friends believe it is dying. I honestly disagree but i’ve recently heard alot of people agreeing.

Dead game for sure, people living patch to patch on meta heroes but fun died in this game a long time ago.

higher mmr friends believe it is dying.

can you please tell me what you see as higher mmr friends.

yeah inhouses should come back other than that the games fine

we also need to keep in mind that unfortunately our opinions as 5k+ players are kinda irrelevant in the great scheme cuz we’re just 0.1% of the playerbase, the fucking 2k normies are the ones who decide if the game is dying or not

No. People are just way too dramatic.

been dead for a long time now

1 million players at the same time, 12 million monthly users
It’s not been higher, so if anything it’s growing.

Just look at statistics instead of asking autisitc people on a dota forum

Can someone party with me guys? I’m just a 2.7 scrub and I really want to get out of that bracket. I’m willing to learn. Thanks

12 million players 2 weeks ago
Gained 200k new players til today

idk m8 but im back on my losing streak for this patch again.

prize pools that shit on any other game’s tournaments.

Hell, LoL’s grand-fancy-worldchampionship prizepool is shat on by smaller majors.

Up to TI4 the game was perfect after that its just been Inbalance after Inbalance
PA spamm followed by Sniper / troll spamm Storm spamm followed by Windrunner spamm followed by Huskar spamm

ratting is a bit back now but was dead up till now since TI4
And teampush aswell

it seems like carry being carrying is back a bit too instead of the of The solo mid carrying everything.

Still its a bit of patches to go to get back to the good old days where you could play varius diffrent styles and still have a 50/50 shot at winning instead of The play carrying solo mid with husk or wr (metashit) or only 5% change to win.

Dead game would be game that has no player base and no tournaments whatsoever, there is no acctual dead. Dota 2 is not even close to dead and new players are always emerging, maybe young players are not used to dead games so they think game is dead even it is not. Getting online, having 100 active friends in all mmr ranges is kinda alive. Maybe problem is on higher levels, or on pro level, but it is understandable, since not many players can achieve that level and join that club, so it seems dead specially when some of them stop playing or leave for other game.

Personally I think it has already reached its peak at TI5 and now slowly declining

If decline is case, we would see dota 3 coming out, not new patches. It might be normal that there is loss in interest between two TI’s. Let’s wait and see what happens when hype kicks in. Game slike Dota 2 that are so much releveant in e-sports and have such huge amount of money involved do not just ‘die’.

^they just introduced dota3 (=dota 2 reborn)

its dieing personally for me. i think a lot of players become frustrated by the weak ranking system and boring meta plays.

i just have to find a game, which can replace dota. Dota 2 on streaming mb the division, once it comes out in march. looks promising anyways.

But it is still dota2 with new interface. Sorry, didn’t know it counts as new dota game. Rank system has it flaws for sure, game meta changes, some heros from top tier picks go back to mid or low, it is how it is. You can always say good bye to dota and come back whenever you like, start from 0 and find way to enjoy it, but I doubt it will die so easily.

Meta sapm has been present since forever. Nightmares of 6.57 DP and Necro still haunt me. Morph in 6.64. Zombie post rework. etc.

Game was actually dying during reborn beta, and post reborn release due to people being unfamiliar with the main menu, hipsters complaining that the old one was better (when it’s NOT, the old one was super basic, good, but too basic)(arcade mode is amazing) and all the bugs and glitches that came with reborn dropped the population, now numbers are high again.

I don’t get how people can say TI 2 and 3 had more players, uh, it didn’t, I didn’t play back then, but the statistics are there, game has grown ALOT. Prize money for tournaments is higher, MOBAS are STILL ON THE RISE (hence why tons of moba clones are coming out like crazy) PC gaming is on the rise (Dota or counter strike usually being the first games people hear of on Steam) Also, when the International 2011 was happening, Twitch was barely being born, and the game didn’t get nearly as much coverage back then as it does now. (seeing as Twitch is now main stream, and everyone has a Twitch account these days)

Many many casuals play games for the first time cause they thought it looked interesting when watching it on Twitch, Twitch has done ALOT more for gaming than people think.
Game is fine.

Looks 2 me like the game is just growing! Sure some people have given up on the game, but they should be ignored. There’ll always be players passionate about dota, just as there’ll be people who are shall we say less keen on the game. I normally play by myself now, as my friends have started playing less or moved away, but I still have a gr8 time every game! There are some complete dickheads but a lot of gr8 people & there always will be.
Dying or otherwise, it’s a personal choice 2 play the game.

Alliance vs. Na’Vi – will we see another ‘El Classico of Dota 2’ at TI9?

El Classico

Both teams have a long history in Dota 2 and won the Aegis once. Na’Vi is the first squad to ever lift the coveted trophy and Alliance was the first European squad to win TI. Matchups between the world-class teams Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, Team Liquid or OG could be considered to be the new generation of El Classicos – true super teams that fight incredible battles whenever they meet.

However, one true classic will always be the one between Na’Vi and Alliance, because of one historic match in 2013.

Still the best TI Grand Finals of all time?

It has always been considered to be the best TI Grand Finals of all time. Both teams were battling for the trophy at The International 2013.

Bringing back all that memories and feelings from back then is impossible. So let’s keep it short: Alliance was the favourite of the tournament and they actually made it through the tournament without losing up until the Grand Finals where they faced Na’Vi a second time. They already beat the Ukrainian team in the Upper Bracket Finals in a dominating fashion 2-0. Nobody was expecting Na’Vi to actually stand a chance against the Swedes.

Game one was proof of that: Alliance won in 15 minutes – what a stomp. However, Na’Vi fought back and took the lead. They just had to win one more game for their second TI championship. Alliance, on the other hand, remained calm and found new ways to tie and then even take the series.

Maybe PSG. LGD vs. OG was a better game last year, but for most oldschool fans it will always be the Grand Finals of 2013 that is the pinnacle of TI Dota. Na vi dota 2 memories pizza

Na’Vi is slightly ahead

However, the Grand Finals were not the only battle these legends fought – otherwise it wouldn’t be an El Classico of Dota 2, right? In fact, both teams played exactly 100 games against each other in more than six years. Who would have thought, but it’s almost even: Na’Vi won 52 of these matches, Alliance 48.

In 2014 and 2015 they played particularly often against each other. Only one thing changed over time: both teams got weaker and were not considered top-notch teams any more. Everytime, one of them had a mediocre success people would immediately joke: Is Alliance back? Is Na’Vi back? They were lacking the confidence and skill of earlier years. Players changed, rosters changed and by now, none of these legendary players of old is actively playing for their organisation – not even Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin.

Only three players of the two 2013 rosters are still on a top level: Kuro S. ‘KuroKy’ Takhasomi and Clement ‘Puppey’ Ivanov. The only players in the Dota 2 scene that attended every TI and Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson who could win his second Aegis with EG.

A new era to start

But things changed: for the first time since The International 2016 both teams are back at TI. Alliance started a new era with five young and talented players. Jonathan ‘Loda’ Berg, the old legend, is leading them as a coach.

It took the Swedish organisation a while to find their way into the DPC, but this season was a success. In the end, Alliance finished in the top 12 of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit and earned a direct invite to TI9.

Na’Vi also restructured their squad at the beginning of the season. They benched good old Dendi and have built a new roster surrounding Akbar ‘SoNNeikO’ Butaev. They had a lot of shaky performances throughout the season, but in the most important moment Na’Vi struck against their opponents in the CIS qualifier and won.

We don’t know if they’ll end up in one group or if they are going to face in the playoffs. But just the thought of seeing two renewed sides brings back the old flair: Na’Vi vs. Alliance – the El Classico of Dota 2.

Dota 2 Beyond The Summit is Cancelled

The new Dota 2 calendar of tournaments had eleven Dota 2 Major tournaments scheduled. That schedule also included Dota 2 Beyond the Summit. However, things have changed and this year, Dota 2 season will feature ten Major tournaments as it was announced that Beyond the Summit has been cancelled just a couple of days ago. In the last couple of years, Beyond the Summit has been one of the most interesting Dota 2 tournaments in the entire season and players loved this tournament.

However, this season, things will be different as the organizers had a lot of problems with finding partners for the organization of the event.

The Lack of Partners

Even though Beyond the Summit is a very strong eSports organization based in Los Angeles, they are not capable of organizing Dota 2 Major without big partners that have been contributing to the event in the last couple of years. According to some reports, the biggest issue appeared during the negotiations with Next Generation Esports or NGE. Currently, NGE is the biggest production company in eSports industry and they are currently the sole provider of the coverage of Rocket League official competitions.

David ‘LD’ Gorman, the co-founder of Beyond the Summit, has officially confirmed that there will be no Dota 2 Beyond the Summit Major tournament this season. According to his statement, both Beyond the Summit and Next Generation Esports have been in talks about organizing the Dota 2 Major in March next year. However, it turned out that the organization of that tournament did not make any sense for either company which seems a bit strange considering the popularity of Dota 2 competitions in the entire world.

It seems that the biggest problem was related to the financial aspect of the tournament. Both BTS and NGE did not see a point in organizing such an expensive tournament. The problem appeared when Valve decided to increase the number of Major tournaments which meant that organizers would have to secure much bigger prize pools.

The Reduction of Qualification Points

With the new system of competition, Valve has introduced the qualification points for The International 8. Considering that Major Dota 2 tournaments featured a huge number of those points, the cancellation of one Major will significantly impact the number of available points for the team. The importance of Major tournaments was demonstrated a couple of weeks ago when Virtus. pro won ESL One Hamburg Major and took the first place in the standings for the International 8.

So far, Valve has not commented on this issue and it is possible that there will be some other organizer who will be stepping in and taking over the dates that were reserved for Beyond the Summit. However, it seems that there are no interesting sides for the organization of Dota 2 Major at least at this time which means that there will be ten Dota 2 Major tournaments this year.

Beyond the Summit has announced that other eSports events that they will be organized will be organized according to the previously determined plans and that no other eSports will be cancelled by them.

How To Watch the Dota 2 International 2019 (TI9)

Why this year’s Invitational is such a big deal, and where you can catch the action

For the first time since its debut at GamesCom in 2011, the Dota 2 International will be leaving North America. Dota 2 wk program The highest paying esports tournament of the year will be hosted from August 15-25, 2019 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. Dota 2 wk program

Other than the new location, here’s why the 2019 Dota 2 International is such a big deal:

SO. MUCH. MONEY.

Through the sheer force of will of its fans and players, Dota 2 remains a powerhouse in the yearly esports calendar. For the last nine years the Dota 2 International has broken records for the single largest prize pool of any esports event. EVER.

Last year’s International reached a record high $25 million dollars, and this year’s crowdfunded prize pool has already exceeded it, at $27 million and growing.

The success of Fortnite means Dota will have to fight harder to stay on top, since Epic Games recently raised the bar with a combined $30M prize pool for the Fortnite World Cup. Though the Fortnite solo champion will take home $3M in July, the winning Dota 2 International team will easily clear over $10M.

The Stakes

There’s a lot riding on this year’s International. The Dota community has long speculated about what could happen to the game’s staying power should the prize pool dip below years past (which it has now exceeded). Many fans still haven’t shaken off memories from the disastrous Dota Major held in Shanghai at the same venue in 2016, either.

All things considered, 2019’s International is going to be a turning point for the professional Dota 2 scene, and you’re not going to want to miss it.

Before diving in on the best ways to check out The International, you might need a quick refresher on how to make sense of a Dota match. Check out our primer to wrap your head around the basics.

How to Watch the Tournament:

Method 1: In person!

The best way to see any esports event is always in person. If you weren’t lucky enough to grab tickets when they went on sale in May, keep an eye on places like /r/dota2 or your favourite Dota community’s Discord server. People will often sell tickets for face value if they can’t make it for one reason or another.

Be wary of ticket resale sites, however, as there’s often no guarantee of what you’re getting and the prices can be grossly inflated.

Method 2: Host A Watch Party

The International has always been a terrific venue for meeting up with your 5-stack and spending an entire week geeking out on Dota, but heading all the way to Shanghai might be out of some people’s price range. So why not host your own watch party?

Pick someone’s house, or rent an Airbnb with enough space for everyone. Just make sure they’ve got all the amenities you need like a big TV and decent internet. You’ll be set!

The best thing about this is you don’t even have to go someplace fancy or expensive. Pick a state. ANY state. One of the middle ones is probably fine.

Get your friends to pack their bags and get ready for 10 days of non-stop Dota! Maybe S4 will stop by. Source: GIPHY

The worst thing about traveling to a tournamnent is going back to your hotel room and not being able to play Dota after getting so hyped up watching it all day. Get everyone to bring a gaming rig and you’ll be grinding MMR and Auto Chess when the day’s events wrap up.

Just again, make sure the place you’re staying at can handle that many PCs in the living room. Maybe pack some extension cords and power strips, just in case.

Method 3: A Show Within A Show

Keep an eye on what other studios and talent might be getting up to during TI9. The folks at Moonduck have plans to put together a live rebroadcast event for the North American audience, which could be really cool if it works out.

Any of your favourite Dota streamers that weren’t invited to Shanghai will probably be casting, re-capping, or live-commenting on the International as well, so you’ll be able to find something under Twitch’s Dota 2 directory between August 15th-25th.

Time Zones Suck

Hardcore fans will definitely want to screw up their sleep schedules to keep up with the matches as they’re happening. You’ll be able to catch the broadcast on the International’s official Twitch channel with games starting around 4am EST (1am PST) and finishing around 1pm EST (10am PST). Times will vary depending on that day’s schedule.

Make sure you stock up on snacks. Source: GIPHY

For the rest of us, we’ll definitely be able to check out the VODs, highlights, and rebroadcasts on Twitch and YouTube when we wake up.

Tip: Not watching live? If you’re paranoid about spoilers, be wary of social media. Dota 2 wk program Turn off notifications for specific Discord channels, block Reddit on your browser, and mute Dota and TI9 related hashtags where you can.

Otherwise you should be set to enjoy one of the biggest esports events of the year. Just find a way to watch that works for you, then sit back and enjoy the memes, the drama, and every awkward SirActionSlacks segment.

The Art of Warding

Being a support player myself, warding has always been a huge part of my gameplay. Having a good vision around the map or making an important de-ward always gave me huge pleasure. In today’s article, I want to discuss with you the process of warding, common mistakes, timings and much more.

Let’s start with the basics.

Table of contents

Part 1: Early-game warding

Observer Ward costs 50 gold, while Sentry Ward costs 75 gold. The gold required to purchase wards was lowered from patch to patch, and now both Observer and Sentry Wards are easily affordable for players in all positions. However, warding is still associated exclusively with supports.

So, why do you buy wards? Observer Wards can be used to give vision over the area or to block neutral camps from spawning. Sentry Wards can also be used to block camps, but mostly they are used to destroy enemy Observer Wards and reveal invisible heroes or units.

1. How many wards to buy at the beginning of the game? Where to place them?

These questions might seem simple, but many players have troubles with early wards.

a) Ward in the middle lane.

This ward is out of the question, the most important to place at the beginning of the game. Having the ward in the middle lane will help your midlaner to control the lane better. Try to place it as soon as possible to avoid it getting spotted.

Tip: When you play for Radiant, there are several spots behind the trees, which you can use to place wards safely.

b) Ward in the safelane.

This is where many players, especially in low ranks, make a mistake. Having Observer Ward in the safelane is not a requirement. You need to get the ward for the safelane in two cases:

you are going to lane against a hero, who can harm you by using the Fog of War, for example, Pudge(Meat Hook), Mirana(Sacred Arrow), Keeper of the Light(Illuminate) and Techies(Proximity Mines, Suic >

c) Ward in the offlane.

As meta switched heavily to 2/1/2 lanes, it is no longer necessary to give the Observer Ward to your offlaner. Do it either only if it is necessary for him to block the neutral camp, or in case he is going to lane against a tri-lane.

d) Anti-roamer ward.

In case you play against a very powerful roamer, such as Earthshaker or Earth Spirit, it can be very useful to place a ward, which would spot his rotations to the middle lane.

Most of the times getting only one Observer Ward is absolutely fine. Use extra gold to get yourself additional Faerie Fire, Clarity or Enchanted Mango. Having extra consumables can have a huge impact during the laning stage. Make sure to get second Observer Ward if it will be necessary.

It is important to purchase a Sentry Ward if you are going to lane against a hero with invisibility, such as Treant Protector, Sand King, Riki and Bounty Hunter.

2. The first nighttime. A most important part of the game for the warding.

Lack of movement is the biggest issue of supports in low ranks. Lack of movement also equals lack of good vision around the map. The first nighttime is a time when heroes start to rotate around the map actively. This is why it is very important to provide good vision for your teammates, to avoid them getting ganked.

Ideally, you should aim to bring x2 Observer Wards right before the nighttime begins. Good support should be multitasking, so as nighttime starts at 5:00, you should try to take Bounty Runes and then place the first Observer Ward in the nearby cliff near the enemy tier-1 Tower, and then make a rotation to the middle lane to place the second ward there.

The better you get, the more you can adjust your ward positions, so it would be harder for enemy support to de-ward them.

While you place these wards, you should keep in mind that the enemy support wants to have the perfect vision himself as well. This is why it is very important to get yourself several Sentry Wards and check the most common warding spots.

3. Objective wards.

After the laning stage ends, you and your team should start playing around key objectives of the game, such as Towers and Bounty Runes.

To have an easier time sieging towers, it is very effective to place vision behind them.

Radiant:

Keep in mind, as it is very important to provide good vision in all stages of the game, it is especially necessary to do in the early-game. Thanks to perfect vision, your team can gain the advantage and then use it to win the game easily.

Enable console in Dota 2. In game, go to Settings > Options > To Advanced Options > Enable Console

Start practice with bots in Solo Mode

During the picking phase, open the console by pressing the backslash key (\) and enter the command:

You must type in the heroes’ gamefile name (see below) after the “npc_dota_hero_”.

Example: dota_bot_force_pick npc_dota_hero_luna

This makes the first bot (from left to right) pick Luna. Como pular o tutorial dota 2

For multiple force picks, the “npc_dota_hero_” commands should be separated by a comma (,).

Example: dota_bot_force_pick npc_dota_hero_luna, npc_dota_hero_sven, npc_dota_hero_crysta_maiden

This makes the first 3 bots (from left to right) pick Luna, Sven and Crystal Maiden respectively.

You can force pick heroes for up to 9 bots (4 for your team and 5 for the opposing team).

Bots only pick from a pool of 39 heroes so if you choose heroes that is not listed below it will result in a bug.

IMPORTANT.
• If you are on the Radiant team, there is currently NO way to force pick for Dire bots only. You MUST force pick Radiant bots first.
• But you are on the Dire team, you can force pick bots for the Radiant team only buy entering only 5 “npc_dota_hero_” commands.
• For the force pick order to work, you MUST enter the command and ENTER THE GAME before the bots start picking (usually starts the 45-second mark)
otherwise the heroes you entered will be assigned to bots randomly.
• So it is best to type the command first on notepad (or any typing apps) with the heroes’ gamefile name already and just copy/paste it in the console window.

Listed below are the available heroes’ gamefile name for bots:
