Updated: Miracle – to miss the Chongqing Major

Liquid has released a statement that this is a private matter for Miracle and they do not want to discuss it further right now.

The rumour that it is visa related appears to be false.

Liquid
to play with standin at the Major

Update 16/1 15:15 CET:
Team Liquid has provided us with a comment on the situation saying “Miracle has a private, personal matter to take care of. He is a very private person so we’re not revealing what it is right now.”

Reports have come in that Team Liquid will have to play The Chongqing Major without their starplayer Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi. Information is scarce at the moment but this seems to be a last minute change as no information regarding this has been released by StarLadder, Valve, or Team Liquid themselves before today. At this point in time the closest to a full confirmation we have comes from Chinese carry player Chu “shadow” Zeyu, most known for winning TI6 with Wings Gaming, who edited his Doyu stream title to “I’ll be back after playing for Liquid in the Major”. Russian caster V1lat also tweeted out that Miracle – did not arrive in China with his team.

No matter what the reason is for Miracle’s absence from the tournament, Liqu >

I am confused, you created a topic with the title “Miracle – to miss the Chongqing Major” and now you are saying it might not be true?

I usually assume that threads that are on the Community News section of the frontpage of Liquiddota are confirmed, especially if its a topic about a Liquid player/team.

I would be very happy to be wrong though.

He said that the connection between “major in China” and “Miracle missing” is pure speculation.
You were talking about miracle getting randomly banned, which is just entirely unfounded.

Never Give Up, Never Surrender: Patch 6.82 Initial Reactions

Galaxy Quest: arguably one of the best movies of all time. Arguably.

RIP Dota

Previously, Kawaiisocks covered in detail some of the biggest hero changes in this patch. We purposely omitted talking about one of the biggest upheavals of Dota in its history: the changes to bounty experience and gold. In short, to summarize the arithmetic, you gain more gold and experience when you are behind. This makes it easier to come back from a deficit than before, and in early 6.82, often times one team fight could excessively rebound your disadvantage to an advantage.

An early 6.82 game of mine with Spectre. An abandon gave the enemy team a significant XP and Gold advantage, but the kill XP/Gold mid game put me in the threshold for some crucial items. One kill rocketed my gold from 3k to 5.5k. Just within reach for that Radiance.

Since then, 6.82 has undergone further refinements, scaling back the rewards for netting a kill from behind. It will take some time before we can make any conclusions about the patch, but it’s no question that the spirit of these changes have altered Dota more than any other patch in recent memory. Let’s take a look at one of the largest benefactors of 6.82. Take a guess whose these next graphs these belong to.

The Next Faceless Void

Spectre’s win rate and popularity graph

Spectre received a minor buff to Spectral Dagger’s movement speed, but it doesn’t account for one of the largest increases in win rates we’ve seen for any patch. Her win rate has increased from 51 to 62%–at one point being the winningest hero in the game (that position is currently held by Omniknight. More on that later).

Patch 6.82 rewards killing when you’re at a deficit. And whether you’re ahead or behind, Spectre is one of the best heroes to clean up a team fight. Her ultimate, Haunt, allows her to engage in any team fight. Her builds are flexible–you can favor an urn/drums/phase boots build or go greedy for that quick Radiance. But what has changed is that now you have the time and money to get what you need.

With 6.82, there’s this omnipresent feeling that if you’re in the lead, you’re on thin ice. One spoiled team fight can turn a game, and Spectre can take advantage of any opportunity that comes up.

Phantom Assassin’s win rate

Phantom Assassin got a rework to Blur, but she is not only the beneficiary of the changes to the late game, but also the nerfs to Doom and Duel, which no longer disable passives. Her win rate has risen from 47 to 52%. Will she be the next Faceless Void?

The New King of Pubs

We’ll have to wait for the dust to settle before we stitch together a Pub Tier List for 6.82, but for now I’m sure Sir Action Slacks will be happy to see that Omniknight currently sits as the hero with the highest win rate at nearly 64%.

Again, like Spectre, Omniknight’s buffs were minor, like a nudge from Icefrog saying, “remember me? I’m a good hero.” Of course, we all know Omniknight is a good hero. In 6.81, he was 3rd in win rate at 56%. But perhaps due to laning dynamics he was rarely seen in competitive play.

If we think about how 6.82 rewards greedy picks and late game heroes, Omniknight is one of the premiere late game supports. His ultimate scales into the late game, barring enemy Diffusal Blades, and his kit is always useful. With BKB limited to 5 seconds and unable to be refreshed, Repel becomes one of the strongest spells in the game.

Most importantly, Omniknight keeps your team alive. He keeps your carry alive for that delicious bounty gold and experience. Pubs have always underestimated Omniknight’s skills. They’re bemused when they cant cast spells on a repelled hero. They try to right click under Guardian Angel. And now in 6.82 those errors will become even more disastrous.

The Losers

Post TI4, Tinker got the Morphling treatment after TI3. edit: Morphling nerf was after TI2

He received nerfs to Ethereal Blade, Dagon, and to cap it off, he can no longer farm ancients. Many pros agreed that he deserved some changes, but he’s now in a pitiful state, sitting at a win rate of 40.16%, right between Enchantress and Earth Spirit at the bottom.

Next is another pub favorite: Nature’s Prophet.

His win rate dropped by 5% from 46 to 41%. Nature’s Call received a nerf to magic resistance, but what really happened was that towers got stronger. Less gold for towers, a new fortification after every Tier 1 tower, and stronger Tier 2 towers reduced his potency in the early and mid game.

We also see similar drops in win rate across other pushing oriented heroes, such as Pugna (48->45%), Enchantress (42-40%), and Chen (42-40%).

One final graph that I’m happy to post:

Doom’s plummeting win rate

Doom no longer disables passives, and an increase to its cast point makes it harder to hit blinking heroes. KawaiiSocks has talked about how this change to Doom (and Duel) is underestimated. It’s an indirect buff to heroes like Anti-Mage, Spectre, Phantom Assassin, Faceless Void. dear god. maybe one day we’ll wish we had the old Doom back to slap these heroes around.

Balanced Heroes

We didn’t get any new heroes this patch (though Techies may be enough for awhile), but several heroes got complete reworks: Riki, Bloodseeker, and Phantom Lancer.

We’ll wait a little to give a more extensive review on their ability builds. However, there is one new, notable mechanic.

There are many combos that can instagib heroes, but few can pop every hero on the map. It seems like an auto win for Zeus+Bloodseeker, but currently Bloodseeker has seen the largest drop in win rate of all the new hero reworks, dropping from 52 to 47%.

New Meta

Whether we like these changes or not, we’re still going to play the damn game. In some ways it’s more fun to feel like you can win a game that seems lost in the first 10 minutes. Some may criticize the patch as making Dota more casual, more like another game, but Dota did have its moments where a game was lost early, and the rest of the game felt like a slow, excruciating end.

At TI4 we had shorter games than any other tournament. The final game ended before any towers were taken. As a spectator and a player, the best games are the ones that go back and forth, filled with tension throughout. This patch seems to be enabling that spirit. We’ve yet to see whether these changes will result in safer, farm fests, or whether the rubberband mechanics will result in dynamic, rousing games. Either way, it will be something new, and something to look forward to.

What Is Dota 2 Stuttering and How to Fix It?

Ever since Valve introduced its highly anticipated 7.00 Update for Dota 2, players have been reporting issues linked to the infamous Dota 2 Stuttering. This issue was somewhat fixed with the previous updates, however, it has now made a return to the MOBA. More so, with the game now running update 7.08, reports suggest the Dota 2 fps stutter issue still persist in the game.

Gamers from across the globe have been reporting instances related to the infamous Dota 2 stutter issue. Consequently, Dota 2 players are on the brink of leaving the game forever, as, for them, it is currently unplayable. However, for all of you, who are affected by this issue, I have some good news for you.

@DOTA2 your dota 2 servers are taking a dump right now stutter / slow motion constantly nonstop ingame

my Dota 2 client have been stuttering in the last 2 weeks, despite low ping… no idea why

It seems there is a way to get rid of the Dota 2 fps stutter, one which is easier to apply and has positives effects. But before I delve into the details, let’s first get a firm grasp on what the stuttering issue is?

Dota 2 Fps Stutter

According to the reports, Dota 2 fps stutter is a sort of a lag spike which freezes the game for a second or so, after a specific period of time, or when things get intense. And since Dota 2 is a game where a single second can have the greatest of impacts, you can just understand how frustrating the stutter can get. For more visual understanding, check out the video below:

By looking at the video above, you can clearly see that playing under the effect of the Dota 2 stuttering issue, is quite difficult. As a result, a fix for this is much needed. However, the fix for this issue isn’t as simple as changing a couple of settings as it is linked to lag. This means there are a lot of things which can be responsible for the Dota 2 fps stutter.

Dota 2 Stuttering Lag Fix

The Dota 2 stutter issue is a product of the lag, the root cause behind this could be linked to factors such as the game’s system requirements and your gaming rig’s performance. However, since I have already covered that in the Kill Ping Dota 2 Lag articles, I would not want to double dip on this matter. So, before you scroll down, I will advise you to check out the Dota 2 lag guide .

  • Make sure all of the drivers on your computer are up-to-date, especially the ones for your GPU
  • Close down any background application which is either using up your internet or is using up a lot of your system’s space
  • Scan and defrag all of the drives, especially the ones where Dota 2 and Steam are located
  • Lower your graphics and v >Bid Farewell to Dota 2 Stuttering Once and For All

Kill Ping is a gaming VPN that features dedicated servers for almost every online game which allow players to play the game without any lag or delays. In other words, Kill Ping is the perfect fix for dealing with this issue.

Players from all over the world have tried out Kill Ping and have enjoyed smooth gaming experience like never before with increased FPS, reduced lag, and spikes. So, if you are the one who wishes to lay waste to Dota 2 stuttering once and for all, I would highly recommend you to give Kill Ping a try. It is one of the best options for online gamers. For more details on the ping boosting VPN, check out the official website.

LD announces he’s no longer a full-time dota Caster

There’s been some confusion over BTS and my role in the company, so in true DOTA fashion I decided to write a blog to clear the air a bit with the community.

I am not a full-time DOTA caster, and I have not been for quite some time now.

To some, this may seem obvious. To others, it may come as a surprise. In any case, perhaps a little explanation is in order.

I started casting DOTA

6 years ago, in January 2012. That year was a whirlwind ride. Scarcely eight months after I started, both Godz and I had worked the second International and made a bit of a name for ourselves as casters in the fledgling DOTA scene. Emboldened by our success but with no clue what the future held, we decided to roll the dice, drop all our commitments, and move out to Los Angeles with support from the community to found BTS as an esports company focused on DOTA 2 casting and coverage.

From the founding of BTS through the first DOTA Summits, DOTA was my life. If I wasn’t casting, I was watching, playing, or studying the game. Perhaps the pinnacle of my personal obsession came in 2014, when I cast an Asian event for 12 hours (most of it solo), took a 2 hour nap, and woke up to cast another 12 hours of Starladder. By the second day of this grind, I was literally so tired that I slept through 5 alarms and only eventually awoke to the sound of my (rather angry) roommate banging on the door.

Frankly, it wasn’t very healthy. I sacrificed having a social life, eating properly, exercising, sleep, and generally taking care of myself. But I poured myself into DOTA and into casting, both because I loved it and because it was what our startup needed at the time.

Over the last few years, things changed. The industry evolved, our company evolved, and my role within the company has evolved alongside it. Today, we’re not just the DOTA 2 casting studio we were 6 years ago; we’re a full-fledged esports production company.

Don’t get me wrong. Although BTS has grown a lot, we are still one of the smallest companies in the space compared to the likes of ELeague, ESL, and Dreamhack. I know a fair number of DOTA fans have this image of BTS as some large corporate monolith, but the truth is we have a small team of dedicated and awesome full-time staff, all of whom I love dearly and count myself very lucky indeed to have as good friends.

In 2015, as BTS expanded beyond just being a DOTA 2 casting studio, I struck a balance between casting and running the business. (Truthfully, it’s always been a juggling act, but I suppose you could say the juggling intensified!) That worked for awhile, but somewhere along the way, I found myself stretched very thin. I simply didn’t have time to cast and follow DOTA full-time the way I used to.

I gradually started to feel that I was doing a disservice to the community, and so I began to focus more on running BTS and less on casting. Gradually, I stepped back. I never really commented on it publicly, because this wasn’t a eureka moment that happened overnight. It was a dawning realization that crept up on me slowly over a period of years, as the needs of our company continued to grow and the time I had available to cast continued to shrink.

Today, my focus is on building and growing BTS as a sustainable business. That means making sure the company is financially successful, so that everyone who works here can be paid properly and have decent healthcare. It means making sure everyone works reasonable hours and gets time off to spend with their loved ones. We want to make the esports career path a viable option for good and talented people without requiring them to sacrifice their health or personal well-being as we did to get here.

Sometimes, this means working on projects that are not DOTA. We do love this game, and we will continue to run events and create new content for it. However, to be blunt, it would be extremely irresponsible of us to those who work here and depend on us for their livelihoods to focus solely on a single game. There’s not a single major company in esports who has been around as long as ours who does that. That’s not because they lack passion, because they don’t care, or because they are greedy. It is simply because diversifying your portfolio is a smart and responsible strategy to ensure you will be around for the long haul.

But while DOTA is no longer all that we do, this community still has our hearts. Ever since David and I began this journey back in 2012, the DOTA community has shown us incredible support and passion. I know I speak for both of us when I say how unbelievably grateful we are for that. We know we wouldn’t be where we are without you.

I gave the better part of 6 years of my life to casting this crazy, infuriating, but ultimately beautiful game of ours, and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. If I could do it all over again, knowing I would relive all the sleepless nights, hate threads, heartache, and moments where I failed or fell short (yes, even the infamous WAOW), I would. In a heartbeat.

I’ve been fortunate enough to cast some of the most memorable moments in DOTA 2 history, and I hope that you’ve enjoyed sharing them with me as much as I’ve enjoyed bringing them to you. I still love this community, and I earnestly hope to sneak in an appearance casting whenever I can.

I realize that writing this post may kill my chances of getting invited to another International. But I have never cast simply for the sake of getting invited to TI, and I never will. I consider most of the DOTA talent to be my close friends, and the last thing I ever want is to feel like I am stealing a spot from a friend who truly deserves it, especially when I know I am no longer able to devote myself to the game the same way they do.

You are all in very capable hands. We are blessed in DOTA with a deep well of talent, and I know folks like ODPixel, Lyrical, Blitz, Fogged, Trent, Winter, Jack, Cap, Toby, SirActionSlacks, Purge, GrandGrant, Xyclopz, Godz (and Synderen) will continue to bring you the perfect blend of hype, analysis, and dank memes that top-notch DOTA deserves.

Finally, I’d like to just state for the record that we know there is lots of room for BTS to grow and improve, especially with regards to our 3rd party qualifier coverage and developing new DOTA products. While I can’t promise everything will change exactly the way you might hope for overnight, I can promise that everyone here at BTS is listening and will keep on working hard to do better for you. We have some exciting new projects in DOTA under development that I think you guys will really enjoy, and I look forward to sharing those with you soon.

Dota 2 ranked placement matches league

Dota 2 ranked placement matches league

Dota 2 ranked placement matches league

Season 8 starts Jan 16 – What does it mean for you?

The new season is about to begin, this means a whole lot of changes are about to come your way. Season resets in the past have brought major updates, however, nothing too big has been planned for season 8.

Rank reset

As always, a new season will carry a wave of rank resets for the whole player base. This means all ranks earned in Season 7 will be wiped out, but don’t worry, your previous season rank will still mean something, so all is not lost.
After you finish patching on the 16th of January, you will be ‘unranked’. To get a rank in Season 8, everyone will be forced to go through 10 placement matches which will decide what division/rank you’ll get placed in. However, these placement matches have a bias towards your season 7 ranking / MMR (matchmaking rating), meaning higher ranks with the same placement scores will be assigned a higher starting rank than those with a lower season 7 MMR / rank.

For example:

Bronze 5 (Season 7) > Goes 5 wins & 5 losses > Bronze 4-5

(Season 8)
Gold 1 (Season 7) > Goes 5 wins & 5 losses > Gold 3-4

How to do placement matches

Placement matches are still the usual ranked games format; however, they count MUCH more. This is because a single win/loss can shift your whole division by 1-2 ranks, 5x

the effect of normal ranked games.
To further boost your MMR / initial rank for the start of season 8, it’s recommended you duo with those you know can perform, after all, you REALLY want to win these first 10 games. Even better, try queue with friends that have a higher rank or avoid duos with those who are two or three ranks below you as that’ll lower your MMR.

Honor reset

Along with ranked reset, honor level for MOST players will reset. This time, Riot has punished those who currently are, or recently have been dishonorable, by making those ‘Honor rank 2’ or below, stay where they are. This means ‘dishonorable’ or ‘Honor level 1’ players will have to earn their way back to the base ‘Honor level 2’ which most of the community will reset to.

Similarly to the rank reset, the honor reset will also boost better ranked players with a more advantageous start. Riot has introduced new ‘checkpoints’ to make it easier for players to determine how close they are to leveling up. While most will still start at honor level 2, players having a higher honor rank in Season 7 will start on a higher checkpoint. The higher your checkpoint, the closer you are to ranking up.

Dishonorable > Dishonorable
Honor level 1 > Honor level 1
Honor level 2 > Honor level 2
Honor level 3 > Honor level 2, check point 1
Honor level 4 > Honor level 2, check point 2
Honor level 5 > Honor level 2, check point 3

Any big changes?

Doesn’t seem like there’ll be any game breaking changes like a new summoners rift or new queues like they’ve done in the past, but they’re likely to make some big rebalancing changes to the runes system to prevent everyone from picking ‘press the attack’ or ‘arcane comet’.

As a fairly decent change, honor levels as mentioned before now have checkpoints. Raising your honor level has never been more incentivized, as every checkpoint and rank you break gives you prizes such as blue essence, champion shards and at the end, even the Grey Warwick and Medieval Twitch skins.

Dota 2 graphics settings for low end pc pcsx2

Dota 2 graphics settings for low end pc pcsx2

Dota 2 graphics settings for low end pc pcsx2

Dota 2 graphics settings for low end pc pcsx2

I have assumed that you have low end PC and low end Internet and you may be knowing many of the stuff earlier. If you know anything, skip to next step.

Even if you have high specs PC and fast internet, there are still some stuff which can be useful for you. You can implement as many steps as possible or as you wish.
This will ensure that you have a smooth gaming experience.

I. Hard Disk Defragmentation
If we talk in easy language, Information is stored in form of small boxes on your hard drive.
So for example if Dota 2 is distributed on 25 boxes, then these 25 boxes will be scattered over whole hard disk. So de-fragmentation allows you to combine all those boxes in 1 part of your Hard Drive for smooth working of game.

Here is how we do it-
1. Go to My Computer
2. Right click on C Drive and from drop down menu, select “Properties“.
3. Go to “Tools” tab and select “Optimize“.
4. Another new window will open. Select the the drive in which Dota 2 is installed and click on Optimize.
5. Give it some time, it may take from 1 hour to 5 hours depending upon size of your hard disk and you are done.

Each time Dota 2 Crashes, it creates a crash dump report file in case you want to report the issue to steam or whatever reason they got. Size of each file is almost 35 MB. So just make a guess how much space that can create on your hard disk after every 6 months ?

First time I cleaned those files I freed up 2.3 GB of space form my Dota 2 folder. Again after almost 3 months this size has swelled up to almost 850 MBs.

You can remove all these files with “.mdmp” extension.
Do not worry it does not create any issue, I tested it my self. You can locate those files in C :/Program Files (x86)/Steam /SteamApps/Comom/dota2beta.

Here is how those files look like.

Just try and tell me in comments below, how much space you have got back ?

In case your C Drive is full of stuff and even after trying so much you can not get free space in it, then you need to install in any drive other than C Drive.
This can be a harsh but more stable solution. Here is how you can do it.

1. Uninstall Dota 2 from your system (The part with hardest feelings though 😀)
2. Click on Install button in Steam. When you will install it, it will ask you where you want to install it ? Then you should give it path to other drive where you have got enough free space.
3. Dota 2 needs only 13 GB of Disk space, but it is advised if you can keep almost 25 GB free space for Dota 2 for upcoming updates etc.
4. With this method, you will also erase all unnecessary files from Dota 2 Folder which actually occupied space in your hard disk. For example, if you just check out your Steam folder, it will be minimum 20 GB plus. But actually Dota 2 is of just 13.7 GB. So what are rest of those 7 GB files ? Those are just junk files that are stored on your computer regularly on each update.
5. Once you will install a new copy of Dota 2, then only almost 14 GB space will be consumed and you will free another 5-10 GB of space for sure.

Even if you have an awesome internet connection, still you should not run parallel downloading while playing Dota 2 online. It will eat out your bandwidth and data packets. Result may be high pings and may be packet loss too, thus lags and delay.
That is why it is highly recommended to shut down all torrent and other download managers.

Windows 10 is not like other operating system of windows in many aspects. There are many good features in it but for gamers it is really pain in the a**.

Magic Solution to All Windows 10 Problems :
Revert back to your previous version of Windows till we get a stable version of Windows 10

If you are facing regular Dota 2 crashes, then you need to read this guide to fix your Dota 2 Crashes.

It gives you almost all the solutions to the Dota 2 crashing problems. Give it a go.

Most of the antiviruses have Gaming mode by default in them.
Activating gaming mode will prevent your antiviruses from making any popup notifications. These popup notifications will minimize your game some times.

You can well imagine the fate if you are in middle of a gank and suddenly a stupid notification or ad from your antivirus appears and your Dota 2 gets minimized. When you restored your screen and you know your hero is dead and you have lost the battle and now your Barracks are under attack.
So just activate gaming mode before you play Dota 2.

I recommend using Avast Antivirus software which is free for 1 year. Well, here is a cheat, make a new email address every year and then make a new account to keep your antivirus free permanently. Thank me later 😀

You may have an excellent gaming PC for playing, but you need to optimize your settings specially video settings so that everything works perfectly. If you have good Graphic Card and RAM, you can play Dota 2 on high settings. But in case you don’t have high performance system, you will have to optimize your settings.

In game graphics should never get priority over in game performance. So you must first fix the performance issues, then you should go for good graphics.

You need to read this guide to optimize your Video Setting.

With console you can literally change your in game Dota 2 experience. We already have a detailed post about it which can tell you in detail about Console & autoexec cfg

You must enable Network Information while playing Dota 2. It gives you an insight of game while playing.
For example, if your Pings drop while playing, that means its your network issue, you need to fix your internet. But in case if your FPS drop, that means it has nothing to do with your internet, rather its your PC. So you will fix PC problem in later case.

That is why it is always advised that you keep the network information active. In Source 1 Dota 2, you had to enable it via Console, but thanks to Source 2 engine, Dota 2 Reborn has an option in settings using which you can Enable FPS and pings.

After settings are save, you can see FPS and network information like this.

Some times it may be your internet providers and some times it may be steam which may be causing high ping and lag issues. Obviously you cant perform well if you have high pings or lags.

I suggest you to use WTFast [www. wtfast. com] . It is a software specifically developed for the sole purpose of reducing in game ping and lags.

1. Go to main Steam window, right click on Dota 2 (or whatever game you have) and go to Properties.
2. New window will open. Go to 2nd tab which is Updates.
3. Go to background updates and select “Never allow background updates“.
4. Click Close and you are done.

In case you if you have lags and delays issues, then you should also have a look at this article Dota 2 FPS Issues And Crashes (Possible Fixes). It will surely help you.

Dota 2 meepo quickcast fishing

Dota 2 meepo quickcast fishing

Dota 2 meepo quickcast fishing

General Discussiondo you use quickcast?

just saw a thread about skywrath scripting, and people talked about quickcast inside, so it made me wonder, who uses here quickcast? and for what?

i am for example uses all the abilities on quick cast (q w e r d f) besides relocate and dark rift.
and the 3 last slots of items (alt-z alt-x, alt-c)
The only thing i am not using quick cast on is the 3 first items slots (z x c). i find it much easier to use the keyboard to click while moving with the mouse, better aim and reactions (maybe it relates to that i used to play OSU! in the past)
in the items it’s like that because i find my hand getting less tired being in a palm shape, hovering over the z x c alt (like when hovering over q w e r d f) than having to constantly reach to the desired key with the default z x c v b n

also i usually put the items i usually want to self cast on the first slots so i can double click to self cast

I have it customized for every hero. For 90% of the abilities I have quickcast on because its just generally better. The only abilities I don’t have on quick cast are things like brood webs (where you don’t need to cast it fast and want to make sure you cover specific areas) or teleport based abilities like NP teleport of IO relocate because you cant double click to tp to base if you have quick cast on.

I don’t have any items on quick cast since some items I really don’t want on quickcast (TP for example) and the rest just feels awkward to me.

blink hex abyssal halberd orchid medallion quickcast are mandatkry to me

Oh yes yes I forgot that relocate is also on cast
I was before “wait why does set keys for specific heroes enabled?”. That’s for relocate and dark rift
But tp is on quick cast

I don’t like the idea of it. I actually consider it unfair. It shouldnt be part of the game.

It is one of the reasons tinker and meepo are broken too. You cut short the delay that is in place for other people. Which is the standard way. Only that should be reason enough to nerf it greatly or get rid of it

I feel like its fair because anyone can enable it at any point. If you don’t have it on its because you chose not to. And yes I know it takes time to switch over to quick cast, I played the game for over a year with default cast enabled before switching to quick cast. It took several games before I got comfortable with it but it was worth it.

yeah it takes like 5 games.

Idk it was immediately easier for me, i actually struggled using the mouse

lol the fucj is quickcast is that dota fir handicapped people

sure man i prefer delay on thinngs i coild cast instantly

also most pros are handicapped, apparently

i use quick cast on tiny
makes comboing easier

It is one of the reasons tinker and meepo are broken too. You cut short the delay that is in place for other people

i dont even use quickcast on tinker

The thing is, quick cast should only be an altetnative, NOT a way to bypass constrictions by the system. Thats why its unfair even though it is available for everyone.

For example, it could be made fair preventing target made skills from activating immediately, including a fair delay of lets say 0.2 seconds from which you could gain 0.08 from using the standard way and being fast. But thats not the way it is currently. You bypass the delay you have from selecting a skill and targeting, lets call it animation by using a mental process of activation, quickcast.

You can clearly see this difference in real life and its proportiionally related effects in dota – i believe.

Now, when you seenit from this perspective, do you think it is fair and should have a place in the game?

A simple example is football where instead of winding up and shooting the ball where you aim at, activate a shot by seeing where you want the ball to land without the kicking motion. In other words, completely unfair and with no place in the game.
