Dota 2: VR as a Viewing Experience

When we talk about virtual reality and the VR glasses that come with it, everybody’s first thought is of the potential for games themselves—or of how we might experience films with VR glasses in the future. What often doesn’t occur to people is that virtual reality could also be used for live broadcasts—notably in games. However, with the new Dota 2 virtual reality spectator mode, Valve clearly shows that this really does work. Is it possible that, in the future, we will be able to follow eSports and experience everything first-hand with the help of VR glasses? As co-producer of the HTC Vive and developer of Dota 2, the Steam operators appear to be pioneers, having developed a spectator mode for the MOBA which uses the potential of VR glasses.

VR and Dota 2: How it Works

You first start as a spectator in the Dota 2 VR hub—a virtual environment where all avatars of the current game stand in a semicircle along with a large live map, and where the live stream of the commentators can also be seen. The more eventful part is accessed via the map, and the combination of Dota 2 and virtual reality really starts to take hold. You find yourself in the middle of the battlefield and can witness all the action first-hand that you would otherwise only be able to follow and take part in from above. Alternatively, with the help of the Vive controller, it’s also possible to switch position or zoom out so that you are “floating” over the action. The controlling of the Dota 2 VR spectator mode needs all sorts of fine-tuning and adjustments but, on the whole, works exactly as you would imagine it to.

At the Heart of the Action, Not Just Present: VR at Dota 2 International

The update with the virtual reality spectator mode was published to coincide with the biggest Dota 2 tournament, “The International 2016” in Seattle (3rd-16th August 2016) so that, at the beginning of August, all Vive owners could use the new feature. Thanks to VR, the Dota 2 pros are closer than ever before, providing a whole new perspective of the professional matches. With the help of live commentary and the option to position yourself as you like, matches between the top teams, such as Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, OG, Team Secret, Fnatic etc., take on an almost cinematic characteristic. The fact that Dota 2 uses VR for the spectator mode is not only revolutionary for the game itself, but could also represent a huge step for eSports as a whole.

eSports: Spectator Stands in Virtual Reality?

This could also be an interesting concept for other big titles in the eSports arena, and could fundamentally transform eSports as an entertainment product. A feature like the Dota 2 VR spectator mode is also conceivable for countless other games—for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, for example, also developed by Valve. Instead of following specific games, spectators could find a seat in the virtual world from which they can better observe the action, as they are practically in the middle of the battlefield. Equally conceivable are virtual stadiums, whereby spectators could take a seat with the help of their VR glasses, which, for sports games in particular, would help to ensure an authentic atmosphere.

Conclusion: The Hardware is (Still) Lacking

The Dota 2 VR patch is a big step for the broadcasting of and spectator experience at eSports events, as the mode gives further insight into what is possible with virtual reality aside from games and special films. Whether VR in eSports carries through for spectators essentially depends on two factors: On the one hand, on the interest of the developer studios in integrating relevant features into their games; and on the other hand, which is considerably more important, if and when VR glasses will enter the mainstream. As yet, virtual reality is something for fans, as the glasses themselves and the required hardware are simply too expensive for the average gamer. Equally narrow is the target group for these VR spectator modes, and developer studios currently have very little incentive to grapple with them. With the Dota 2 VR spectator mode, Valve is an exceptional case, as the company also wants to push the popularity of the HTC Vive.

  • Meteors need 0.57 seconds to hit their targets.
  • Does not hit invisible, invulnerable or h >Cetro de Aghanim , Starstorm is passively cast. This passive cast has a 8 second recharge time.
    • These passive casts do not use cast time, do not interrupt Mirana in any way and do not cost mana or put the spell on cooldown.
    • The passive cast only applies the initial wave (dealing the same damage as an active cast), and does not hit the closest enemy unit with a secondary meteor.
    • When no enemies are within range or visible, the effect waits until an enemy is in range or is visible.
    • Checks for valid targets in 1 second intervals. The time is adapted to the in-game clock, meaning it only happens on full seconds.
    • Mirana receives the thinker modifier as soon as Starstorm is learned, but it does nothing until Scepter is acquired.
    • Does not trigger while Mirana is invisible. It can trigger during fade times or fade delays, without breaking the invisibility.
    • Just like a charge-based ability, the counter only starts counting once the effect procs. It has a charge limit of 1.
    • A status buff icon shows whenever the effect is ready.
  • The Sacred Arrow travels at a speed of 900.
  • The arrow starts traveling 51 range in front of Mirana, and travels forward up to 3067 range.
    • This means units within 50 range in front of Mirana cannot be hit, as it does not search for units right behind the arrow.
  • Can hit units up to 3163 range away (travel distance + radius).
  • The stun increases by 0.1 seconds and the damage by 2.8 for each 30 distance traveled, resulting in the following values at certain distances (before reductions):
    • 300 Distance: 1 second stun, 28 (68/148/228/308) damage
    • 600 Distance: 2 seconds stun, 56 (96/176/256/336) damage
    • 900 Distance: 3 seconds stun, 84 (124/204/284/364) damage
    • 1200 Distance: 4 seconds stun, 112 (152/232/312/392) damage
    • 1500 Distance: 5 seconds stun, 140 (180/260/340/420) damage
    • The arrow reaches its full potential after traveling for 1500 distance, which takes 1.75 seconds.
  • The arrow first applies the damage, then the debuff.
  • The stun duration is shown above the target’s head upon hit (visible to allies only). The shown value is rounded.
  • If the arrow collides with a unit which is not a hero, ancient creep, or creep-hero, it instantly kills it.
    • The creep is killed by getting its health dealt as damage to it, in the form of HP Removal. Spell immune creeps are not killed.
  • The arrow cannot collide with invulnerable or hidden units, it simply flies through them.
  • The Sacred Arrow has 500 flying vision, which stays for 3 seconds at the point the arrow hits a target.
  • When choosing the talent which adds extra arrows, the extra arrows are launched together with the main arrow.
    • The extra arrows are launched with a 30 degree angle to the left and right of the centered arrow.
    • Although all three arrows overlap in front of Mirana, they cannot hit the same target.

How to Counter Sniper in Dota 2

Ho ho! Ha ha!

For this episode we’re joined by Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho, a professional Dota 2 player from the team Summer’s Rift, and he’s sharing some tips on how to kill one of Dota 2’s biggest pubstompers, Sniper.

Sniper is picked all the time, but that’s likely going to change soon thanks to the incoming 6.84 patch. Still, the update isn’t here yet, so you can bet Dota players are going to get squeeze in plenty of Sniper matches while he’s still super powerful.

The best way to beat any hero will always be through smart picks and bans and great team-wide coordination, but that’s not always a going to happen – especially in solo queue. The following tips are probably most useful for an average 2-3k MMR player who’s playing alone or with a small group of friends.

Sniper can do a ton of damage from long range, but if you get in his face, the little pink guy is going to have a bad time.

Spirit Breaker, on the other hand, wants to close the gap quickly and smack enemies around with his space lantern.

Once he has vision of an enemy hero, Spirit Breaker can charge across the map, collide with his target, and stun it with a powerful bash. If you have decent attack speed, perhaps from a cheap Mask of Madness, you can continue to hit hard and land bashes thanks to your passive Greater Bash ability.

If Sniper tries to run, Spirit Breaker can use his ultimate, Nether Strike, to teleport next to Sniper and punch him for tons of bonus damage.

Clockwerk

Clockwerk’s lockdown abilities are annoying for pretty much anyone – doubly so for Sniper, who prefers to stand way back and blast his targets from afar.

His combination can be tricky to land, but it’s effective when it hits. Clockwerk’s ultimate, Hookshot, fires out a grappling hook in a straight line at very long range. If you hit Sniper, Clockwerk will be yanked toward him in an instant.

From there, he can trap Sniper by summoning an array of energized cogs. However, unless Clockwerk is very farmed, he might not kill Sniper on his own. Instead, use Clockwerk to start the fight, then ask your team to come in and finish Sniper off.

Spectre

Spectre is one of the most powerful late-game heroes in Dota 2, and once she has decent farm, her ultimate ability makes her one of the best Sniper hunters in the game.

When Spectre uses Haunt, she creates a copy of herself next to every enemy hero on the map, no matter where they are. Those illusions attack enemies, though with reduced damage. If she chooses, Spectre can then possess the body of one of those illusions, giving the enemy a nasty surprise as she appears in full strength right next to them.

Once you have a few strong items, you can use Haunt, do some damage to the entire enemy team, and then jump into the illusion next to Sniper and slice him apart.

Centaur Warrunner

By now, you’ve probably noticed a trend. Great counters to Sniper are usually heroes who can close the distance to him quickly, which negates his ranged advantage.

Centaur Warrunner’s ultimate, Stampede, gives all of his allies maximum move speed, meaning Sniper could very quickly find himself surrounded by five angry enemies – one of whom is a giant beefy horse man. Use Stampede to charge your team at him and he won’t stand a chance.

Centaur also tends to buy a Blink Dagger, an item which allows you to instantly teleport a short distance. This is another strong way to initiate a fight against a Sniper.

Zeus is the outlier of this list for a few reasons.

First, Zeus is the one hero here who’s most likely to meet Sniper in a 1v1 mid situation, which is quite common. He may not win the lane, but by spamming Arc Lightning and putting a point into his passive ability, Static Field, Zeus can definitely contest the lane.

Zeus’ ultimate zaps every enemy hero on the map with a damaging burst of lightning, meaning he doesn’t need to be as concerned with Sniper’s ranged advantage. If your positioning is good, you can hang back while Sniper targets your friends and then quickly nuke him down with your full spell rotation.

Dota 2 is one of the very few online video games which grants players access to completely downgrade the graphics. Setting up AutoEXE file

Config files are a group of commands that run whenever you run the game or execute them manually. Though many of the config files are default ones, you can create your own files to set up various commands that can greatly help you get rid of Dota 2 fps issues.

It is, however, important to set them up correctly and save them at the correct locations.
The file should be set up on the following location.

Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\cfg\

Now, create a file and name it autoexec. cfg

You can get the commands from over here .

The commands have been optimized to give you maximum performance settings in the game and to improve your latency and FPS problems in Dota 2.

Be sure to save the file where it has been mentioned above. Else, the config file would not execute every time you start up Dota 2.

Dota 2: DreamLeague Major Day 3 Highlights

Day three of the DreamLeague Major is now behind us. We saw two teams head home today, and our upper and lower brackets are beginning to take shape as we move towards the finals.
Let’s take a look at how the action played out on the main stage in Stockholm.

EHOME and Navi say goodbye to the Major

Our first elimination match saw North American team J. Storm come up against Ukraine boys Natus Vincere.

The game started off well for Navi. They took first blood at five minutes and were leading the kills and net worth initially. But things started going downhill for them at the fifteen minute mark, as J. Storm took the kill-lead.

This was an outstanding game for Moo on Lifestealer. He played his role perfectly, securing twenty kills for his team and dominating the net worth throughout the late game.

Navi did their best to come back, but as the game neared forty-minutes they found themselves with two rax down. J. Storm pushed the advantage, closing out the game at forty-three minutes and securing them a spot in round two of the lower bracket.

Next up we saw China’s EHOME face SA team, Infamous.

EHOME have had some ups and downs throughout our season so far and this game was definitely one of their downs.

Infamous came in strong straight from the laning phase, applying plenty of pressure to EHOME’s line-up. Mo0z and Papita scored three kills under the top tier 1 tower at just six minutes in. By 14 minutes, they’d earned themselves a 7 kill-lead, which just didn’t stop growing.

EHOME only managed to secure 6 kills throughout the thirty-minute game. Although XinQ tried to take some duels in the early game, but it wasn’t enough to stop the slaughter from Infamous. They ended with 22 kills, eliminating EHOME from the competition.

LGD knock out Mineski

With the elimination matches out of the way, we moved on to round 1 of the upper brackets. Our first series saw PSG. LGD face Mineski in a Bo3.

Things started out fairly even in game one. Both Mineski and LGD were playing cautiously, concentrating on pushing lanes and gaining farm. Ahjit’s Ember Spirit was leading the net worth and things looked promising for Mineski, who seemed to be looking to finish quickly and avoid LGD’s powerful line-up in the late game.

But LGD played like a well-oiled machine. They took Roshan at twenty-minutes and used the momentum to push into Mineski’s tier 2 towers. This was the beginning of the end for Mineski. At twenty-four minutes, LGD pushed the rax, taking the fight to Mineski’s base. GG was called at 28 minutes, and LGD took out game one of the series.

Game two saw LGD playing to win. They took out first blood on Kpii’s Viper pick. This was the beginning of a strong laning phase for the Chinese team that saw them taking the lead in both kills and net worth.

Mineski did their best to push back, but LGD’s game was relentless. At thirty minutes, LGD were once again attacking the high ground and pressuring mid rax. With no where left to hide, Mineski found themselves cut down in their base one by one. LGD secured game two in 35 minutes.

Ame was definitely the standout player for LGD in this series. He had had zero deaths across both games and took out 26-kills.

Secret’s Winning streak comes to an end

Our final upper bracket match saw Team Secret take on Vici Gaming.

Secret were the clear favourites heading in to the series, their performance has been more than on point this season. They came into this match after a string of victories, undefeated by any of the other teams they’d faced at the Major so far.

But that was all about to change, as Vici came into this series playing to win. Things did not go in their favour initially, and game one was definitely Secret’s game. Nisha’s life stealer led the net worth throughout and MidOne’s Outworld Devourer was a force to be reckoned with, leading the kills with a total of 11 for his team. After holding out for forty-six minutes, Vici Gaming’s defence crumbled and the first victory went to Team Secret.

Game two looked like it would be a similar story. Again, we saw Secret leading the kills and net worth from the early stages of the laning phase. But as the game pushed past the twenty-minute mark, the advantage began to swing towards Vici.

Ori’s item picks on Medusa helped him fight into Nisha’s Anti-Mage. Out surviving the Secret core whenever they went head to head and helping to mitigate the threat AM posed for his team.

By thirty minutes, Vici had a two rax advantage and things were looking very shaky for Secret. Vici secured themselves the victory in game two after taking Roshan and pushing Secret’s high ground at thirty-seven minutes. The game was in the bag then, with GG called at 38 minutes.

As game three opened, Vici showed us they really did mean business. They came in strong and fast right from the opening of the laning phase, leading in the kills and with Paparazi sitting at the top of the net worth.

As Vici ramped up the aggression, pushing towers in the early game, it started to look like Secret were on the ropes. A team fight around the Rosh pit at 20 minutes saw Secret start to turn things around, but the come back was short lived.

Paparazi’s Morphling was melting everything in his path, and Vici took out the mid rax at around twenty-eight minutes.

Secret held on, despite the pressure. Attempting to push back, smoking up and searching for pick offs. But there was just no stopping Vici. Fade’s positioning with his shadow blade made it easy for Vici to separate Secret and catch them out, one by one.

After forty-two minutes of brutal punishment, Vici took home the win with 39 kills to Secret’s 18.

Day four of DreamLeague will be starting soon! Don’t forget to tune in on Twitch so you don’t miss any of the action. Keen for more Dota 2 highlights and esports news? Follow us on Twitter for all the latest news, or check out our YouTube for daily video updates.

What Is Dota Auto Chess And Why Is Everyone Playing It?

Share

If you believe the internal tracking in the Dota 2 client, upwards of 70,000 concurrent players are engaging in a single custom map: Dota Auto Chess. It’s definitely not chess, and although the characters share some similar abilities to Dota 2 counterparts, it’s absolutely not Dota either. Instead, Dota Auto Chess is a turn-based tactical strategy game that pits you against seven other players in round after round of resource-management action – you won’t need any APM to compete here, as all the units do battle on their own after you place them.

Players begin simply by picking a single unit from a selection of five. After that, options expand rapidly as the game gets under way, as your population cap and unit choices grow larger. You can pick any units you like as long as you have the gold and space, and that’s where team-composition strategy comes in. Putting units of the same race and class together has powerful and often game-deciding effects. For instance, a team stacked with mages will cause the opposing team’s magic resistance to greatly decrease, meaning your spells will absolutely ravage them. Assassin stacks get giant crits, knights get shields, mechs regen, hunters get massive damage boosts – you get the idea. How do i sell my dota 2 items Mixing and matching race/class combinations to stack all kinds of bonuses and effects is critical to success. Other race/class combos offer more interesting synergy, like druids being able to “rank up” using fewer units than others. Ranking up is an important aspect of the game and another layer of strategy, as it makes your characters much more powerful.

To rank up, you’ll need three of the same unit, which is made more difficult if everyone in your game is trying to play the same races/classes, so it’s to your benefit to try and seek out lesser-played characters in order to rank them up easier. Everyone draws from the same unit pool, so if everyone wants to stack mages, those players will crumble easily as they struggle to rank up units while the knight player gets all the uncontested rank ups to themselves.

In addition to attempting to forge the best team, keeping an eye on your funds is critical. You get money from wins, win streaks, lose streams, and interest each round. You can sandbag early on and take some losses and damage to try to get a big interest stack kicking, but try and tempt fate too much and you may lose the game before your big stack of cash starts providing meaningful dividends.

Each round you face a random opponent from whoever is remaining in the game, until there’s only one left standing. Placing in the top three will net you some candy, which you can use to unlock cosmetics you can use from game to game. After a few games, you’ll also get a ranking based on chess pieces, like pawn, knight, or bishop, and this will go up and down as you continue to play games.

Every so often the custom map scene has a mod that catches fire. While its longevity remains to be seen, if you’re into this sort of strategy experience, you can play it for free inside the Dota 2 client (which is free) on Steam, so I recommend giving it a shot. It’s not chess, and it’s not Dota, but it’s a great game to queue up and play with friends or solo. It takes a few games to start to understand how everything works, but it’s got some really fun strategy hooks underneath everything. It is ViCi Gaming vs Newbee.

At the end of Phase 2 (group stage) there could not have been two teams further apart. VG had dominated the entire set of round robin matches ending on top of the standings with a 12-3 record. Newbee on the other hand, squeaked in with a 7-8 record that forced a three way TieBreaker.

ViCi’s record gave them an instant trip to the Main Event. Newbee’s record gave them the longest road to the main event but that trip forged the team into something new. They no longer struggled, but dominated matches and now enter today from the Upper Bracket and VG comes from the Lower Bracket.

If you have Dota 2 you can watch the finals in-game (highly recommended) or you can watch all the games live on the Dota website. The pre-game is happening right now with some analysis and commentary.

The KeyArena – 17,000 capacity – is full of screaming Dota fans. It has been fascinating watching this competition and knowing the next few games are going to lead to one team taking home several million dollars is pretty incredible.

I was around the Seattle Center area on Friday and wondered why so many people were carrying Dota 2 swag bags. (Also it’s KeyArena, not Keystone Arena)
oops thanks!

The first two games were pretty good then it went downhill; Newbee just romped it in. Kind of a disappointing final after many of the epic games leading up to it.

Agreed, compared to the main event matches and last year’s grand finals, this final was very disappointing.
Not unlike other recent professional sporting events
Worst TI finals so far 😦

Will be forever dreaming of an EG vs. DK final series. Would have been so much more intense.

Watched the finals from my own noobish point of view (by way of the noob stream) and I get why they GG so early, but damn. it’s the grand finals of basically the Dota 2 world cup. You’d think they wouldn’t throw it in quite so easily.

It would have been a fairy tale ending for VG if they’d won it, seeing how Newbee dismantled them earlier.

boring final for sure but credit to newbee for somehow being the only team to bother trying to counter against vg’s early push strategies. some of the format changes this year were definitely for the better but there’s room for improvement next year. upper and lower bracket grand final play off series should be a best of fives like in the past. such critical matches can be pretty underwhelming when its a two game stomp. seen countless teams in the past come back to win best of fives and it is infinitely more thrilling.
The 4th game they had no chance of winning but the 2nd and 3rd game I was thinking the same. They still had a slim chance of winning so they really should have played it out. The last game was a stomp and VG’s picks were just bad matchups compared to newbie’s.
ES and shadow shaman seemed to be key hero’s. Also I was blown away about how VG kept going for natures prophet despite already going down twice in a row with it.
Newbee outplayed VG. I think VG choked in the last game with those picks. Either way it was a great tourney full of upsets. Can’t wait for next years.
I like cloud 9, and some guy Bone7 I think, he wrecked !!

Been fun watching it, I should DL and give it a try.

their picks were totally confusing, at least to a relative noob like me.

I agree that the early ggs were disappointing and weird, especially in the last game. Dota is a funny old game. We’ve come back from being down that far (admittedly not against pro teams); it only takes a couple of mistakes for the whole game to turn around. I certainly know the feeling of wanting to throw in the towel ASAP though.

Lina dota 2

Lina, the Slayer, is a ranged Intelligence hero, adept at destroying enemy heroes quickly by delivering massive bursts of magical damage, making her one of the most effective gankers in the game. She possesses immense damaging capabilities all throughout the game, but is very fragile. Two of her fiery spells are her main source of damage, Dragon Slave sends a wave of fire to burn enemies in her path while Light Strike Array stuns them with a concentrated pillar of solar flame. Each of her spells deals great damage early on and has a low cooldown. Her Fiery Soul bolsters her attack and movement speed every time she casts a spell, which gives her scaling damage for the later game. Laguna Blade, her ultimate, is her ace in the hole. Lina fires off a huge bolt of lightning at a single target, dealing colossal damage. Laguna Blade’s damage is staggering in early-mid game, and late game is still enough to destroy frail enemy heroes. Dragon Slave, Light Strike Array, and Laguna Blade are incredible flaming nukes that can incinerate her target instantly, and Fiery Soul allows her to transition into a strong and fast physical attacker. Though her power falls from its peak late game, mana-boosting and damage-increasing items can be purchased to keep herself up.

Bio [ edit ]

Abilities [ edit ]

  • Dragon Slave travels at a speed of 1200, taking 0.9 ( 0.98) seconds to travel the full distance.
  • Can hit units up to 1275 ( 1375) range away (travel distance + end radius).
  • The complete area is shaped like a cone.
  • Light Strike Array destroys trees within the affected radius.
  • Light Strike Array first applies the debuff, then the damage.
  • The visual effects and the sound during the 0.5 second effect delay are only visible and audible to allies.
  • Lina has two different animations for this spell, leading to two possible cast backswing durations.
  • Using items does not trigger Fiery Soul.
  • Each spell cast refreshes the duration of the whole stack, making it theoretically possible to permanently have max stacks on.
  • At 2 stacks the buff grants 10%/12%/14%/16% ( 14%/16%/18%/20%) movement speed and 80/110/140/170 ( 140/170/200/230) attack speed.
  • At 3 stacks the buff grants 15%/18%/21%/24% ( 21%/24%/27%/30%) movement speed and 120/165/210/255 ( 210/255/300/345) attack speed.
  • Places a debuff on the target, which applies the damage upon expiring. The debuff lasts 0.25 seconds.
    • This means the spell can be avoided by being invulnerable or hidden (or spell immune when not upgraded) as the debuff expires.

Recommended items [ edit ]

  • Tango restores health to keep Lina in lane.
  • Null Talisman gives attributes so Lina can get last hits.
  • Iron Branch prov >Clarity sustains mana so Lina can keep using abilities, threatening enemies more.
  • Magic Stick is useful since Lina is squishy and has multiple high-cost low-cooldown spells picking up Magic Stick can increase her early staying power greatly.
  • Boots of Speed helps Lina get into position to land her abilities while avo >Bottle is a common pickup for Lina when playing in the mid lane.
  • Phase Boots ‘s attack damage complements Fiery Soul to increase Lina’s damage output.
  • Arcane Boots is a viable alternative, especially for a more support oriented Lina. Lina dota 2
  • Bloodstone can solve Lina’s mana issues while also improving her low HP pool. With enough charges, she can keep up her full stacks of Fiery Soul without having to worry about being out of mana during the next team fight.
  • Eul’s Scepter of Divinity enhances Lina’s positioning even further and greatly boosts her mana-regeneration because of her high base Intelligence and Intelligence gain. It can also be used to set up Light Strike Array fairly reliably.
  • Blink Dagger gives Lina the ability to stay back in safety, then blink in at an opportune moment to cast her Light Strike Array before the enemy can see it coming and evade it.
  • Aghanim’s Scepter roughly boosts Lina’s Laguna Blade damage by another ability point, increases her survivability because of the increase to her attributes, and lets her damage stay relevant even against Black King Bar users in the m >Drum of Endurance improves her own positioning and all attributes for relatively low cost and also benefits her team.
  • Shadow Blade can be useful for a carry Lina, as it helps her to cast Light Strike Array while invisible, and also prov >Scythe of Vyse gives her team an important disable that also helps to ensure she lands Light Strike Array. Furthermore, its attribute bonuses will make her a bit more survivable and drastically improve her mana regeneration.
  • Crystalys prov >Daedalus or Bloodthorn depending on your preference.
  • Black King Bar is sometimes picked up when Lina is carrying, especially against teams with many disables.
  • Shiva’s Guard both helps with Lina’s mana regeneration problems as well as her low armor value while also benefiting her team with Shiva’s Guard’s aura and active ability.
  • Rod of Atos prov >Octarine Core ‘s lifesteal gives more survival potential in teamfights. Also, it gives a huge intelligence boost, as well as a greater ability to spam spells.
  • Ethereal Blade is a decent luxury item if the farm is available. It allows Lina to amplify her magical nukes, and slows enemies to help her land them. Using the active on herself is also a good escape mechanism against late game carries.
