General DiscussionBroodmother – Radiance

Could anyone explain me why more and more people start building radiance for Broodmother (almost 50% guides on dotabuff). I have tried it and I feel it doesn’t fit for this hero. Radiance gives us:
1) faster farming – we don’t need it, broodmother already farms really fast and she can clear all camps in her weebs and lane in 1 minute. If I buy radiance, before 25 lvl talent I don’t have enough weebs to farm more camps (and going outside weebs in enemy jungle is unsafe)
2) stronger teamfights – broodmother is solo pusher and rarely participates in teamfights
3) burn – it is good for tanky heroes who broodmother definitely isn’t
4) miss chance – it isn’t good to combine two miss chance abilities (radiance and incapaciting bite) because radiance doesn’t help in pushing so games are longer. It means all carries get mbk before you end game if you buy radiance.
I don’t see any situation when radiance could be better than orchid/deso/solar crest as a first bigger item. Broodmother needs more pushing power to end game fast and items which helps in pick-offs. So why radiance?

3k boy, just do it

Brood farms incredibly fast. An early radiance does devastating damage to squishy heroes.
Radiance power spike = early
Broodmother power spike = early

It’s like the old BS radiance rush. I don’t agree with it but if you’re doing really well and can get it at min 14 then it’s GG

broodmother is solo pusher and rarely participates in teamfights

Broodmother needs more pushing power to end game fast

So her playstyle has changed? I usually after destroying t1 and t2 just sit in the enemy jungle, farm and kill enemies who enter jungle (what is often impossible without orchid) then wait at big teamfight and take t3 and barracks in this time (I rather avoid teamfights if my teammates don’t come at my lane). And as I remember the most people build orchid as a first item (except last 2 months when they started building radiance).

yeah i’d say radiance isnt very good except you win your lane very hard by killing them often. I’d rather go for midas, phase, orchid, echo, dagger etc.
Imo getting radiance really delays her powerspikes. It just takes too much farm and isnt that useful.

just because most people do something doesnt mean its good, brood has a power spike when u get radiance

12-16 min and u have to abuse this, the problem with splitpush brood is that ur team has to 4v5 all game, but seeing how fast brood farms, why would u waste that gold on contributing to nothing for ur team. U will also thrash the enemy safelane, so when u have tons of farm, and the supports and carry on enemy team dont why would u not take advantage of that

also i really recommend u to watch some of those replays (top 500 brood)

Radiance on Brood is really good.
The AOE burn on an invis hero and an insane farming boost it gives you are unmatchable by any other build.

You aren’t supposed to just afk push one lane, btw. You can rotate webs around the map, creating pressure elsewhere. If you have >=2 web charges, you can easily join teamfights and defenses.

Radiance Brood doesn’t have to finish too early, for if you go something like Radiance>Manta>Skadi, etc. you’re a pretty viable semicarry at any stage of the game.

Idk, if you fail to understand the concept, go watch some replays of LG/Lirik/etc.

2) stronger teamfights – broodmother is solo pusher and rarely participates in teamfights
No. You can join any teamfight, as long as you have web charges and it feels OK to do so.

3) burn – it is good for tanky heroes who broodmother definitely isn’t
Depends on what you build. You farm PT+Echo/BKB/hp talent and you’re already decently fat.

4) miss chance – it isn’t good to combine two miss chance abilities (radiance and incapaciting bite) because radiance doesn’t help in pushing so games are longer. It means all carries get mbk before you end game if you buy radiance.

Not sure if you’re retarded, but you can easily get Radiance+BKB+Solar at around 21-23 mins in the game and literally be unkillable in any 5×5. MKBs are extremely rare sub-25 mins in the game, you just mow everyone down and can’t be killed by physical DPS.

Also, you deny the neutral farm, assuming you have won your lane and MKBs will be further delayed very far away.

By the time enemies get MKB, you already are 6 slotted and have replaced your Solar w/Shivas or AC.

IMO, among the best Broods at high MMR.
Watch the game and itembuilds, especially the first guy.

Hopefully, you will understand.

Maybe as a luxury item

Because you can farm it faster than any other hero and you more or less melt any support thats not Orge or omni that rotates over

Yeah, I’ll watch them, however I noticed lately (from patch with additional creep for mid) high mmr players went mid instead offlane so their playstyle can be a bit diffrent from offlaners. I play her only offlane because I’m afraid of negative reactions of my 3k teammates.

I could kill the most supports even without any items. Problem is that I can’t kill heroes like slark, am, invoker (after laning stage) without orchid.

Again, if you not kill, then you just starve the opponent to a very severe gold deficit or join 5×5.
You place aggressive wards, lock up their jungle, force them to stay locked on their hg, while you and your team just overfarm.
If they have a dogshit draft, they won’t be able to fight the remainder of your team either and will just sit there ’till it’s over (they won’t smoke up and try to get a pick-off at that rating anyway, saw that only in replays of higher level matches).

AM with PT+Perseverance ain’t going to stop you, from entering the highground @ 20-22 mins in, nor are they going to stop a team with Aegis+ 30 to 40k gold surplus.

2 options:
1) they have a weak draft (some retarded 2k-tier shit like AM+Medusa in one draft or a jungling carry hero, etc.) – they won’t be able to fight the remainder of your team 5×4, they can’t catch you either – you just lock them, overfarm and mow them down, killing all 5 and finishing the game 5-10 mins later. I almost never lose such games and know it’s a gg from the start.

2) they have a good draft for a fight (bara+slardar w mid QOP, etc.) – then you just join the 5×5, having advantage in items and level, win a few teamfights, lock them up and finish. I sometimes lose such games, for I have shit macro and map awareness.

I may be retarded 4k, but that’s the way I see it at any rating 15.07.2017

After Several Attempts to Connect, the Server D >

Happened to me three times in a row matchmaking tonight. I get this error after clicking accept, fail to join. I got 5 min, 10 min, and 60 min bans respectively. I’m quite scared to try the queue again, fearing a longer term or perma ban for what appears to be a server issue. A friend of mine was having the same issue tonight, suggesting to me again that the problem is NOT on my end.

I looked around from other forums as well as this, seems like the problem is sporadic and wide spread for other users as well. None of the “solutions” have worked for me. I tried restarting steam, restarting PC modem router, flushing steam config, etc. Still, about half the time I try to create and start a lobby game, it fails. During failure, this kind of error message is showing up consistently in the dota 2 console:

[Client] Failed to connect to =[A:1:1666408454:9387]. Reason code 4001. Timeout; remote problem. Rx age server (never) relay 0.0s
[Client] CL: Server disconnected: 80: #GameUI_Disconnect_RemoteProblem_TimeoutConnecting
[NetSteamConn] Closing Steam Net Connection on socket ‘client’ to =[A:1:1666408454:9387], handle d0001 (1000 CloseSocket)
[Networking] Summary of connection to [A:1:1666408454:9387]:
[Networking] End-to-end connection: closed due to problem detected locally, reason code 4001. (Timeout; remote problem. Rx age server (never) relay 0.0s)

Is there anything I can do other than cross my fingers and queue again?

It doesn’t seem fair to ban users when the servers are messing up!

It’s not just you. I’ve gotten this about 4 times today as well. I have also queued for matches and seen others not connect to the match after accepting the match.

Valve’s devs just are not smart enough to NOT flag the user with a “you did not click accept in time” penatly, when you actually did click accept but could not get the drafting screen.

It’s okay, Dota 2 has millions fewer players this year than last year, which means lost revenue. I’m sure penalizing players who queue, click accept, and then cannot get connected, with bans is a great way to reduce the number of players in the player base even more.

Nice to get queban because volvo cant do shit properly.

Wait for tonight people. It happened overnight and CS:GO had similar issues with clicking Ready. If this was an issue with a Valve datacenter, most penalties will most likely get reverted.

This issue is still happening today. And I still see it where all 10 players have clicked “Accept” and 1 or 2 of them never make it to the draft screen. I have also gotten the “After Several Attempts to Connect, the Server Did Not Respond” dialog today.

However, note to anyone who gets this. Be sure you acknowledge the dialog and keep trying to reconnect, over and over, until the matchmaking times out. If you do that, you might not get the queue ban. That worked for me just a few moments ago.

Also, when the issue happens, exit both Dota 2 Client and Steam Client, then reconnect to Steam, then reconnect to Dota 2, before you try to queue for matchmaking again.

Okay, this issue is now happening such that I cannot connect to any ranked matchmaking games, 100% of all attempts to queue for ranked matches.

Things I have tried thus far:

Upon receiving the “After Several Attempts to Connect, the Server D >This never connects to the match, but at times it may avoid a queue ban (not always and not lately)

Upon #1 above occurring, restart both the Steam client and the Dota 2 client between each and every attempt to queue for a ranked match.
Yesterday this would some times result in being able to queue and connect to ranked match. However, out of 10 players, someone almost always would not connect which still resulted in not being able to play a match. Today, this doesn’t seem to be helping connect at all.

Disabling my PC’s firewall (which was just Windows Firewall)
I tried this today with no change in results.

Shutting down my Router, letting it sit for 5 minutes, and rebooting my Router.
I tried this today with no change in results.

  • Setting the Dota 2 Advanced Option → Network → Network Quality: I have a Low-end Network.
I tried this today with no change in results.
  • NOTES: I’ve played Dota 2 since 2012, on high-end network, and on my own custom-built gaming PC. I have never had connection issues like this it up until mid-day yesterday when this thread originally started. I actually queued for and played about 4 matches yesterday without issue, until this issue started about mid-day. Whatever this issue is, I’m convinced it exists at the server end of the connection, or between the Steam server and Dota 2 match server. Players are not getting socketed into a matche correctly, and then they are getting unfairly banned from queuing for ranked matches, because the match server thinks they didn’t click “”Accept”, which they have already done. In my last three queue attempts, I even click “Reconnect” three times per match, only to end up with a longer and longer queue ban.

The Most Successful Dota 2 Support Heroes

Dota 2 Support Heroes are the backbone of any team, be it a high-level pub match or professional match. They babysit their carries, create space for their mids, sacrifice their farms as well as their own lives for the greater good, and are generally pretty exhausting to play, both physically and mentally. That is the main reason that it is often under and even over appreciated at times: it’s hard to quantify a supports impact, and quite frequently players don’t realize that how much their support has done for the team. However, almost as frequently support players think too highly of their contributions.

This post will be dedicated to a brief analysis of top-tier supports in pub and pro plays in an attempt to highlight the highest impact supports. Picking a consistently strong support hero will unlikely win all of your games, but it can be a good starting point to understand the role better and improving at it. Stats are shown by impact compared to win rate percentages below

    PROFESSIONAL SCENE

Rubick: LAN Games – 43.2% win rate

Despite possessing attributes typical of the archetypal support caster, the possession of Spell Steal allows Rubick to be built differently. While he only has one innate disable, he should generally be produced with mobility and casting in mind, with items that help with initiation taking priority due to the utility that Spell Steal provides. Rubick is a flexible spellcaster, best known for his ability to copy enemies last used spells to use against them. He is commonly picked as a counter pick to big team fight spells like Tidehunter’s Ravage, Enigma’s Blackhole and so on.

Witch Doctor: LAN Games – 50% win rate

Witch Doctor is a strong support that scales well throughout the game. If well positioned can change the flow of battle with his ultimate. The Witch Doctor’s early game damage and utility from Paralyzing Cask and Maledict are extreme in the laning phase. Consider skipping points in Voodoo Restoration until you reach level 10 to maximise lane pressure and damage output. Having Maledict at maximum level as soon as possible allows you to pull off shorter duration Death Wards to secure big kills.

Tusk: LAN Games – 52.2% win rate

Tusk is a very strong initiator who can set up fights on his team’s terms. His arsenal of crowd control spells can significantly inhibit enemies during fights and ganks, giving allies a commanding edge. Tusk is a ganking specialist as he can hunt fragile heroes throughout the game. However, his skill and aggressive play style can be a double edge against him when it comes to initiating & chasing fleeing enemies as his ice shard can block his teammates from proceeding with the chase, and he can roll himself into a counter-ganking trap set up by his opponent. Thus, although his skill set is rather straightforward, a player should exercise good judgement before considering initiation.

    PUB SCENE

Shadow Shaman – 52% win rate

Shadow Shaman is a powerful ganker, and pusher, who possesses strong disables and nukes. His spells allow him to disable lone enemies for extended periods of time, making them easy prey for his teammates, or to make short work of creep waves and towers. Because of his strong disables and powerful nukes, Shadow Shaman benefits significantly from building intelligence items that extend the size of his mana pool and provide mana regeneration, as well as mobility items to allow him to get close enough to use his disables and nukes on enemies. The additional mobility also aids in survivability by allowing him to position himself to escape enemy attempts to kill him.

Crystal Maiden – 54% win rate

Crystal Maiden is an efficient support who specialises in slowing enemies. Her highly valued Arcane aura increases mana regeneration for all her teammates, while she remains useful throughout the game with minimal items. In massive fights, she can channel a freezing field to obliterate enemies over a wide area, along with using frostbite to target individuals. However, Crystal Maiden is quite fragile even compared to other supports and is one of the slowest heroes in the game.

    Omniknight – 57% win rate

An argument can be made on Omniknight role in PUB play, some users have started to use Omniknight as an offlane aggressor. Although built to be a strong healing support, players have converted to an aggressive core that can be a menace in lanes to deal with due to his slow attack combined with his strength/healing advantage. This is a combo that is unseen in most supports mentioned above

What is your take on the way Omniknight should be played?

Pubs are a little different from the professional scene – teams aren’t as coordinated, pick progressions are very different, and games generally take longer, so greedier supports can feel better. A witch doctor is a top tier support coming in at third position with a win rate of 51%.

    Closing Thoughts

Learning from high-level pubs and the professional scene is the best way to learn dota. Tusk support dota 2 Although blindly copying their picks, however, can be a dangerous path, since there are so many nuisances in the game. If you are serious indeed about improving, do yourself a favour and watch replays of hero you are interested in – it is unlikely all of the things will be comprehended fully, but some of the more basic concepts can be understood, applied, and built upon in the future. A great place to start for looking up statistics and what is currently in meta would be looking at sites like Dotabuff. com which is always a great place to begin looking into your own performances.

Top 10 Inspirational Anime Quotes [Best List]

Anime are a lot of things. Sometimes they’re an action packed showdown filled with tons of cool fight scenes that we can get excited over. Other times, they can be an upbeat slice of life to brighten our day. Once in awhile, regardless of genre or type, a gem is found in the words of an anime character.

These gems aren’t necessarily just cool, or the be all to end all to the question of life, but they help us find something; the soul of the characters, and that of ours. Sometimes, we all need a helping hand, and that can mean hearing just the right thing to push us forward to the next day. These are the Top 10 Inspirational Anime Quotes to help piece together a broken soul.

It’s all well and good to work hard, but we must always question ourselves as to why we do so. It is often that we push ourselves to the point that we have lost sight of who we are or what our goal is.

This quote comes from a very minor character in Persona 4, but the meaning of her words are no less potent. Coming from someone who has lost the man that she holds dearest to her heart, she expresses how lacklustre her life has become, almost like it seems to be going somewhere. Never lose sight of who you are and what you hold dear, for they bring meaning to your work and all that you do.

These are the words of the man who learnt that he could hold nothing in his hands because of his ideals. Spoken to his younger self, he seeks to dissuade Shirou from pursuing the lonely path of being a selfless hero. It is a path that leads to ruin, whilst pushing away everyone who cares for him.

In reality, this applies as well. Helping others and making it our purpose to be a kind person can be all well and good, but we must always think of our own needs as well. There are times when it becomes okay to be selfish, because who could protect us best but ourselves?

Human life is fragile and limited. We never know when things can just end and sometimes we don’t even see it coming in our last moments. One day, it could all simply vanish before our eyes and we would have disappeared to the great beyond.

With her condition, Kaori knows this can happen at any moment. Instead of giving up, she chooses the opposite path. She lives each moment as if it could be her last, because it literally could be. For those of us who still have long lives ahead, it might not be as long as we think. And that is because one can only be the strongest through fear. We all feel it every day in our lives. The key is what to do with it.

We could back down from it. And then we would hit a dead end that goes nowhere. Or we could face it. Fear is real. But fear itself is not something to be feared. It makes us stronger, and at the end, we can look back on what we feared and laugh at it, for we have become strong.

We fail all the time, and that is an indisputable fact. Sometimes, it’s our fault, or maybe it’s just the circumstances. Regardless of the fact, we can’t give up after every failure.

Failure is the path of the winner, or so they say. It is when we learn through our mistakes that we can chase the path of perfection. So fail once, and fail a thousand more times, because each time you do, you come closer to the result that you want.

When the going gets tough and hopeless, we just give up. What’s the point of trying if we have a 99% chance of losing anyway? It’s better to just give up while we can and save ourselves all the effort of pushing so hard.

But what about the 1% chance that we still hold in our hands? Giving up means we have a 100% chance of losing. At least if we tried, we still have a 1% chance of success. Something is better than nothing. We might lose if we try, but we will definitely lose if we don’t.

We’ve all done things that we regret. It’s easy to get lost in melancholy thinking of the “what if’s”, and how we could have done things differently. But whilst we do so, the world keeps spinning without us. Life moves ever onwards while we wallow in our tears and regrets.

At the end of the day, we can only move forward if we let go of the past. In this treacherous path of life, we will always have regrets. But regardless, we must move forwards, for we are human.

There are many moments when anime seems to transcend its medium, and almost seems like it reaches out to teach us important life lessons. Certainly, they aren’t always the right ones, but when they are, they’re very right and poignant.

The struggles of the characters who say these lines can often be parallel with our own, reflecting who we are as a person. So it really shows that we can move forward if these characters who have it as hard or even worse than us can do the same.

Na’vi vs the Alliance: Why This DOTA 2 Rivalry Is One Of The Best in eSports

Na’vi is one of the most storied teams in DOTA history. Winners of the first International tournament, and runners up in the second and third International, Na’vi has always been in the discussion for best DOTA 2 team in the world since the game was in extremely closed beta. Equipo dota 2 navi vs alliance With living legends such as Ars Art and LightofHeaven as former members and DOTA prodigies like Dendi on the current roster, Na’vi’s history in the short existence of DOTA 2 is already storied and filled with some of the best players the game has known. So it’s no wonder that a team like Na’vi is a constant fan favorite, being a DOTA 2 team that has seen the coming and going of dozens of top level DOTA teams and staying strong throughout all of it.

The current Na’vi roster of Xboct, Funn1k, Kuroky, Dendi and captain Puppey

Who could stand against one of the strongest and longest lasting organizations in DOTA 2?

Enter the [A]lliance, a team who seemingly appeared out of nowhere in early 2013 to simply come into the scene with the force of 1000 Sunstrikes. An entirely Swedish team, the Alliance quickly established themselves as a powerhouse by defeating many of the top tier Chinese DOTA 2 teams in the G-1 Champion’s League, a tournament that included International attendees DK, Liquid, and Orange. After proving themselves at these early tournaments and generating a lot of attention and hype with their now infamous “boot camp” before TI3, the Alliance lived up to their perceived potential and won the International 3 in convincing fashion.

The [A]lliance from left to right: Loda, Akke, captain s4, EGM, and Admiral Bulldog

It’s debatable that Na’vi and the Alliance are the top 2 teams in the world at the moment, and they never fail to take the opportunity to prove this. Constantly playing each other in Grand Finals or Winner’s brackets of tournaments, these two powerhouses clash often and their match-ups are always a spectacle to watch. With their sets often going the distance, be it 3 or 5 matches, their play against each other is, in all senses of the phrase, a back and forth slug-fest. Be it for a circuit tournament, or the title of “Best Team in the World” these teams always give it their all against each other.

You’d think after meeting each other so often in such high stakes scenarios, with literally over one million dollars on the line one time, there would be a bitter hatred and rivalry between these two teams, akin to a Hattsfield/McCoy or Yankees/Red Sox blood feud. Even their playstyles, with Na’Vi’s classic teamfight compositions vs. Alliance’s infamous “rat DOTA” split pushing tactics, the teams are polar opposites and their attitudes toward each other must be abrasive, right?

If you think that, you would be so very, very wrong. The comradeship from these two teams, and the DOTA 2 competitive scene in general, is quite different than what you would expect. Admiral Bulldog himself owes a true debt to Dendi, who gave him the opportunity to play DOTA 2 competitively by having him play as a Na’Vi stand-in after playing with him in some pub games. Additionally, the two players share humorous banter on their Twitters often.

Between their skill levels, the stakes they play for, and the genuine friendship that these two teams appear to share, this rivalry proves to be, at least to me, the best one in all of eSports right now and is a great thing for it. The legitimate sportsmanship that these two teams have toward each other could convince even the most staunch believers of “eSports aren’t real” that there may be some merit in the concept of eSports. As time and DOTA 2 itself progresses, it was be interesting, even exciting, to watch these two teams advance their play and for their rivalry to grow.

Q: Who is the most versatile Dota 2 Professional Player? (Most heroes played)

Initially my first thought is someone who has switched roles multiple times and has a significantly high cap.

Fear and golblack come to mind, both players have played a huge amount of games in multiple positions, as they are both retired i’m going to go with solo. Due to him switching roles like 3x and the recent showing at the summit showing the versitility of the russian’s .

However that is a stab in the dark. I’m curious as to who it actually is though..

Q: Which heros is pugna’s pet? – Lore wise

i think the most versatile is notail, he has abt 100 heroes played in professional matches

    @peekaboo, viper ?
Q: how to make hero loadout not appear fully ( naked ) like in singsing stream?

    @peekaboo and @daddy
For retired players, fear is the most versatile player with 104 heroes played, Second if I recall correctly is Kuroky, followed by N0tail.

Q: Who is the first player called “The Pianist” because of his Invoker skills?

Q:Who is the LEAST versatile pro player

To make your hero semi naked you actually have to have a set for the hero and equip it at tower showdown iirc. its a bug not luck. ..not sure about the details. like the exact timing of equipping the set

Least versatile has to be ma boii with the 2 hero pool admiral bulldog/ ma boii with the 1 hero pool attacker

    Dendi. Qop, magnus, storm, TA

Bulldog plays np, ld, brood, but also has some bristle, void, bat, and beastmaster games, this was in ti6, his last tournament

    Q. Who’s won the most tournament money in dota2 all time?

Universe won the most money I believe.

Suggestion: Since this thread looks like a shitshow, with everyone commenting answering questions asked by people 2 or 3 comments behind them, I suggest that the person commenting should:

    1. @Dire Wolf: It is Universe, who is slightly above his EG counterparts since he has attended every TI.
    2. (No question asked by previous commenter).
    3. Question: True/False? You can detonate Techies mines in the current patch using your courier without killing it.

Yeah it’s universe by a tad. Then it’s like all of ex wings from the one ti6 win lol, then aui. It’s impressive to see the guys who haven’t won ti or tons of majors cus it speaks to their staying power like kuroky, puppey and misery all top 20 dota earners.

    DotA [ edit ]

Pajkatt established himself in the DotA scene as a player for Xeo Divine in 2009. His first top team was “Ben’s Fuck Buddies”, [1] but he only played with them for a few weeks. [2] He continued to stand-in for a bunch of teams over the next months, and in May 2010 he finally joined “Ducky’s Dream Team” on a permanent basis. [3] He played ESWC with the team but then proceeded to join players like KuroKy and Puppey in a sequence of teams, most notably GGnet. [4] His last team in DotA was OK. Nirvana. Dota 2 [ edit ]

Pajkatt transitioned to Dota 2 together with his team OK. Nirvana. Dota 2 pajkatt invoker set int in time for The International 2011. [6] They finished at 7-8th place in the tournament, and Pajkatt notably had the highest average gold per minute over the whole tournament of all players. [7]

Two months later Evil Geniuses announced the recruitment of a Dota 2 squad, with Pajkatt being a part of it together with Fear, DeMoN, MiSeRy and PlaymatE. [8] The team would be sent to China for a two month bootcamp to improve and compete with Asian teams. [8] After the homecoming Pajkatt left EG to instead join his old teammates and countrymen Loda, Akke and Mirakel in eXperience Gaming, abbreviated xP. [9] They were picked up by Counter Logic Gaming in February 2012. [10] Under this flag they got many good results, they won BeyondTheSummit World Tour and finished runner-ups in The Premier League Season 2 and ProDOTA World League Season 1.

On October 16th 2012, it was announced that Pajkatt would be joining LGD. international, along with Brax, MiSeRy, 1437, and God. [11] Their first result as a team would come in December, when they won Gigabyte E-Sports Tournament after beating their sister team LGD. cn in the finals. In March 2013 they lost a hard fought final of the G-League 2012 Season 2 to invictus Gaming.

On December 13th 2013, citing communication issues and failing to renew his visa, he announced his departure from LGD. international. [12] Pajkatt went on to join mousesports on May 13th, 2014 where they achieved, most notably, a 4th position finish in Asus ROG DreamLeague Season1, where they lost 0:2 to Team Empire. In The International 2014 they went out 11th – 12th to Newbee who went on to win the tournament. In the post TI4 player shuffle, Pajkatt remained on Mouz but banded up with qojqva, SingSing, EGM, and BuLba to form the star-studded Team Tinker, a ‘temporary’ team created to participate in i-League Europe-Americas qualifiers.

On July 31st 2017, it was announced that Pajkatt left Natus Vincere. [13]

Mars the First Son of Heaven is an aggressive melee strength hero who controls the battlefield with numerous knockbacks and impassable terrain. Equipped with a large shield, his Bulwark passively blocks attacks from the front and sides, making him a very durable fighter in most situations. The same shield allows him to smash enemies and knock them back, dealing critical damage that ignores all evasion. The Spear of Mars can be thrown at long range, piercing enemies to push them back, and stunning them upon contact with trees or terrain. Mars’ most potent ability creates an Arena Of Blood, a circular zone where no enemy can exit or enter, as well as blocking enemy attacks from the outside. Used correctly, the Arena Of Blood can decisively split and cut off enemies from support during teamfights, making Mars a valuable asset to his team, as well as a highly dangerous opponent.

    Contents

    Bio [ edit ]

Mars, first son of heaven, spent a long existence waging endless war, and saw countless more crusades waged beneath the banner of his old name. Wars of conquest and of vengeance. Just and unjust. Always cruel. So much like his father, Mars indulged his basest impulses–with inclinations much more monstrous than those of Zeus–and he inflicted suffering untold.

But as the epochs vanished behind him, the selfish ways of his father–the ways of many amongst his godly kin, they who judged him despicable–eventually began to ring hollow. War for its own sake was no longer enough to satisfy his desires. For the first time in his ageless days, the god of war began to question to what ends he swung his glorious spear.

As the Fates would have it, his solution came easily: he must wage war for a larger purpose, and inspire more than mere savagery and sorrow at the sight of his crest. He must at last lay claim to the mantle of leadership that is his birthright, for the time has come to burn down the pantheon of the old age and build a just new empire atop the ashes of his kin. Only then might he find satisfaction, and make the glory of Mars evident to all.

    Abilities [ edit ]

    • The spear travels at a speed of 1400, taking 0.64/0.71/0.79/0.86 seconds to reach maximum distance.
    • The spear starts traveling exactly on Mars’ location, and travels forward up to 900/1000/1100/1200 range.
      • Although within the spear’s search radius, it does not hit enemies behind Mars upon cast.
      • Can hit units up to 1025/1125/1225/1325 range away (travel distance + radius).
    • The first hero the spear strikes gets damaged and dragged along with the spear. The hero is stunned during the drag.
      • When not hitting a building, tree, or cliff, the enemy is dragged so that they are 900/1000/1100/1200 range away from the original cast location.
      • When hitting a building, tree, or cliff, the hero is moved closely to the pinned object and stunned.
      • Buildings include every building, enemy and allied ones alike, but excludes the shops.
      • Trees include the trees from Sprout , and Iron Branch , although Iron Branch trees may be hard to hit due to their tiny collision size.
      • Cliffs include all natural cliffs onto elevated areas, as well as Fissure , Ice Shards , Power Cogs , and Arena Of Blood .
    • A spear may only drag one hero along with it. If that hero dies or gets freed from the spear, it still cannot impale a new hero.
    • Provides true sight over the impaled enemy. No true sight is applied while dragging the enemy along with the spear.
    • Upon losing the impale stun debuff, trees within a 100 radius around the hero get destroyed.
    • Hit non-hero units (including creep-heroes), as well as secondary heroes are damaged and knocked back instead.
      • The knockback direction is based on the angle between the hit unit and the spear.
      • The knockback does not disable units. They can still turn, attack and use items. Channeling abilities or items are not interrupted by it.
      • The knockback destroys every tree the units collide with.
    • The spear cannot collide with invulnerable or hidden units, it simply flies through them.
    • The spear provides 300 radius flying vision as it travels.
      • When not impaling a hero to an object, the vision lingers at the final location for 1 second.
      • When impaling a hero to an object, the vision lingers based on the default stun duration.

The new heroes started their journey pretty underpowered, not even reaching 45% win rate in their opening days. Players getting acquainted with their skill set and some balance changes have finally made heroes playable in high level pubs and also made it possible to start discussing them, since it is unlikely they will be receiving anything but some minor number tweaks in the nearest future.

The Reach beta has concluded and the team is now working hard towards the Season 1 launch. Here we share some of the details on the upcoming Season, and what players can expect when they log in to play.

The new patch is wild, with all the positive and maybe some negative connotations this word implies. As such, we are trying to be extremely cautious when discussing it so that we don’t unnecessarily invoke some misguided disenchantment from the community.

62 new items are available for finding, not purchasing. You can now build your inventory through jungling and not spending your gold. Is this good? Bad? Who knows, it’s too early to tell.

The Reach Beta has been a valuable month for us at Elo. The feedback from our community has allowed us to make considerable progress in refining the key automated systems of the platform and we couldn’t possibly be more excited to see people begin to play in Season One.

This is going to be less of a stats recap and more of a farewell to a patch, which overstayed its welcome for at least a couple of months. Instead of going over the same heroes once more, we felt it is more appropriate to highlight some of the heroes which were outside of the meta at the tournament’s start, but nevertheless had a great impact in the later stages of MDL Chengdu.

Bounty runes, come back gold, ancient creeps, camps stacking, and more. The economy of Dota keeps growing and growing but how does that affect supports and cores?

We’ve done a lot of testing with our current systems in the Reach league and are finally confident in opening it up to more users. Divine level players may now participate in Reach, effective immediately.

The first major tournament of the season is finally happening. Get up to date with all the teams participating, their odds of winning it all, and more!

Patch 7.22 is certainly overstaying its welcome and it clearly shows in the current professional tournaments. There are almost no new meta developments and for the most part the Summit 11 concentrated on the same exact heroes as the tournaments prior.

Captains and drafters are some of the most revered pros in the scene. The genius drafting strategies and counter picks can win the game before the first bounty runes spawn. Here are some draft ideas to try out for your next battle cup tournament.

Reach had an exciting and informative first week of games, with over 1000 matches played, and over 1200 unique players participating. Here’s the rundown on week 1, and what’s coming down the pipeline.

The idea of a tanky frontline hero in the offlane has been repeated over and over again for the last several months. It makes sense on the professional scene, while working incredibly well in pubs. Building survivability items and allowing yourself to be initiated on has become the go to strategy for a lot of teams and it is unlikely to change until after the new patch is released.

MMR may just be a number but a higher number is superior. Read this article to learn a few tips and tricks on growing your MMR number.

The current meta has been established for a long time but teams still must find their slight edge. At ESL One Hamburg 2019, we saw more of what we’ve been seeing for a few months now.

Dota 2 – Pro Tips For Playing Wisp/Io

    1. Tether to an ally whenever possible

With only 40mp cost, tether grants your ally 1.5x the amount of HP/MP Io is regenerating, not to mentioned the extra 17% movement speed. At level 1 without any item, a full duration tether grants your ally:

    • 12 HP (More survivability on lane)
    • 18 MP (More mp to spam skills for last hit or harassment)

50 movement speed (A free boots of speed! Mobility to last hit/harass or to chase/escape enemy)

  • Lower chance of getting ganked (Enemy will be more cautious to walk into tether slow)
  • Kill potential (100% slow for enemy who wander too close)
  • 2. Tether positioning

    • Ideally, the tether should be parallel to the creep line. This will prevent enemy melee heroes from coming in for last hits.
    • If enemy come in too close, Io or ally can move forward a bit to get the tether slow and harass them a bit.
    • If Io and ally are dominating the lane, they should go past the creep line.
    • However, if Io is losing the lane or up against heavy nukers, Io should be a bit conservative as he is very squishy

    3. Make sure your HP/MP is not full

Your tethered ally regenerates only when Io regenerates. Your tethered ally will not regenerate if Io has full HP/MP. Hence picking a point in overcharge early on is important as it allows Io to lose some hp/mp.

One of the best way to heal your ally when your hp is full is to urn yourself and activate overcharge (an urn last 8 seconds, so ensure you have the appropriate time left on your tether for maximum benefit)

    4. Ask your ally for regen items

With tether everything is worth 2.5 times more:

    • Tango heals 287 HP (172HP on ally and 115HP on Io)
    • Salve heals 1000HP (600HP on ally and 400HP on Io)
    • Clarity recovers 250MP (150MP on ally and 100MP on Io)

It is very hard for enemies to keep up with these insane regen, hence Io and ally should keep on harassing enemies or even trading damage until the enemies are out of regen items. Then Io and ally will easily have lane dominance.

    5. Using spirits to zone out enemy

Nobody wants to eat a spirit in their face. So use that to your advantage during laning stage. This can effectively zone enemy heroes out of experience range and give your ally free reign over last hitting

    6. Using spirits to jungle

Spirits can also be used to jungle, making sure that Io doesn’t leech experience from the core. Just activate spirits to the minimum range, stand close to the creeps and the spirits will haunt them to their deaths. Remember that Io can be quite squishy early on to tank creeps, so you might want to wait until almost the end of the spirits to go close to creep just for burst damage.

Here are some cool tricks about pulling and jungling as a wisp, it is not advisable that you do these in normal games as a wisp main role is to support and buff up your ally. However these tricks could come in handy for special situations.

    7. Using spirits to farm/push lanes

At level 4, every time the spirits passes through a creep, it does 26 damage. That will be 130 damage over a period 5 seconds to every creeps, without even taking into account the spirit burst damage. This can effectively clear out creep wave and it is fairly easy for Io to get the last hit with this skill.

    8. Pressing In / Out twice to make your spirits stop at a location

Instead of pressing spirits out (default key “F”) and spirits in (default key “D”) alternately to make the spirits rotate at a certain radius, you can press spirits out once to increase the radius, then pressing it again to stop it from expanding. This allow the spirits to rotate at any radius besides the minimum and maximum range, very useful when you are chasing enemy.

    9. Abuse instant regen in teamfight

Stickcharges, mekanism, bottle, soul ring and arcane boots can be use to provide burst regen for your tethered ally. This can be used to trap your enemy into thinking that they can kill your ally. When they are in too deep, activate those burst regen and turn the tide around. Just make sure Io’s HP/MP is low enough to provide those regen.

Soul Ring + Mekanism is a great combo to quickly lose HP on Io in order to provide burst heal for your ally.

    10. Time your overcharge

Overcharge doesn’t have an activation cost. Activating it right before enemy skills hit will ensure you and your ally take 20% less damage without expending too much.

    11. Instant tether to an ally after teleporting from fountain
