What Is Dota 2 Stuttering and How to Fix It?

Ever since Valve introduced its highly anticipated 7.00 Update for Dota 2, players have been reporting issues linked to the infamous Dota 2 Stuttering. This issue was somewhat fixed with the previous updates, however, it has now made a return to the MOBA. More so, with the game now running update 7.08, reports suggest the Dota 2 fps stutter issue still persist in the game.

Gamers from across the globe have been reporting instances related to the infamous Dota 2 stutter issue. Consequently, Dota 2 players are on the brink of leaving the game forever, as, for them, it is currently unplayable. However, for all of you, who are affected by this issue, I have some good news for you.

@DOTA2 your dota 2 servers are taking a dump right now stutter / slow motion constantly nonstop ingame

my Dota 2 client have been stuttering in the last 2 weeks, despite low ping… no idea why

It seems there is a way to get rid of the Dota 2 fps stutter, one which is easier to apply and has positives effects. But before I delve into the details, let’s first get a firm grasp on what the stuttering issue is?

Dota 2 Fps Stutter

According to the reports, Dota 2 fps stutter is a sort of a lag spike which freezes the game for a second or so, after a specific period of time, or when things get intense. And since Dota 2 is a game where a single second can have the greatest of impacts, you can just understand how frustrating the stutter can get. For more visual understanding, check out the video below:

By looking at the video above, you can clearly see that playing under the effect of the Dota 2 stuttering issue, is quite difficult. As a result, a fix for this is much needed. However, the fix for this issue isn’t as simple as changing a couple of settings as it is linked to lag. This means there are a lot of things which can be responsible for the Dota 2 fps stutter.

Dota 2 Stuttering Lag Fix

The Dota 2 stutter issue is a product of the lag, the root cause behind this could be linked to factors such as the game’s system requirements and your gaming rig’s performance. However, since I have already covered that in the Kill Ping Dota 2 Lag articles, I would not want to double dip on this matter. So, before you scroll down, I will advise you to check out the Dota 2 lag guide .

  • Make sure all of the drivers on your computer are up-to-date, especially the ones for your GPU
  • Close down any background application which is either using up your internet or is using up a lot of your system’s space
  • Scan and defrag all of the drives, especially the ones where Dota 2 and Steam are located
  • Lower your graphics and v >Bid Farewell to Dota 2 Stuttering Once and For All

Kill Ping is a gaming VPN that features dedicated servers for almost every online game which allow players to play the game without any lag or delays. In other words, Kill Ping is the perfect fix for dealing with this issue.

Players from all over the world have tried out Kill Ping and have enjoyed smooth gaming experience like never before with increased FPS, reduced lag, and spikes. So, if you are the one who wishes to lay waste to Dota 2 stuttering once and for all, I would highly recommend you to give Kill Ping a try. It is one of the best options for online gamers. For more details on the ping boosting VPN, check out the official website.

Captain’s Mode 101

Not so long ago we discussed how playing Random Draft might be a better Dota experience, but there is one more mode to play in ranked matchmaking. One that gives the most control over how the game will develop and what strategy each team will adhere. Excitement in Captains Mode starts from the very beginning, and here are some general tips on improving your drafts and creating playable team compositions.

Draft Disables

There is a reason this rule is at the top of the list. It is possible to make a functional draft without a single stun, but it will still put your team at a major disadvantage. Draft your disables and draft them early, otherwise you will be cornered in a situation, where you will need very specific hero for a specific role and having limited options is never good.

Catch vs Initiation Heroes

Centaur Warrunner is an initiator. So is Magnus, but these heroes are very different. When drafting your disables, keep in mind cooldowns and how abilities play out. Lately, in the pro-scene, teams started drafting one low-cooldown, low-value “catch”-initiator and one big teamfight turning hero like Warlock. This allows teams to successfully gank, without the repercussions of long cooldowns. But when there is a massive teamfight, they are prepared.

“Cheese” heroes

Counter-picking is bread and butter of Captains Mode, but there are several heroes in the game, which require an answer before they are even drafted or thought of. Keeping these heroes in mind is always a good idea—their pick can completely change the landscape of the game and the draft.

Luckily, these heroes are generally hard to play and not every team will have a good dedicated player for Meepo, Broodmother, Visage etc. Regardless, keeping these “cheese” heroes in mind is always a good idea and having at least some form of outpush, some form of AoE control and some answers to split-push is a necessity.

Ask teammates to check enemy profiles

There is nothing wrong with getting to know your enemy before the game begins. A lot of players are exceptionally good on some heroes and play them a lot. Allowing them to pick such hero is a huge mistake. You might be playing in a 3k average game, but it doesn’t mean that one of the enemies can’t play Visage like a 5k. Checking the “cheese” heroes is a priority, but even more regular confident picks for the enemy can be devastating for your team.

Opening Picks

Keep your opening picks flexible. They do not necessarily need to be trick heroes, but they shouldn’t force you into a particular strategy archetype either. The current meta revolves around early position 3 or 4 picks, generally with a good “catch” hero or a strong counter-initiator. These heroes fit virtually any lineup and every team needs disables.

Do not over-respond to the enemy’s draft

This mistake is a lot harder to unlearn since most players are programmed to respond to specific enemy picks with specific picks of their own. Yes, counter-picking is great, but dedicating more than two heroes specifically for shutting down one of the enemy heroes will leave you with a mess of a team. Countering the enemy strategy is good. Having your own strategy and game plan is better.

Know your teammates

This is applicable at all levels of play. A player having very high MMR doesn’t mean he can play every single hero in the game. Morphling can be the absolute best pick for the situation, but if you don’t have a player to execute the hero properly, going for a more comfortable option is almost always better. Push your team to their limits, but not over it.

Keep early game in mind

The pace of the game is very different from the one we had in the 6.8x era, where the comeback gold mechanic made comebacks so much easier. The current metagame doesn’t allow for complete throws of the early game. You don’t need to dominate all three lanes to win the game and it is possible to get back into the action after a series of successful high ground defences, but why put yourself in such position in the first place? Laning is important, heroes don’t automatically start the game with level 6 and having ways to deal with early skirmishes is advised.

Know your timings and play according to them

This is less of a draft problem and more of an execution one, but it still worth mentioning. Different team compositions will peak at different timings. Some teams will only get stronger as the game progresses, while others will be an absolute powerhouse in the 20-30 minute window, but will quickly fizzle away afterwards. Play what you drafted. Gank if you need to gank, push if you need to push or turtle up if you need to. Don’t get sucked into the automatic pattern of Dota, but rather think of what your specific lineup needs to do at this specific moment.

Dota 2 invoker pro sunstrike danes

Dota 2 invoker pro sunstrike danes

Dota 2 invoker pro sunstrike danes

Blind sunstrikes are based on having played the game a bunch and predicting where your opponent is pathing.

Just keep practicing. Based on the movement speed of who your striking you take a guess as to which way you think they escaped. Less experienced players will probably auto-path back towards the fountain, so you’ll take a guess at where you think they are.

It’s the same thing with Mirana arrows or any other long range skillshot. You’re basically just predicting based on their movement speed. That comes just from playing the game a lot.

PS – Also, youtube is gonna be full of successful attempts from highly experienced players. Most players don’t put up montages of their missed blind shots.

Honestly you just have to know how far the given character will move so you could time your sunstrike right on top of them.

What I do is when I see character running is that I evaluate the distance certain character move in short period of time and judge by my own sense where the character will be when sunstrike lands. I’m not pro invoker by any means as I haven’t played much of him but I can land sunstrikes rather well even in fog of war as you expect the guy taking the shortest way from his lane to fountain.

In my head it comes down to evaluating the speed of the character within very short period of time and combining with known cast time of sunstrike to make a quick prediction. I just seem to have difficulty equating for phase boots, I almost always miss sunstrikes if guy uses phase boots.

Well, firstly it comes down to experience.

One tip I would like to give is put yourself in the enemy’s place.
Imagine what you would have done at that point of time with an invoker in the opponents team, and then land your Sunstrikes.

Another one would be the delay for the sunstrike, you should know exactly when the sunstrike is gonna hit and judge the enemy’s path.

I’ve been on youtube and google searching for videos and articles on how to land invoker’s sunstrike but so far all I’ve came across were montages of sunstrikes. I do not know how to “become one with the sunstrike” and reach the apex of zen and targeting. My problems with this skill is I never seem to time it right. People just either walk right through it or my sunstrike is too early. Some times I try to pick people off in their fountain but it never lands.
Can someone help me learn how to time this spell?
Is it mostly through experience or is there another way to time it?

The easiest way is to have a Bloodseeker on your team who specs thirst early, that way you can see low hp targets.
Most people are too dumb to click into less traveled paths, and will normally click the fountain and sit back to wait.

Aside from that, just practice

Well, firstly it comes down to experience.

One tip I would like to give is put yourself in the enemy’s place.
Imagine what you would have done at that point of time with an invoker in the opponents team, and then land your Sunstrikes.

Another one would be the delay for the sunstrike, you should know exactly when the sunstrike is gonna hit and judge the enemy’s path.

In my opinion, whenever you hesitate from casting sun strike, it is often better to wait a little bit and see the enemy’s moving pattern. Some may have a random one, but mostly they tend to repeat their patterns, for example, they will zig-zag, then do a circle, zig-zag more and probably turn right or left, depending on the environment.

It is also easier to pick off enemies from fights, as they will not focus on dodging your sun strikes. But keep in mind, the enemy may turn around and try to cast a spell or fight, so, as I said, its better to wait a bit. This does not apply to all cases, as sometimes its better to cast sun strike quickly, as the enemies would realize you have SS ready.

All in all, its better to play Invoker on pubs than practice on bots. Bots tend to be more annoying than realistic (I can never hit an arrow, sun strike, or a hook on those ♥♥♥♥ers). All the skill comes with practice, so keep on trying to hit sun strikes.

For global range ones, though, it may be better not to take a shot. Unless you saw your enemy about 10 seconds ago, people tend to lose proximity of the enemy’s location. Try to wait a bit, maybe they might have gone elsewhere. Try to take as much opportunities. But most of all, since you’re kind of new, it will be better to focus on sun strikes than just throwing it off, hoping to hit someone. The feeling and estimation will eventually come. By then, you will most likely be familiar with it all.

General Discussion2k vs immortal, nop no chance lol

By playing a couple of 1v1 games with. eXcel (hey dude that’s my other acc) which dude is actually immortal. I couldn’t last hit a creep. I tried controlling the lane to be at my side, being at the high ground, having shorter attack range if I am playing with range so I can cs creeps faster and still.. I couldn’t get the last hit. At the time where I had 9 creeps, this dude had like 40.

So guys, is there any particular way, a technique of when and how to attack creeps so I can have higher cs.

It seems nearly impossible getting so many creeps at such time. So I’ve tried focusing my eyes on the ranged creep’s attack, so based on the animation I can attack, I’m still developing this habit and it does get better, is there any more to it?

Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

i still get destroyed by legends in mid now and then

not even kidding

yes, playing mid is smth to particularly train. i never did it and now i kind of a creep there to be harvested by enemy midder

why don’t you show us some twitch clip from your stream where you play against some 2k guy
we all missed them since you went on hiatus, you should make up for it now that you’re back =)

Just pick cheese heroes and you win mid with crutches ez

make sure you get the resources to secure last hit in mid. That’s about it. For a lot of melee heroes it’s starting with quelling, and everyone else it’s getting enough stats and regen.

* Manage creep HPs to make him choose between denying you and last hitting
* Plan creeps death order according to the aggro and DPS accordingly to reach dilemna scenario. Re-draw aggro if needed
* Don’t fuck up lane equilibrium in your disadvantage
* Don’t hesitate to use wave clears to get several creeps at the same time or to secure this cheesy last hit in early (Sumiya sunstrike ranged lvl 1 in 7.19 xDDDD). Combine it with clari/bottle.
* Punish him with auto-attacks if he does the attack-cancel-not_moving_l0lLol_noob thing. These people usually don’t react as they are too focused on cancelling their attack.
* Punish him on last hits you can’t get

One of the thing which is hard in your question is that you seem disadvantaged in terms of range, hence reducing your capability to punish him with auto attacks without risking your positioning.

The punishment thing is part of the psychological warfare in which you’ll either force him to buy salve => hide to regen (letting you last hit), either tilt him, either renounce to denying some creeps as they might reach the health in which you can kill him.

If you get outdrafted in terms of base attack time, animation and damages, you won’t be able to get most last hit against a good player without spells anyway.

Last of all, in a real game with this scenario (not being able to technically compete on last hits), you’ll end up just clearing waves (and getting some last hits that way) before runes -> get runes -> gank lanes.

General DiscussionIs dota the most high skill game there is?

I think so. Maybe fighting games are close in terms of execution but dota is deeper in the other gameplay.
Thoughts?

Also sure the game can be cancer from the matchmaking and report system but holy fuck I love this retarded ass game since I played my first dota 1 matches. There is nothing like a good match of dota .

amazing game but retarded community
70 IQ avg.

Dota 2 is a game for survivals from toxic world.

Mechnically? Hell no. Starcraft 1 > Warcraft 3 > Starcraft 2 > Dota 1 > Dota 2.

Other games requiere the same amount of “big brain time”, just with different aspects. Football isn’t more skill based than basketball. You need different skills, but the overall requirment to perform at the toplvl is just equally high aka can’t be compared.

You have no idea of fighting games if you think they are just mechanics. Try learning Tekken for a while.

why would i learn garbage

I personally think wc3 to be harder than dota tho .

But yeah one of the hardest popular games .

Rocket league requires more skill for sure. Anyone can click an ability button on dota or league.

wc3 IS SO MUCH HARDER

Mechnically? Hell no. Starcraft 1 > Warcraft 3 > Starcraft 2 > Dota 1 > Dota 2.

Fighting games are somewhat hard to get into but they mostly are a game about rock paper scissors because you can’t plan out that much more than 2 or 3 moves ahead.

You have no idea of fighting games if you think they are just mechanics. Try learning Tekken for a while.

Dota would be a more complex and more interesting game if you could play as the five heros at the same time, that’d be somewhat complex

Lol @ Zarse. Most of us using Hotkeys or scripts? You clearly never played Iccup #1. Clearly #2 your garbage. Almost everyone ran CC script that detected anyone using scripts at high levels because we didn’t have time to waste on retards. As a player who hit A – semi pro and also had an EAPM of 189 Average and played against Pros that’s extremely false. I played like 150 games a month and would only run into 5 Scripters on average and only 1 being on iccup which would get banned shortly after due to their strict rules. #2 Saynig pros don’t micro much? once again a player that only plays vs dumpster tier players. Every game above C+ was full of casting and Micro. You fail ur goon micro vs the first Vulture rush WHICH THEY MICRO you lose. Clearly you never played BW at a high Level. “Fighting games you cant plan more then 2 or 3 moves ahead.” once again a player who didn’t play at high skill. You have to plan several moves in head from looking for the TOD combo to every block sequence if applicable to what fighters have abilities that miss simply from body design. FighterZ for example.

189 APM (not even +215 as a starting point) and Fighterz (downgraded blazblue, which is downgraded guilty gear, of which are completely different games to Tekken) as examples
Legend 7 and a ‘pro’ on starcraft

I don’t even need to reply do I? Do you see where I’m going with this or do I need to write it?

Jesus christ I just saw your hours in relation to your rank. Get professional help

Dota Lore Spotlight #1: Arc Warden

The primordial mind and the birth of the Dota 2 universe

The world of Dota 2 is immersive and expansive, and serves to enrich the Dota experience. In our Dota Lore Spotlight column, we will attempt to shine a light on the lore of Dota 2, and hopefully add further depth to your gameplay. Our first subject of examination is Arc Warden – a fragment of a primordial mind that was present at the very beginning of the universe, and continued to evolve through the eons. Without further ado, here is the story of Zet.

As is the case with most lore, the narrative is inclined to begin where the inception of the universe unfolds. Be it stories of world parent deities, theories of creation from chaos, or something else entirely, video game mythologies strive to present a unique and engaging creation myth, and though it may not be utilized to its full potential within the game itself, the lore of Dota 2 is no different. In order to learn how the Dota universe came to be, and what ignited the grand feud between the Radiant and the Dire, one must look to the primordial mind, a fantastical but cryptic tale of creation that explains the chain of events that led to the conflict of the Nemesis Stones, and serves as the biography of Zet, the Arc Warden.

At first, Dota 2 seems to present us with a deceptively simple concept; two factions, in this case the Radiant and the Dire, meet on a square battlefield with the goal of destroying the opposing factions base and specifically the glowing stone structure that dwells at the base center. It’s a tried and true video game scenario, and it’s easy to mistake it for being somewhat lacking in depth, but the Radiant and Dire are not waging war without reason – and their reasoning dates back to a time before time, where there existed a single enigmatic presence.

Before the universe took shape, there existed a consciousness, vaguely described as a “primordial mind”. Seemingly omnipotent, omnipresent, and infinitely incomprehensible, this presence was all that existed, and it existed beyond human concepts of time, space, and purpose. The being is assumed to have had the power to manipulate reality at will, but there are no records of such powers ever being exercised. Instead, the primordial mind lay dormant for uncounted eons, until one day, the great cosmic silence was broken through means hitherto unexplained, when the universe suddenly exploded into existence and the primordial mind suffered the consequences of the dramatic event. What had once been a singular godly being had been shattered by the sheer force of a universe being born and was torn into several fragmented minds, each one with its own identity and powers. The two greatest fragments of the previously unified primordial mind had taken the separate identities of Radinthul and Diruulth, soon to become known to us as the Radiant and the Dire.

Radinthul and Diruulth had become each others polar opposite, and wielding infinite, yet evenly matched power, one sought to destroy the other by bending reality as it saw fit. This conflict went on seemingly without end, until one day, when a third fragment of the shattered primordial mind revealed itself as Zet, another powerful entity spawned from the calamity that birthed the universe. Zet yearned for unification and harmony, the endless conflict between two fragments of what had once been a single mind proved itself appalling to Zet, and it decided to once again unify his siblings, by force if that was what it would take.

Using its vast cosmic powers, Zet imprisoned its siblings within one celestial body that soon became known as the Mad Moon and flung it into orbit around a lone planet in the now expansive universe where he hoped for the warring entities to drift aimlessly forever, effectively putting an end to their conflict. And, for a time, it worked. Zet served as the warden watching over the imprisoned fragments but since the primordial mind itself had been shattered, neither Zet nor his sibling fragments wielded the once infinite power of the unified entity. For this reason, Radinthul and Diruulth continued their struggle from within the Mad Moon and Zet’s power started steadily waning, until one day, its power had been so severely diminished that it could no longer contain its siblings. The Mad Moon had been deteriorating as Zet grew weary and the decay culminated in the moon violently bursting at the seams, flinging stones infused with the warring consciousnesses down to the planet below, marking the beginning of the Nemesis Stones and their warfare on Earth.

The debris infused with the warring siblings became known as Radiant Ore and Direstone, due to the influence of Radinthul and Diruulth, and with their presence in the stone came their impact on the planet they now found themselves inhibiting. The Radiant favored intelligence and creation, while the Dire retained its role as a polar opposite, and favored strength and destruction. The entities exercised a powerful mind altering effect on living beings, causing creatures on Earth to take the side of whichever stone formation was closest to them. This is how the Dota-conflict began – heroes from all corners of the Earth felt the pull of the Radiant and the Dire, and as the stones continued to dominate their minds. Gatherings of heroes began to champion the nemesis causes of the Radiant and the Dire on the battlefield. The Defence of the Ancients had begun.

Zet, however, had not given up despite being severely drained of its once great power. As this took place, the severely weakened Arc Warden called on a corporeal body and made itself known on the battlefield to join the fray, not championing the Radiant or the Dire, but still fighting to achieve the unity it had known as part of the primordial mind. A shattered entity, Zet wields the power of its lesser fragments in combat, infusing enemies with arcs of volatile electricity, patrolling areas with wraiths of sparks, twisting the space around him to shield himself with magnetic fields, and ultimately calling upon a fractured mirror image of itself to briefly aid it in its battle to destroy both the Radiant and the Dire, so that it may achieve unity once again.

Top 10 Best Dota 2 Teams in History 2019

Dota 2 has been one of the best game in history.

It is so good and well-known that it became the top performing eSports game in terms of the prize pool.

With this prize money, many teams were lured from all over the world to experience the thrill of eSports and at the same time carry their pride as they fight for the Aegis of Immortal – the trophy that signifies a team’s championship victory in the biggest eSports event in history – Dota 2’s The International tournament.

It is very easy to build a Dota 2 team, but what’s difficult is the competition.

The competition is so intense in this game that only the finest of players can join tournaments.

On top of that, players of each team must have a very good teamwork regardless if they are individually the best. Dota 2 is a game where teamwork matters most, and with that said, let us share to you our top 10 best Dota 2 teams in history.

10. Mineski

Mineski was originally an all-filipino team which originated in the Philippines. It is without a doubt the most famous Dota 1 Filipino team, and has been one of the best as well in the Philippines in terms of Dota 2.

Despite struggling against their number 1 rival in the Philippines which is the TNC, Mineski have proven themselves worthy as one of the best Dota 2 team in history after winning the Dota 2 Asia Championship in 2018.

To date, Mineski is still one of the best but they have collaborated with China to make Mineski a mixed Filipino and Chinese team with members from both countries.

9. Fnatic

Another great team that made it up to our top 10 is Fnatic. Fnatic have had ups and downs in Dota 2 tournament history. T hey missed quite a number of majors, and lost a lot of battles, but what made them as one of the best is the roster that they have now.

They have former TI champions like Universe and Aui_2000, and they have been showing promising performance that will make you think that TI could just be on their fingertips this year.

8. Digital Chaos (2016)

It is impossible to miss the Digital Chaos roster of 2016. Misery, w33, and the rest of the team were almost treated like a joke because their roster was kind of rushed during this time. However, they have proven everyone wrong when they made it to the championship match of the International 2016, beating EG in the Semi Finals which was a total shock to everybody.

Though they lost against Wings Gaming in the championship match, there’s no denying that they have placed themselves in the best team list as they went from being an underdog, to be one of the most cheered team in TI 2016. Not to mention the teamwork they developed despite being together for a very short time.

7. TNC

This Filipino team is considered to be the best Dota 2 team in the Philippines. This team also has Filipino members only, and they have a number of very loyal players like their captain Kuku. Their members are very versatile and often times they switch roles if necessary.

TNC is more of like an underdog as well as they are quite underrated – until today. However, if you check how well they perform during tournaments; winning championships, and kicking out well-known strong teams, TNC have proven themselves to be one of the best Dota 2 teams and they have been very active in maintaining that status until today.

6. NaVi (2011)

Dota 2 will never be this way if not because of NaVi, most especially because of Dendi.

Though a lot of players have already surpassed Dendi’s skills, Dendi still made a history that can never be forgotten during his performance in the first ever Dota 2 International tournament.

That event is definitely one of the best, not just in Dota 2, but in the whole history of eSports. But even though Dendi was without a doubt their best player, it is actually the whole team that made them win The International Dota 2 tournament that time. They had a very smart captain, and their teamwork and performance were so consistent and planned.

5. Wings Gaming (2016)

This team had a very straightforward performance in The International of 2016. Even during the start of the tournament, both opposing teams and viewers already realized the potential of Wings Gaming. Their standing was pretty much very consistent, and there were a lot of predictions already that they will win TI on that year. Their performance was so smooth, and most of their wins were very easy to predict.

They won TI of 2016 eventually which weren’t really that shocking – as if people were expecting it. However, this team has been banned since then after having issues with their country itself, China, regarding contracts and taxes issues.

4. Virtus Pro

Another team that is so impossible to ignore is Virtus Pro. This Russian team has always been on top in terms of Dota 2, and they have proven this by winning a lot of major tournaments in the recent years. This is also one of the very few teams which has consistent team rosters, and they have been maintaining it until today.

3. Evil Geniuses

A former Ti Champion with a real genius young player, Sumail. This team is surely the most famous among fans because they were so inspired on the fact that Sumail, who’s a teenager, had performed so well leading to their TI win in one of the most sophisticated Dota 2 Chamionship match up in history. This team is also known for its very good teamwork and consistent victories over the years.

OG is the 2018’s The International Dota 2 Tournament champion, and they have been consistent in winning championships over the years. Their Captain, Notail, is also one of the smartest player in the league and has been loyal to the team for years.

Their triumph to the Aegis of Immortal during that tournament was never easy. As a matter of fact, they had to recruit a totally inexperienced pub player (Topson) to join the team which turned out to be a really good player.

This team is also one of the few which has a roster of evenly skilled players – meaning they are all superstars.

1. Team Liquid

The first ever team which swept a TI championship event at 3-0 run. Yes, they never let Newbee win a single game during that time. During this team’s first few games, they were thinking that Miracle will carry the team alone.

However, they were all wrong. It turned out that just like OG, this team also have a roster of 5 superstars. They have won majors after majors, and if ever they are going to lose, they will never fall below the top 5 and will usually be at top 2 at least – a team proven to be second to none.

Additional Information

We all know that the teams of Dota 2 have unpredictable rosters. They change players from time to time, and what we have listed here are the ones that have consistent performance throughout history regardless of the roster they have. There are of course some that are listed here that were only good in a specific year.

So we provided a date after the team’s name to specify that only that year’s roster was considered a part of our list. With that said, we will be updating this list regularly to make sure that our top 10 list will always be up to date.

Dota 2: TI 9 Battle Pass Heroes Prediction

Today, ESTNN has the best picks for the hero specific section of the Battle Pass predictions.

There are less than 3 days until TI 9 begins! This means that you still have some time left to decide which predictions to put in your compendium. Yesterday, we took a look at the most likely tournament predictions you can use. Now, let’s see which heroes have a higher chance to be among the winners in the heroes’ prediction tab.

The most picked hero

This is one of the hardest predictions in the entire compendium. In fact, the amount of the heroes that the pros are playing is so high that predictions this makes it even harder. One of the first heroes that come to mind is Ember Spirit. However, Valve has nerfed him in the last couple of patches, which definitely affected his popularity as well as his overall success.

Our personal choice here is Centaur Warrunner simply because of his incredibly high popularity. This hero just fits in pretty much all lineups. However, similar to Ember Spirit, he also had some issues with nerfs. Go with your gut here.

The most banned hero

There are not that many options to choose here from. Most people will opt to go for IO because he is one of the heroes who can completely control a game. What’s more, IO is always in the top spots in terms of bans, especially when there are teams such as Team Liquid and Team Secret at TI which can utilize this hero effectively.

The hero with the highest win rate

This category is kind of tricky. Generally speaking, this hero has to be one of those that gets picked last. If not, the only other option is for him to be “broken”. Having said that, there are no broken heroes in this meta (at least not like Leshrac during TI5). That’s why our choice will be either Meepo or Broodmother because we see professional teams pick them last often.

The hero with the highest kill average

If we take into consideration the last couple of events, Clinkz is definitely one of the top choices for this prediction. The hero is just so successful in terms of killing his enemies. However, he can be easily countered, which might affect his performance. Despite that, there are not really that many heroes that can compete in this section. Perhaps Broodmother could also be a viable choice.

The hero with the highest assist average

Spirit Breaker, hands down. SB is just all over the place where he gets the chance to play, which is key in this category.

The hero with the lowest death average

There are two very good options here – Anti-Mage and Ember Spirit. Both of them are quite elusive, even though AM tends to be the better choice. After all, the days of the one-shotting Ember Spirits are long gone now, having transitioned into a tempo-controlling core. This means that he’ll see a lot of action from the very start of the game, resulting in a bigger chance of dying more frequently, despite his slippery nature.

The hero with the highest last hit average

Again, Anti-Mage is one of the top choices here. In addition to him, Medusa, Sven or even Timbersaw can be picked here. Also, let’s not forget Naga Siren. In the end, it all comes down to your favorite, for us, it is AM.

The hero with the highest XPM average

One of the first things to keep in mind here are Hands of Midas-building heroes. However, there is one hero that sits above all in this category – Meepo. It is pretty much impossible to have a higher XPM.

The hero with most kills in a game

This is a very difficult category to guess. However, Invoker could be a solid option here because there are many amazing Invoker players at this years’ TI.

The hero with most last hits in a game

Once again, Anti-Mage is a very popular option here. Of course, there are many heroes which could grab this title, including some midlaners. Despite that, the logical answer is to go for some late-game carry. This means that heroes such as Naga Siren, Sven and Medusa are the best choices.
