The International 8, or TI8 for short, kicks off with the group stages today. Here’s where and when you can catch all of the action for the world’s biggest DotA 2 event.

It’s that time again – The International is here for the eighth instalment. The world’s top 18 DotA 2 teams are congregating in Vancouver, Canada to fight for their share of the nearly $25 million prize pool. TI6 schedule and format revealed

The TI6 SEA Qualifiers standings for day 2 are in. TnC has secured their spot at TI6. Fnatic, Execration, WarriorsGaming. Unity and White Fries have advanced into the playoffs. Rave, Signature Trust, Mineski, Orange. Taring and The Mongolz have been eliminated. The double elimination brackets will kick off tomorrow June 27th, at 04:00 CEST.

The TI6 SEA Qualifiers standings are in after a long and eventful day has concluded for the day 2 group stage. Things got really heated today as the race for the first TI6 spot and the playoff spaces were on the line. Games got intense for the top teams with many being thrilling and exciting close matches.

Fnatic, Execration and TnC had compete in a tie-breaker as they all ended the day with a 7:2 record. Even though TnC had defeated both teams the day prior, they were not able to automatically advance.

At the end of it all, TnC has become the first team from SEA to earn their place at TI6.

TI6 SEA Qualifiers standings yield the four regional teams that will advance to the playoffs. Fnatic, Execration, WarriorsGaming. Unity and White Fries will fight for the second spot at TI6 as well as the TI6 Wild Card series spot.

Rave, Signature Trust, Mineski, Orange. Taring and The Mongolz have been eliminated.

TI6 SEA Qualifiers standings day 2

TnC, Fnatic and Execration all had incredibly strong and fantastic showings in the group stage. It was a close race for the first place spot which would award the winner with a direct slot to TI6.

At the end of the scheduled matches, Fnatic had overpowered Mineski pushing the Malaysian squad into the top position and eliminating the Filipino’s at the same time. TnC had defeated Orange. Taring as their last match also giving them the first place position score of 7:2.

The first tie-breaker was set between Fnatic and Execration where Fnatic overwhelmingly took the game with ease. In 38 minutes with a score of 25:5, they took the first win.

The second tie-breaker took place between Fnatic and TnC. After almost 1 hour of playing TnC were able to defeat Fnatic to tie up the record.

TnC had one more final game to win to secure the first TI6 spot for the SEA region. They went head to head against XctN, a team they had bested yesterday. After battling it out for almost 1 hour, TnC seized turned the game around into their favor at the last moments and seized the first TI6 spot.

WarriorsGaming. Unity slipped from the top of the group to the fourth place position today. Although they defeated Mineski, they took loses against Fnatic, The Mongolz and TnC. In the Manila Major the Malaysian team had topped the group stage at the end of day 1, but fell too short to qualify for the playoffs. This year, WG. U advanced and will compete for another chance.

With White Fries last match victory over The Mongolz – the SEA mixed team featuring Benedict Lim “hyhy” Han Yong allowed them to claim the last spot in the playoffs.

All five of the eliminated teams ended up taking only three wins a piece. Rave, Signature Trust, Mineski, Orange. Taring and The Mongolz all ended with a 3:6 record.

The format for the TI6 Regional Qualifiers are different this year to accommodate having two regional spots advance to the TI6 main event and one regional team advance to the TI6 Wild Card series.

The Introduction

Mirana is versatile, but I use her as a carry. With the correct items, you can easily take on the other team and win the game. You should try not to die any more than two times and you should aim for about 20 kills. (19, 18, 17 is fine too)

The Rundown of her Abilities

STARSTORM: Your primary nuke. Mirana has somewhat of a mana problem, which is bad because Starstorm is NOT spammable early game. I repeat, not spammable. Not until you buy Aghanim, which is good. Aghanim’s Scepter triggers Starstorm every couple of seconds an enemy gets in your Starstorm range. The reason why it is not worth it is because the enemy can easily move out of the way. Is a pretty good nuke though and does good damage.

SACRED ARROW: Why Mirana is so famous/infamous. Very tricky to land the arrow from a far distance as the enemy will keep moving and you will find it so annoying because you don’t have a Fiery Soul like Lina does. If you do land the arrow from a faraway distance, good on you! It is very rewarding and you will get a long stun and high damage.

LEAP: Somewhat pointless late-game, but is the tool for ganks. Usually when you gank, the enemy gets away with 10 or less hp left. Why? You missed all your ranged spells and now have no mana or the enemy is faster than you. Leap costs a small amount of mana but has an okay range. Perfect for ganks or escapes.

MOONLIGHT SHADOW: This is not a wow ultimate, but gives invisibility to multiple allies and sets up ganks. However, the invisibility is broken really easily, no k >

Items

– Power Treads give Mirana much needed stats and damage. You will need it to carry.
– Aghanim’s Scepter triggers Starstorm passively every ten seconds when you are in the vision of an enemy. Starstorm] does 300 AoE damage, so that’s a lot of magical damage. Annoying bit is that [[Starstorm will make a lot of Neutral Creeps go aggro at you, not unless you avoid the jungle completely.
– Eye of Skadi gives a slow, making Leap less needed. You should have built up attack speed, so your enemies will constantly be bombarded with cool, icy projectiles.
– Daedalus should synergize well with your high attack speed, causing lots of crits to proc.
– Town Portal Scroll is obvious

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

GOOD – Your friends are heroes with stuns, slows and roots because they can help you position a 5 sec stun arrow. Yummy! This includes Crystal Maiden , Treant Protector , Witch Doctor and possibly Drow Ranger .

BAD – Bad losers are people who can dodge your ganks and remove your hard-earned 5 second stuns. This is Abaddon , Slark , Antimage and QoP.

UGLY – You need to watch out for Nyx Assassin ! Mirana has a ‘meh’ intelligence level but HUGE mana problems.
Scenario 1: Nyx pops out of nowhere with Vendetta and follows up with an Impale , rendering you stuck and unable to use Leap . You get lucky and Leap away and Nyx can’t get you, so you dec > Sacred Arrow to get a kill. However, the Nyx is smart and turns on Spiked Carapace just in time. OUCH! Your Mirana either dies or gets really low on health. Assuming that you d > Mana Burn and you are unable to cast spells and die because he uses auto-attacks. 😦 Very sad. You feed the Nyx who snowballs out of control and lose the game. Everyone is mad at you.

Scenario 2: You dec > Mirana is now higher in Intelligence than Agility. But her Agility is still very high. Nyx uses Vendetta and ganks you and Impale s you to prevent escape. Then you realise that, UH OH, you died or are on extremely low health because of Nyx’s Mana Burn . OUCH. 😦 Very sad. You feed the Nyx who snowballs out of control and lose the game. Everyone is mad at you.

Please be careful with heroes that can easily burst you down.

Summary

Mirana is a strong carry if played in the right way. A couple of notes:

-Do not waste mana on pointless arrows if you know it is a 0.000000000000000000001% chance that you will land the arrow. Arrows cost a ton of mana you know. However, use Sacred Arrow to stop channelling, like Fiend’s Grip from Bane .

– Starstorm is automatically cast in the range AROUND you. Is not cast in an area of your favour.

– Leap also gives nearby allies juicy bonuses such as bonus attack speed and bonus movement speed.

-She has no cheap and cheesy nuke abilities.

-5 second stun will only occur if you have shot from a fairly long distance. Damage also gets larger depending on the amount of effort you put in to shooting from a far distance.

-I checked with the Aghanim. It triggers every 10 secs an enemy gets in range.

-Don’t shoot the Sacred Arrow in a chasing gank if you are super close. If you thought that the Sacred Arrow is a better option than using a Starstorm , you are wrong. A close up Sacred Arrow gives roughly about 1 second or less stun. Starstorm is the better option. The Sacred Arrow can just miss anyway and is a waste of mana. Mirana dota 2 build carry

i think that valve should match people who are playing badly in the same game, and on both sides. this is so both teams have ppl equally on tilt, while people who had been playing well shd be matched with others who had equally been having a good time.

Yes but it means if they’ve been losing than they were a higher MMR before and could technically be better than you.

Maybe for unranked matches, this method could work. But for ranked, numbers are numbers. Considering Source 2’s ability to track matches, I don’t see why this methodology couldn’t be implemented.

Earthshock: In my opinion, this move is not that good and there is not really any point in upgrading it early if you want those kills. The casting time and damage isn’t worth the levels.

Overpower: This is Ursa’s “bread and butter” skill. It is extremely powerful and has a low cooldown and mana cost. This move is what gets you most of your kills (especially in the early game).

Fury Swipes: This skill is also very good and is key to a successful game with Ursa. Dota 2 lina guide dota fire ursa It stacks damage per attack and just imagine how much more damage that is when you have your late game items.

Enrage: Ursa’s ultimate is probably the cheesiest in the all of Dota. Dota 2 lina guide dota fire ursa It is extremely powerful, has a low cooldown time and does so much damage when you have your vlads.

All these times are estimated after what I have done in each game, time may change due to a few early kills or a few early deaths (or bad farming).

Early Game

Early game for Ursa is all the way until he gets his Vlads (then proceeds to slay roshan). In your lane you should be either top or bottom (hardly ever mid unless they decide to put a melee hero mid). You should NEVER EVER be with another carry in the lane because this just limits the last hits you can get. When you spawn ask one of your teammates to buy a courier. Next, buy your starting items which are:
– Two tangos
– 1 Salve
-2 Iron branches

Basically now you want to start farming, wait to get all the last hits. If for some reason your low on health, you should use a tango or slave and stay close to the creeps, don’t last hit but make sure to be within xp range. As soon as you can afford your boots of speed make sure you buy them (obviously using the courier). At this point if you are against another melee hero you can alternate between harassing with Fury Swipes and sometimes Overpower whilst farming. During this point of the game you should be leveling up at least once every minute and you should have your vlads by 10 minutes in. If you know you can get any sure kills, then go for them but you should not die at all during this stage in the game.

As soon as you have your vlads, go to Roshan and using Overpower and Enrage kill him. Pick up the Aegis and get out of the area as fast as you can so you don’t get ganked. Now, the M >

Middle Game

This is your main ganking/pushing phase of the game. At this point you can almost kill any hero. So all you need to do is activate Overpower go up to the hero start attacking and activate Enrage. If they manage to escape with very low life, use your Phase Boots and chase them down. However, be careful as there might be other heroes waiting for you. You can participate in team fights but usually, Ursa is just the clean-up crew. This is when the item build becomes very flexible. If you are missing a lot of kills due to escaping heroes or your team needs more map control, go for a Blink Dagger. If you are taking quite a bit of damage or are against heroes like: Phantom Assassain, Huskar, Anti-Mage or Faceless Void, you may want to get Blademail as its added damage and armor are great not to mention that Damage Return is great to have when soloing a high damage hero or when in team fights.

The next items you should go for are Black King Bar (BKB) and Skull Basher. These two items will help you just dominate the other team giving you magic immunity and a stun. This stun will prevent heroes from getting away from you and the BKB will almost guarantee you will not die in team fights. Remember, Roshan spawns every 10 minutes so keep an eye on the time. By level 16 Ursa should be able to almost solo towers. It is important to destroy the towers using Overpower and Enrage, as the money earned by destroying towers is invaluable.

Late Game

At this point in the game you should be very hard to kill even in a 5 or 4 v 1 situation. If you get your HoT stacked with high armor you hardly lose any health. One thing that is worth mentioning (learned this from experience) don’t forget to push. At times you can be so obsessed with just watching that other heroes health bar go down that you forget about winning. If you play Ursa correctly and reach the item goals, you and your team should win. If you do end up being beaten, you should just tip your hat to the other team and acknowledge they were just better.

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Dendi got an early start with competitive gaming in net cafes when his elder brother married, moved out and took the family’s PC with him. Dabbling with Counter-Strike first, he soon found Warcraft 3 where he played in local tournaments and built a love for the competition and a thirst to be the best. Though he was quite successful in Warcraft 3 and even won a few local championships in Lviv, he knew he had found his calling when he stumbled upon DotA. He picked up the game quickly and played it almost exclusively over the next few months.

Beginning with learning only supports, he practiced heavily and was quickly vouched to the IHCS1 league and soon created his own team for tournaments in Lviv. After he led his team to a championship in Kiev, he was drafted by a team called “Wolker. Gaming” and began his professional career at 17.

DotA [ edit ]

Dendi started playing professionally with WG in 2006. [1] He was a part of the Ukrainian squad that finished third in MYM Prime Nations the same year. Only a few months later WG made it to the grand final of one of the most prestigious tournaments at the time; MYM Prime Defending. [2] When Kingsurf. international merged with WG the next year he became a full-time member of Ks. int. [1] In late 2008 he joined DTS, only to return to Ks. int in March 2009. [3] Three months later though, Dendi returned to DTS. [4] The team would end up finishing 2nd at ESWC 2010. At the end of 2010, Dendi and DTS finished 3rd at the prestigious WDC 2010. [5] Dendi joined Natus Vincere at the end of 2010. [6]

Dota 2 [ edit ]

Dendi started his Dota 2 career with Na’Vi, who quickly established themselves as one of the best teams in the world by winning The International 2011. Na’Vi continued to dominate and won many tournaments in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. Dendi was the center of Na’Vi’s consistent stable and skilled rosters, with his performance greatly contributing to their success.

The Natus Vincere Dota 2 team achieved significant success with Dendi as their midlaner during the first few years of the game; they finished as the runners-up for both The International 2012 and The International 2013, losing out to Invictus Gaming and Alliance, respectively. 2013 would mark the last year of Na’Vi and Dendi’s dominance in the Dota 2 scene, as they only recorded two LAN victories since January 2014. The International 2014 saw Na’Vi and Dendi finishing the tournament outside of the top 2 for the first time and the following two Internationals, TI 5 and TI 6, they would finish in last place. The results would deteriorate further, as they would fail to even qualify for The International 2017, they failed to advance out of the group stage of the regional qualifiers. This marked the first year of The International tournaments without Dendi attending as a player. The 2017/18 season started of promising for Dendi and Na’Vi, who dominated the CIS scene in the early months, crowning their improving results with their second LAN victory since 2014. However, the second half of the season saw the roster break apart and finally the team would fail to even reach the regional qualifiers for The International 2018, after losing in the open qualifier.

Four years of roster instability and poor results finally took their toll on the reputation of the Na’Vi organization and on Dendi’s status as a legendary player and a top tier midlaner. After 8 years playing mid on Na’Vi, Dendi was finally removed from the active roster in September 2018. However, Dendi vowed to continue playing professionally. After a brief stint on Tigers, Dendi joined The Pango.

Valve Hands Out 19-Year Bans to Abusive DOTA 2 Players

Valve has launched a wave of bans against abusive DOTA 2 players, including players who attempt to cheat the game’s matchmaking system. The news was rolled out as part of a DOTA 2 update blog post. Regarding the ban wave, Valve notes that several different groups of various bad actors will now be banned, including players with low behavior scores and players who are detected buying and selling Steam accounts. Anyone using exploits or cheats will also be banned.

These bans will go into effect without advance notice or warning, and Valve isn’t just going to ban people — it’s going to lock out phone numbers. While ordinary Steam users don’t have to associate a phone number with their devices, Valve requires players to provide one if they want to engage in ranked matchmaking. The blog post from Valve is currently offline, but a copy is available from Google Cache.

Smurf accounts — accounts created by the same player to deceptively present themselves as less experienced than they actually are — are also being cracked down on. First, Valve has closed loopholes that allowed players to dodge the phone number verification system. Players will not be allowed to queue for ranked matches until and unless they attach a unique number. Second, access to ranked matches will now require at least 100 hours of playtime in DOTA 2. This should help cut down on the smurfing problem.

Finally, Valve has made changes to the way DOTA’s rank adjustment algorithm behaves, with the goal of assigning players to their correct rank more quickly. If players attempt to game the system but demonstrate a level of skill that indicates they clearly belong in a different group, the game will adjust their matchmaking rating (MMR) more quickly, to line them up against the right players. Because access to ranked is now gated by time played, Valve will also use account history to determine where you should be placed, and hopes these changes will result in players hitting their appropriate rankings more quickly.

DOTA 2 players have not been particularly sympathetic to players getting banned for excessively low community scores or account shenanigans. When Redditor YeezyReseller posted complaining about his treatment, the response from the player community wasn’t very warm or fuzzy.

The player in question had a 509 conduct score. DOTA 2 generates conduct scores in an attempt to inform players that they are being abusive or trollish, and to let them know how to adjust their own behavior. A 509 is… bad. The account in question was also a boosted account based on the win rating, as sniffed out by Redditor Loss35.

I’m mostly a single-player gamer myself, but I’ve been a longtime World of Warcraft player and I’ve dabbled in other online games. Striking a balance between what game mechanics players can and can’t abuse has always been critical to the health of online titles. Put simply, game developers can assume that a certain percentage of their playerbase will choose to maximize their own enjoyment, even at the expense of everyone else playing the game. For some people, that’s the whole point. They don’t want the game to be balanced and they don’t want a fair fight.

Banning players like this is the only way to keep the game running smoothly for everyone else — and banning them for 19 years is infinitely funnier than just slapping people with a forever ban. As for why Valve is banning certain users, the company didn’t mince words: “Users that reach this low level of behavior in the game are too big of a tax on the rest of the community and are not wanted.”
